I'm very unhappy. I can't post and a potential buyer sends me a message it won't send my reply. Which is causing me to lose a sale. Fix or I'm deleting ASAP!-

Any AH thats asking if avail... or wanting to buy something etc between 12am to 6am I delete automatically. It is bad enough that they want to check your stuff for nothing when you priced it so low. Every now and then I will get someone who is normal and nice. I also dont like to have to price it high knowing that theyre going to beat me down it just shows the quality of the mentality. Losers... cheap... And I have also found that they are not sincere when they wanna ask you for a lower price. They dont want the item them self because if they did they would pay it. So I find that when they start asking for a ridiculously low price I dont even bother with them and just delete them

I posted a couple things to make some cash and the people on here are either very weird, cheap, idiotic or have no idea what they are doing. I had a movie up for sale (since took it down and sold it to a second hand store) for $5 some girl asks if she could have it for free since it was free on crackle I told her no because I don't price match and that she should just get it on crackle if that's the case. She then proceeds to ask me if she can come to my house and watch it together. I then reported and blocked her for her creepiness. I also have up a graphing calculator that has a retail price of $140 so I'm charging $60 and its still in great working condition. I have people asking for less than half that even though the description says that the price is not negotiable and I tell them that The description also says if they do not have a profile pic of themselves I will not even think about selling to them because I need to know who I'm potentially selling to. They start to get all hostile about it threatening to have my account locked if I don't sell it to them for the price they want. I get too many "is it still available." or "I want to buy it" sometimes I get responses but they always want to meet in a back alley or in a parking garage. I always tell them no its either a public place or I won't sell it to them then no response after that. I was trying to sell Items in bulk (people could buy individually if they wanted to) this person wanted me to go where he lived which is over an hour drive from where I live on a maybe I told him no I need a straight answer and I will not drive all the way there I will meet him half way. He got all hostile saying he doesn't have a car and I should accommodate him. With all the crazy people I'm about ready to delete this app.

I got lots of interest and messages - but not the good kind. AT first I was real confused. One person responded to a post of jeans asking if I also had lingerie for sell. That three me off... like WTF... I said you do not sell that for sell on my page, why would you ask me that, this is not dating site. I should have not replied at all. I kept getting more of the same. Someone saying they are new to area. Folks that wanted to talk more about product but insisted on getting my phone 3 different times. I said I dont give my number to people I dont know. We all have smart phones and can get this done with the app. The one person who seemed ok, flaked at the last minute and then wanted to change locations -- I had a public one set up. I said no and that was the end of it. I got asked for IG, I was told and I was sexy and beautiful from my profile pic on there which was just my face. Every single person that replied seem shady, snake-like, slimy. I TOOK OFF MY PROFILE. DO NOT JOIN THIS PIECE OF CRAP APP.

Easy but not EFFECTIVE
January 13, 2017

I have no complaints about how the app was designed. It's easy to use, great concept. My complaint is the people who use it. Nobody reads the description. I get 8-12 inquiries per day & almost everyone is asking a question that is answered in the description (how much, what town are you in, etc.). I have had tons of people say I will come get it. When I respond, even if it's within 10 min, they say no thank you. I had a few that wanted me to deliver large appliances to them and I was giving the items away for FREE! I had a guy tell me he would only take the free washing machine if I (a single woman) carried it up the stairs & loaded it on the truck for him. I told him I would help him but I can't carry a washing machine up a set of stairs by myself. So he said "no thank you, don't text me again." He was the one who messaged me! It attracts people outside of social norms, people who have nothing better to do than mess with people & waste their time for fun or as an outlet of feeling they can control others. I stopped responding to people & deleted my listings. Answering inquiries for my free stuff that people have no intention of coming to get could be a full time job. Not sure I want any of these people stepping on to my property anyways if it's a magnet for psychopaths & sociopaths, scammers, narcissists & manipulators. A bunch of weirdos. I had 4 listings on there for 2 months. Had tons of inquiries but here sits this stuff I was GIVING AWAY FOR FREE. Not one single serious taker, and it was all FREE. Don't waste your time, unless you're bored & would like to make responding to idiots your hobby.

Letgo waste of time!
January 12, 2017

After you get an initial inquiry for an item, and you respond it ends there always! NO ONE ever follows up. If you don't immediately respond that's the end of it. Who the heck is checking Letgo at 3 am?

I've tried selling several things on LetGO. I discount 95% off what they could buy new, but they want it for free or they want to trade you for something worthless. No real buyers with actual money. Example: 5 year old refrigerator in excellent like new condition, can't tell it's not brand new - I put it on for $175 (it retails for $1025) and I get people ask me can I sell it for $50 and can I deliver, or 10 messages asking it it's available and then I never hear back. I take the ad down/mark it sold after selling it via Craigslist and weeks later still get inquiries from cheap people. OK app overall, just the audience is horrible.

This is for people who think their junk is worth something. Like $5 for a used toddler onesie... but I can get a brand new one for $8.

This is for people who want to hook up. After putting up my first item I got messages asking what's my name and how can I be gotten in touch with.

The price is never worth it. Like $1 for a set of uses books is great. But I'm not meeting a stranger for a $1.

Stick to Craigslist, people!

I am not happy that people can write a review about there experience dealing with you on buying something but you as the seller have no way of a rebuttal if the guy is just not happy with what he wanted.

I want to share some information so that maybe you can share this information to potential victims. My youngest son Jaime age (18) just sold a pair of Gold Jordan editions shoes to a kid that paid him with 3 fake hundred dollar bills. It all stared at the website: Let go, he said his name is Cornell Hopkins zip code *******. The kid phone number on the web and were they texted is: 1888--532- 6092. He provided the following address to meet at his church before 9pm: 2606 Idaho Ave. Dallas Texas he also provided this number: *******655.We drove my son to the church and the kid asked to see the shoes, my oldes son asked for the money, he took the money out and gave it to my youngest son, he graved the shoes and run to an alley. Shoes gone and my son was left with fake money... I'm glad that both my kids are fine and nothing bad happened. But we wanted to share the kids information so that this won't happen to someone else. The kid was a young black male on his late teens, slim around 5'5.

Thank you,

Esteli

Some good Some Bad
January 2, 2017

I sold a Apple Watch to a guy who drove to my house to pick it up and paid me. He inspected the Watch and was happy then left. A week n half later he letgo messaged me saying the Watch didn't work and he was a reseller and buyer and the Watch I sold him was not working then told me sorry wrong person. Ok fine. 3 weeks later he letgo messages me again saying the Watch is defective to which I said look I don't know what is going on with you but you've messaged me once already then said I was wrong person and now your messaging me again saying the Watch is broke that you've now had almost a month. In time you've had the Watch who knows what you could of done to it. I'm sorry but I'm done with you. He then tells me he is gonna have my letgo account closed etc etc I sold a brand new in box Watch that I gave him plenty of time to look over I don't know what his game is but duuuuuuhhhhh sorrrryyyyy

Waste of time
December 28, 2016

I tried to sell some nice toys and baby stuff on Letgo. I've had over 10 people message me in the past 2 days asking to buy my stuff or they say they're interested (seriously... who cares?). Nobody has shown up to buy anything. Do people really have that much free time to look other people's stuff on an app, send messages, then decide, "Meh. I wasn't gonna buy it anyways,"?! I won't use this anymore. The buyers are mostly bottom-feeders, and their apathy and gimme gimme attitude isn't worth my time.

Useless waste of time
December 27, 2016

What a waste of my time and energy. I've listed 12 things over a 6 month period. I sold three things, and I had to drive 10 miles for one, and the other two were almost given away. By the time that you've got your second item listed, the first item is so far down the list that nobody is ever going to see it. I had my quality items listed dirt cheap, and the only single response I received was an insult asking if I'd almost give it to him. I've listed great things as free, and still no response. This site sounds good on paper, but in reality, it's worthless.

While letgo cannot control the quality of merchandise available, its amazing at the overpriced yardsale items and lack of knowledge people have in selling on here. The buyers are flaky as well... constant messages stating "I am interested, is it still available" and when I respond... nothing. Which brings me to another point... the short built in generic responses discourages meaningful conversation on items. Do away with this. Serious buyers should communicate intelligently.

Letgo issues no reminder to pull sold ads... they issue no reminders for sellers to respond to listings(most which are ancient) and there is no way to bump or renew ads. You have to delete and repost. I can sell my items in two weeks on Craigslist when they set for 2 months on here.
