Totally underwhelming

Poor customer service - both pairs came back wonky - one much more then the other. Long story short, Rudy said they must have put in the wrong lens and they would accept them back and try to repair them. When I asked him to also align the frames he said they don't know how to do that and send me a link to zinni optical so I could figure it out myself. I then forwarded him a message from Jason from lensabl saying they do align the frames. Rudy said that is not accurate but begrudgingly agreed to try this one time. Needless to say, they came back still all bent out and not aligned. Rudy, please pretend to care about customer service - it would have gone a long way. I do not recommend.

I sent my frames in and they were received the next day. This was weeks ago. I noticed with the online tracker that it had been sitting at the final stage saying 2 business days to shipping for about 4 days. Upon my second email to check in I was first told that it should only be another day or so, then when I emailed again I was told the lenses were rejected and sent back to the lab to be redone and at max it would be 2-3 business days. The morning after I received that email I checked the online tracker and it now says 5-7 business days. This will put me well over a month or so since sending these glasses in. Yes they are "cheaper" then having an optometrist swap lenses out but I can understand taking a couple of weeks but a month? The worst part about this is there is literally nobody to talk to. Just an email where honestly I feel like it could be anybody including a bot responding to me. I'm a little wary now that they have my 700 dollar frames and there's really nothing I can do but wait. I had hoped to use them for several other family members glasses but given the lack of consistent timelines and inconsistencies between email responses and online tracking I won't be going this route again. Really hoping I receive my glasses and they look ok considering how long they've had them for. I will update this review when/if I receive them.

A Horror Movie Called: 33 Days Later.

The website claims a 4 to 7 day average upon receiving frames to completion; it took 30+ days! After what seemed like 20 days of my glasses being stuck in production, I reached out via email (only form of contact available) and was told my lenses are breaking during install. Would they have bothered to reach out had I not done so first? After 20 some odd days... I doubt it. Upon receiving the glasses, I discovered two short hairline scratches in my left lense. The website states NO REFUNDS, nor would I feel secure in sending my frames back out for an unforseen amount of time in repair. My vision feels stretched in the peripheral, especially when turning my head back and forth. I took them to two box stores to verify the correct prescription was put in them, and it was; but the PD is off on the right eye lense. Also, USPS is what they ship with so consider spending an additional $15 on shipping insurance. Buyer beware: don't waste all your money trying to save a portion of it.

I ordered on 1/1/20 @ 2:37pm CST. My box arrived to ship my frames on 6th, I shipped on the 7th at 12:30-ish invthe afternoon. USPS showed my frames delivered to Lensabl front desk 1/9/20. I just received an email from Lensabl that my order arrived and is starting 1st process at their lab, that email came on 1/21/20 @ 5:23am !!!!!
P.S. I did not order anything special except the step up from basic poly.
Final Thought: I haven't even received my frames back yet and will update accordingly but as of now, I've saved $98 from otherwise going through lenscrafters (who I don't like) and would've atleast had my glasses back weeks ago....

Awesome Experience

Is Lensabl always so incredibly slow and uncommunicative, or is it just me? Order has been shown as "in inspection" and "estimated to ship in 2 days" for more than two weeks. Asked for a status update on 1/13, took two days to tell me "don't know", and a week later still no communication or response. Bleh. Not a good way to start a customer relationship.

Perfect glasses

I was impressed with the customer service and the presentation of the finished product. It made it seem like I was getting new glasses. My new lenses seem fine and I am overall pleased with the experience. The process was easy, however took longer than advertised. It was over the holidays so this was understandable.

It was the holidays... so everything was complicated... but I was always kept informed! All 3 pairs of frames are just perfect! I had some very high-end frames that I did not want to part with and Lensabi made them real again!

Awesome! Great service! Quick and easy ordering. I bought frames from Quay Australia and needed prescription lenses put it. I have been using Costco optical but they recently broke 2 of my frames and were unable to put the prescription lenses in. They blamed it on the frames being "cheap". They ended up giving me 2 free pairs of glasses from their selection which is not the cutest glasses. Anyway, I decided to try out Lensabl to see if they would be able to do them. I actually sent in the frames that Costco said were "broken". Lensabl was able to put the prescription lenses in and they came out perfect! It took 2 weeks total for the entire process (shipping frames to them and getting them back). I am so happy with my glasses! I just ordered 3 more to have prescription lenses put in!

It takes much longer than the advertised 3-5 business days. I paid for express shipping and after 3 weeks my glasses still in production. Emailed a few times and was assured that they would ship in one business day but of course, that did not happen.

Hey Andrew - our timeline for lens production requires the customer to provide all Rx detail in advance of the frames arriving at our lab. If any info is missing, which it was in your case, the order does get delayed until we receive the requested info. In addition, as all lenses are made from scratch, we do put all lenses through a rigorous quality inspection before we ship them back to you, as we only want to ship you perfect lenses :) . If there is any rejection in that inspection (ie. A small blemish on the lens) we do re-run the lenses to make sure they are perfect before shipping back. Thank you for your patience!

Want an open relationship with your glasses? Send them to Lensabl. It's been 8 weeks, and I'm still without them.

Lensabl wants to join the ranks of startups that promise a great experience while invigorating a stale industry. But, they fall short of even delivering a basic product and service that customers can trust.

Any company can build a website, find venture capital, and contract services to a lab - the real test is how they respond when things go wrong. Lensabl has failed in every way.

Lensabl estimates a 4-7 business day processing time for orders.

On November 7, my old frames were delivered to Lensabl.

After three weeks of no order updates, I reached out to Lensabl support. Days later, I was informed that my frames had been broken during production and to provide them with a choice of a replacement frame to be ordered.

On December 4, I provided two websites that carried a suitable replacement, both of which offer expedited shipping options.

On December 17, I contacted support for an update and received: "I see that we are still waiting to receive it so I am asking the buyer to contact the seller for an eta."

On December 20, the last update provided was: "The replacement frame that we ordered is scheduled to be delivered in ~2 buss days. Once received we will complete the lens order ASAP. Once finished it will be shipped to you via UPS. I do apologize that getting this frame took much longer than anticipated as we bought it online."

It's now January 2. Lensabl has not once reached out once. The lack of urgency & care for customers makes a (poor) lasting impression.

Lensabl's inability to deliver a service core to their existence should be a clear sign for customers to stay away. The company's focus seems to fall squarely on marketing, acquisition, and growing their numbers. This might be impressive to backers, but this customer isn't seeing the light.

How many more will they disappoint?

Lensabl did a great job refurbishing my very old, very worn vintage frames. They went out of your way to repair the frames (including adding nose pads). I had a hard time finding a company that would replace the lenses in this frame and they did it so well and at a fraction of the price I was quoted elsewhere. I look forward to using them again.

I'm just amazed

I had two expensive designer frames that I needed progressive lens. I went to all of the major big box eye glass providers and was given outrageous prices. I would have to pay EXTRA because it's not their frames.
I was on Groupon and saw a sale on progressive lens by Lensabl. I took my pictures so they can match my sight lines up. Two weeks later I got my frames back and was just amazed lol. They were perfectly done.
I will use this service again and I highly recommend that you try them out.

Long wait for glasses. 5/28-7/7/21. Lenses very heavy and thick. Asked for hi index lenses and said i didn't care if you charge me more. Last time lenses were thin and light( prescription did not change. Would rather speak by phone than email. Customer service could use that. The good thing i can see well you got the prescription right, thanks for that

Optimistic!

I love what I got! The price is good and the lens are correct look great. My biggest problem was it took almost a month and about 4 emails as the don't have a phone number listed on site to call. I still would buy from there again just now knowing they are slow. To clarify about the timeline it took almost a week for them to get my glasses started after receiving them. While in the lab that whole process was fast or so it said, then my order sat in a waiting to ship for a week before I started emailing. I think this could be a great company if they fix the time or just be up front from the start. Your order will take 4 weeks to ship. Just makes no sense of having a tracking process of what stage your order is in if it takes way too long.

Richard - so glad you love your new lenses, but very sorry for the delay it took with your order. Normal process and production time would be 4-7 business days once your frames arrive at our lab. If any Rx info is left out, it does delay the production process until we receive all the info from you. Great New Company!

I saw an add while doing some online shopping after Thanksgiving... the prices seemed to good to true so I placed everything in my cart but didn't checkout. A few hours later I received an email from Andy asking why I didn't place my order. To which I responded with why I was so apprehensive. He assured me they were on he up and up and that I would be pleased.

Mind you I have to pair of the same frame one black and one in tortuous that I love and have had for years. I let him know how important they are to me as they are no longer in production and they are simply the frames that suit me the best. So with some concern I risked it and sent them off. Luckily all of the holiday discounts made the cost of the next day shipping fairly reasonable. They arrived at their lab on Dec. 2nd and I got (both pair) back on the 17th of December. Not bad... the lenses are a great quality very clear and lightweight. I will definitely be back!
