So, I've used LetGo, I sell on craigslist, eBay, and Amazon, and I'm working on my own Etsy store, so I figured, try letgo, it will be another local storefront! Big waste of time. The people on there are terrible. Whether you offer to meet at that obscure parking lot (I bring friends, never show up alone) or just meet in the driveway, buyers rarely, if ever, show up. Not that they're worth it when they do, Buyers on Letgo are some of the cheapest $#*!tiest scummiest $#*!s I've ever come across, no matter the price you post, they'll offer half or less, even when you price your items 75% under retail or AT wholesale, buyers will ignore the fact its cheaper than anywhere else, to try to lowball for even less. Been threatened for turning down buyers. All in all it is a terrible app and 90% of the buyers on letgo, need to be punched in the face. Yes we know it's called "LetGo" but honestly, we'd like to let it go for some money, not for $#*!ing free. And like I told one buyer "At that price, I'd rather throw it in the trash or burn it than let you have it." biggest waste of time ever. Each buyer shadier than the last. I still use it, for the one descent sale I've made on it, and in hopes of another. Advice, if people are favoriting your stuff, they're even $#*!tier than the regular letgo buyers. The regs, see your price, and offer you half. The Faver wait til you drop your price, THEN offer you 30%. Next $#*!ty offer I get, I'm accepting, telling them to meet me at some scummy parking lot, and never showing up. Actually, thats what I'm going to do from now on. Because $#*! letgo.

The app is good, its the people trying to make a living selling junk that turns me off. I mean come on! $60 for worn out Nikes/Under Armour! They think just because they're name brand that they're worth that much... not! I've gotten better deals at yard sales for crying out loud! A lady was selling blue jeans with worn out spots on the rear, stained and wrinkled; she wanted $10 a pair! Had a guy on there trying to sell 4 bald tires for $100. I thought Letgo was a place to go for REASONABLE prices, guess I was wrong.

It would be one thing if a single person inquired, carried through and actually met up for the sale, but when it's been multiple people who agree to a sale and pick up time then flake... it's almost like some weird game degenerates are playing. That is all I have encountered on this dumb site. Sticking to the local Beg, Barter and Buy sites on Facebook. Oh and one more thing, a local PO told me that Letitgo is full of drug dealing. If you see strange things like "Blue Handled Scissors" price negotiable, it's for drugs...

I was buying a Wii U from a lady in Galesburg, MI (if I knew it was ok to post her name I would) my husband sat for an hour waiting for her with NO RETURN CALLS NI RETURN TEXTS NOTHING! I sent her another message stating what she did was wrong and that this was a Christmas gift for my children... what do I get in return is a message saying it was sold and she then blocked me! UGH I wish you could leave negative reviews so other people could see what she is like and not but again from her but I don't see a way to do it!

Was contacted buy a seller name Brandon about an iPhone for sale for 360 I told him I wanted to meet in a public place he told me he works at la fitness in convington highway. I arrived he walked up to my car and had the iPhone box in hand and just as the add said it was sealed in the box i gave him the money he handed me the box and walks away I then open the box only to find out that it in fact was a bag of rocks so then I try to mess him and he blocks me and deletes his account and for some reason the name then turns into peet. I followed all the rules that you have set for letgo and I still got the short end of the stick. I only say this cause one if you register an account and sell things through your site there should be a better way for you to block these kind of scams and I would hate for this to happen to anyone else. I have saved all the messages that he had sent me but you have to have some kind of registration on him as far as an IP address or some thing in that nature and be able to track him down so that some kind of justice may be done. I was left holding a box of rock and out of 360 dollars

What does a great way to sell your unwanted items around the house. I made a good deal of money in a month. However women particularly be warned that there are men out there that will use this site as a potential Forum to get into your house to get into your life and will go as far as to send you nude photos of themselves. They will act like they're interested in buying something on their way to make a purchase then they act like they're lost so they have to call you on your phone because they say that they can access the chat room next thing you know you're receiving all kinds of perverted text messages inquiries about sexual encounters and yes I receive nude photos. I had four men I went through this with unflag all of them. For the most part like I was legitimate just be warned don't put your actual picture up there and be leery of men out there who may try to take advantage of you. Be Sharp and be on point. As with Craigslist or any other site like this always be mindful that there are predators that will use this as an opportunity to take advantage of you in any

Everyone on this app wants everything for dirt cheap. I just had someone contact me asking about very nice luggage I bought for $50 I was selling it for &20. They automatically messaged me saying "$10" I said the price is not negoictable and explained why yet they kept haggling me. I finally agreed to 15 and they asked for my address. I expressed I was only willing to meet somewhere public during the day. They kept changing their story and told me that they would be over to my house when they want it so for me to give them my address. That's when I felt it was unsafe and expressed that to them and declined their request, blocked, and reported. This person made 3 more accounts following my denial cursing me out and then proceeding to say they needed the luggage and for me to give it to them. I have blocked all 3. Scary. The people who contact me don't even bother to read the description or the price and automatically ask me to lower it. After asking me many questions that often don't make sense, they usually say they are uninterested. I'm seriously considering deleting this app after that. No good feelings from the app at all. Have some great items listed for a great deal as it is and it's the same process every time with the same haggling and rude people. No good.

I sell one out of every ten items I put on the app. For some reason, people love to ask if it's "still available". After that, I never hear from them again. I went back and forth with this one guy who wanted to buy one of my items. We arranged a place and time to meet. He contacted me through the app to tell me he couldn't make it, and to schedule a later date. When that day came, I went to the app to contact him, only to find that he blocked me.

Over the last few weeks I have posted at least 25 items with great response but with people asking me if I could do better on the price or how negotiable I was. If I was asking $100 they would offer me $5... I have sold a few items but usually at a greatly discounted reduced price. I am amazed at how many people do not respond back after saying they are interested. They offer you a much lesser price rarely get back to you when you agree to their price and this is all being done in a timely fashion. They ask you to hold on to the item that they don't have the money right now and will get back to you when they have the money, you wait a day or two and still they don't let you know or they block you. As I said I have sold a few items on here at a greatly reduced price but most of the ads go unanswered by those first interested in the item. It's difficult for me to rate this site I'm not sure if it's the people the buyers or the site itself but people don't have a problem sending you nothing more than a $5 number on an item you are asking $100 or more... it's amazing that people can be that heartless. Everybody wants a good price on a quality item and I understand that but what I just don't understand is the mentality of the people that are on there. They don't think twice when offering you a ridiculous number. I had at least 16 people interested in one of my items that I was selling for $140 selling on eBay and Amazon for as much as $250 recently and the best price I got was $70 from three different buyers who all failed within a 48 hour to respond when I eventually agreed. They don't respond with me even though it was them who made the offer and I accepted. There are a great number of scammers that show themselves by their use of cashier's checks, money orders even personal checks it's wise not to accept them and only do business by meeting and accepting cash only. As I repeatedly said I have sold things at highly reduced prices but never once did I get my full price and I thought my pricing was very very fair.
