Lenses were more expensive than others for the same service. Took waaaaaaay to long to get back after being weeks late. Only redeeming quality was they finally did over night shipping for free after complaining. Not using this company again. Should've read the reviews prior.
This was my second pair of glasses that I had Lensabl make for me. The first took awhile, but I have a high correction. I was happy with them. This pair took a couple of months, and I had to send the glasses back to have them remade. The worst part is that I had to initiate all communications with Lensabl, to find out why it was taking so long. I was left completely in the dark. I wonder what would've happened had I not called!
My glasses were never made correctly. My original order was incorrect so I had my script checked and my optometrist checked also checked my glasses form Lensable. She said the lenses were not correctly made. It's like they used someone else's prescription - TWICE! In between, it took a week, at least, for every replay to my inquiries. Very slow service. Finally, they refused to refund my money. IT WAS A VERY EXPENSIVE, TOTAL WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY.
I bought 2 of the same sunglass frames and 2 new regular glasses frames and sent those off to Lensabl. I ordered TWO of the same sunglass lenses and TWO different eyeglasses transitional lenses specifying which pair of glasses gets what.
So they put transition lenses on my sunglasses and sunglass lenses on my eyeglasses. I sent back the sunglasses and eyeglasses. I then noticed the pair of sunglasses that had the right lenses was not right. The depth perception was WAY off making everything look shorter. They wanted me to take another picture with those frames on so they could adjust. Fair enough. I sent those back.
It took weeks to receive my other pair of sunglasses, which also needed the lenses fixed due to depth perception. At least they got the right lenses on. But the eyeglasses I sent back that they put the sunglass lenses on, came back with the same lenses (sunglass) I sent to them. So I sent those back.
It's been almost 5 months since I placed my initial order. My sunglasses are still being worked on. They recently sent my eyeglasses back with what I assume are the correct lenses, but I can't wear them because they broke the frame in the process. I sent them an email regarding this and they have not responded.
Horrible experience. I would have been better off going to a store. I'll never do an online lense replacement again, at least not through Lensabl.
Please do not use this company. I ordered Transition XtraActive Polarized lenses and they were not polarized. The lens fitting into the frame was horribly done. The lenses rattle and shake. Forget about calling in and trying to resolve an issue. You will be contacted eventually by email to resolve the issue. I did receive and email from the support manager, Rudy Widjaja, but his condescending tone questioning my ability to determine my lenses were not polarized was very insulting. I simply requested to send back the wrong, poorly made lenses for a refund. I do not trust Lensable to fix the problem. I feel they are either being dishonest or are incompetent. Either way I just don't want to do business with them. But Lensable will not issue a refund. I just don't like dealing with a company that makes resolving a simple issue such a miserable experience. I also wrote the president of the company, Andy Bilinsky... we'll see where that goes. So now I'm left with the wrong lenses that are pretty much falling out of the frame. Now I need to contact my credit card company and open a case against this abusive company. What a horrible company.
Excellent website ordering. Slight delay in processing. Also forgot to add vents to the lens. Overall quality of lense is outstanding.
Reasons Lensable is terrible: 1. Impossible to contact customer service. 2. It took forever and they lied about why. 3. The lenses are not great.
My first order was ok except that company lost my sunglasses case.
Second order was a bit a problem. The lenses I ordered for my Prada would not become dark while I am driving. Even in the midday in sunny Phoenix. I contacted Lensabl several times and tried to fix the problem - either to add a new layer to make lenses darker or upgrade to a different coating (me paying the difference). None of this worked. They told me to place another order and pay $300 again.
Disappointed I found another company - Sunglass Fix that made similar lenses for me for mere $50. Not only. When lenses that arrive did not fit my Prada they immediately made me a new set free of charge.
I will never use Lensable again.
I've been waiting 5 weeks for prescription sunglasses. NO communication (other than marketing). At 4 weeks I told them if they can't get them to me within a week to cancel my order. They said sure, but we'll only refund $60 for frames, not the $160 for lenses because "they're already in production". 5 weeks now, no communication, no glasses, no refund. AVOID this scam operation.
I found frames i loved at a good price, but due to complex prescription, they were unable to do the lenses. I found Lensabl, so i ordered just frames and placed that order as well. Understand that following eye surgery, i was unable to see without glasses and looking at 4 weeks to get any. After a month of waiting, i received an email stating that i would have to change lenses due to the Transitions coating. I replied that the trivalent lenses were necessary and was told they were not available with Transitions and the polycarbonates were. This did not seem correct. I contacted Transitions and after a few days, i was directed to their prescriber info page where i could research compatibility. Turns out, the problem was the new colors which were not compatible with ANY progressive lens of any type including polycarbonate. Armed with the info, i simply changed to the gray Transitions and finally after 2 months got the glasses. The info i used is available to all lens prescribers and manufacturers and had i done as requested, would have resulted in yet another delay. This is something that should have never happened. One should not be able to order incompatible options in the first place and the staff should have known what the actual problem was immediately. I am satisfied with the product, but the CSR's need to be better trained.
I sent in a pair of sunglasses for the company to put in prescription lenses on 3/19/2022. The order was delayed and I did not receive the glasses until 4/14/2022. The glasses came with a defect in one of the lenses. The company website claims the glasses go through a full inspection before they are sent out. This obviously did not happen. I contacted the company right away and asked for a refund. I was told they do not issue refunds and I would have to send the glasses back for a redo. I sent the glasses back on 5/3/2022. I did not hear from them and I had to contact them and was told they are still in the redo process. Being this has gone on for over two months I again asked for a refund since they originally sent the glasses out without inspection and I was denied a refund again. I do not want anything from this company. I want a refund and my sunglasses back to spend my hard-earned money on a more reliable and honest company.
This company claims a 1-2 week turnaround. I've ordered twice now, and the shorter return time was 5 1/2 weeks.
The second time I ordered lenses, the case was not returned and the frames came back completely warped - no longer stay on my face. Absolutely horrible customer service on top.

I have several pairs of glasses from lensabl, but it had been a couple of years since I'd ordered from them. I had no idea what kind of frustration I was in for when I placed my order. On 4/30/22, I placed my order, uploaded my prescription, and uploaded my segment height photo. As far as I could tell, everything was in order and ready to go. I could see both the prescription and the SH photo as attachments from the order page. I sent my frames and assumed I wouldn't have to do anything else. According to the tracking information, the frames were delivered to lensabl on May 9th. I waited several days, and saw no changes to the order status. I kept seeing the estimated time to shipping as "6 business days."
I contacted customer service to inquire on an ETA. I was told that the holdup was that I had not provided a segment height photo. Which I had indeed uploaded at the time I had placed the order. I saw no errors on the order page, could still see the photo as an attachment on the order page, and had not received any emails or any other communication indicating that the photo was missing or somehow unusable. I informed the customer service rep that I had already uploaded the photo, and he checked on it, and then told me that it was there and it was usable. Ok, so the holdup was...? I was then told that the lab would immediately start work on my glasses, and the shipping would be expedited to make up for their mistake. A week later, the order still has not been shipped, and the status is saying 3 more business days. Which would make it two weeks from arrival to shipping, when they claim 6 business days. I've contacted customer service again, and have yet to receive any helpful information. This will be the last time I order from lensabl. I did everything I was supposed to do, including paying a rather large amount of money, and all I've gotten in return is wasted time and frustration.
Edit: I got a response. They screwed up my lenses and have to start over. So it'll be another week.
My prescription changed but I loved my glasses. Lensabl was fast and easy to replace my lenses and provided status/ tracking updates and a fancy new glass case. I will use them again
I sent my stoggles in for prescription lenses. The pair I received were scratched, and the prescription was incorrect. When I asked for a refund after seeing my eye doctor for an updated prescription, they could only offer me discounted lenses if I sent the frame back in.
Recently ordered a pair of sunglasses at Lensabl. The glasses I ordered are from Ray-Ban, so and quality was very satisfying. Customer service answered all my questions regarding the delivery and availability of the piece I wanted to order. The delivery took 2,5 weeks. I will order again!

Answer: I purchased some really awesome vintage glasses with octagonal black plastic frames made in France, probably from the late 1960s or early 1970s. I was so excited to have them made into sunglasses. I took them to my local optical shop and was told, "I hope you didn't spend much on these because you wasted your money. No one will touch frames this old, because the plastic is so brittle it will just shatter." I was so disappointed. I tossed them in a drawer and forgot about them for a few months. Then I saw an ad for Lensabl online. I contacted them and asked if they could work with vintage frames, and the answer was "No problem!" I was nervous to send the frames in but figured I didn't have anything to lose. I just received the glasses back in the mail today (two weeks from when I mailed them in), and they are incredible! The frames were cleaned and straightened, and the new lenses are perfect. I love them so much. Thanks, Lensabl!
Answer: They clearly don't have the infrastructure set up to be in this business where each frame is a customer order. In cases like they they are not staffed with customer services that can be actually helpful which only result in wrongly made glasses. They broke my glasses and are not trying to it at all. I posted review on here before and then it just disappeared for some reason, I'm not sure if they are paying people to get rid of negative reviews.
Answer: Transitions take an upwards of 30 seconds to Transition. The weather conditions can impact the Transition time. Brighter and warmer outside conditions= transitions faster.
