Lane Bryant has garnered a mixed reputation among customers, with notable strengths in product variety and supportive staff, particularly in-store. Many shoppers appreciate the inclusive sizing and the quality of certain products, especially bras. However, a significant number of reviews highlight concerns regarding declining product quality, strict return policies, and inadequate customer service experiences, particularly online. Customers have reported issues with defective items and unhelpful responses from staff, which detracts from their overall satisfaction. This feedback suggests an urgent need for the company to address quality control and enhance customer service to regain trust.

I have bought bras from Lane Bryant three times in the past 8 months. They are supportive but the claps are weak. They all have broken on all the bras and I wash one of my bras and it burned in the dryer. This bras cost too much to be designed with cheap materials. I guess I have to find another store. There is no way I have spent over 200 for 8 bras and all the claps break. Only reason I gave two stars is because I do get good support
I bought some pants and they ripped the same day. Since I wore them, I can't get a refund. I normally only stick to panties, bras, and yoga pants, but I think I am done all together. What a waste? Since I have been ordering online and I get half off in the store when I pick up order, I decided to try some casual pants on 3 different occasions. I didn't have a problem with the other 2 and has worn them multiple times without ripping. All of a sudden a pair ripped on the first time. That put a bad taste in my mouth all together.
Bought some bras and they talked me into a credit card. Paid the bill in full on time. They returned my check to the bank on the 16th because I supposedly put a stop payment on it on the 22nd (WTF!) which I didn't do. Customer service sometimes denies getting a payment at all. Wells Fargo wouldn't help at all when they erroneously placed the stop payment. LB supposedly cleared it all up but are still sending me bills for late fees. Wells Fargo can't provide any documentation that I requested the stop payment.
Tried to buy online from them. Approved by my bank numerous times. Reversed over and over on their end. Problem now is my credit card is short $199.03 since they kept running it. I'm jumping through hoops trying to get my money back that they stole. Watch what these people do with your charge card. They may steal from you too. Plus their customer service is horrible and they lie. Never will I go to a lane bryant again!
Been a customer of LB for 20 years and have been trying to place an order for 2 weeks on line with same error message. I did the chat and they could not place it either. Called into customer service they left me on hold for 45 minutes while trying to place the order and came back and said call back later we cannot process it technical difficulties. I asked to speak with a supervisor and she told he was not available and to call them back later. I need to call them back? Mind you this is a $300.00 + order. I am furious and I will not be a Torrid forever customer. This is just absolutely insane. LB used to be the best it is very obvious to me why they are rated 2 stars. It is sad - loved this store. But Customer service can make or break my service with a company. Left a horrible taste in my mouth.
Today around 7:00 PM, I visited the Lane Bryant in the Arlington Highlands, TX shopping center. Since they were in the middle of a clearance sale, the store was quite busy. I selected half a dozen items and headed toward the dressing room area. An LB associate greeted me, introduced herself as April and led me to a dressing room.
I decided to buy a jumpsuit and three blouses. When I arrived at the checkout, there were two associates manning the register. Each one had a customer. When one of them was free, I approached her. She said she was going to restock and left me standing there without even an apology. The other associate continued with her existing customer. Just as I was getting irritated at being left high-and-dry by the associate, April came forward from the front of the store and offered to check me out. She was pleasant, interested in my choices and extremely professional. This particular store is not known to have pleasant staff. April was a clear exception. She restored my good mood with her graciousness. She deserves a promotion!
Ordered online sent email on 6/23 would get 25 lane bryant cash Now not honoring this said not giving to me gave me 1 real women point which you get 1 point per 100 spent and get 10 bucks when reach 3000 which is useless and a lie worst company ever don't buy from them with high prices and lies do better to shop on Amazon. To top it all off when called first customer service agent transfered me to survey in middle of sentence and second just mutted phone never answered and then transfered me to survey which is hanging up on me and then supervisor was useless and told me they were not even honoring there own email.
I placed an online order, and the money was held on my bank account, but the order was canceled. I phoned Lane Bryant this morning, and the customer service rep was very helpful and re-placed the order. However, and additional hold was placed on my account and, they once again canceled my order. When I phoned back to find out the problem, she blamed my bank information (which matched their billing and shipping information). When we reviewed that, she tried to tell me that she can't release the 2 holds on my account but was willing to have me place another order.
I will be filing a complaint with the Attorney General's Office and Better Business Bureau and placing a fraud alert on my bank. I will also never again order from Lane Bryant.
I was going on a trip to the US for 12 days and ordered a bunch of items around 2 weeks before arriving. A few of the items shipped and arrived before me, but the others showed as processing. I called and was told the items were picked by the warehouse and were waiting for a carrier and would update shortly. A few days later they hadn't updated and I called again - same message. On the 11th day of my trip I called to cancel and was told the issue would be escalated and someone would get back to me. I am now back home and keep calling/live chatting and every time I am told the order is still processing and hasn't been cancelled and they will escalate the issue and someone will get back to me. No one ever does.
I have purchased clothing from Lane Bryant for many years. I have a credit card and my limit was cut in half. I've never missed a payment or late payment, as I have AUTO PAY on my account. I received an email stating my payment was late. So, I looked at my account and there was over $78 in late fees and finance charges in 1 MONTH! I called and spoke with a representative. She was very scripted. I attempted to address these fees with her and was told auto pay won't start until my next billing cycle. I requested she look at my account and see when my AUTO PAY was started on my account. Again, with the scripted chatter... I requested the late fees be removed, as I have AUTO PAY and there should NEVER have been ANY late payments, late fees or OTL fees! Then... When I requested to pay my card to $0 balance. The representative tells me there's a $9 fee! REALLY! I had to request her to wave the fee, due to all I just had to deal with.
The bad thing is I have NEVER had any issues with any of the sales rep in any of the stores. I have NEVER had any issues with any of the products... other than they're discontinued. I totally understand about business... But this is NO WAY to treat continuing, dependable customers!
WATCH FOR ALL THE FEES AND PHONY CHARGES!
Stores are great, but billing's rules are ridiculous. Seems like you guys intentionally try to hold your customers money as long as possible. Since March 12, I have been trying to get a refund for returned items; I was told they could not put it back on the debit card it was drafted from (not credit card), but was told you can only give me a store credit. After calling home office, they told me they would send me a check. I got an email the other day saying they need an update to my address (my address is the same as 10 years ago). I ask again, since you cant' seem to get a check to me, can you just add it back electronically... but NO... that is still not possible! They need to send another check! How many times will you do this run around. After looking at your bad reviews online, this seems to be a common scam. I will NEVER do business with Lane Bryant again, and will continue to post this in as many places as possible... people need to be warned
I rated it a 3 because my birthday coupon states balance must equal $20.01. It was 27. Something before tax shipping free etc than I was told these same 3 items were totaling $37 something and I had to buy more items to use my bday coupon. I just had 3 orders 2 bigger orders. I prefer not getting the birthday coupon you have to spend 50 or more even though coupon states $20.01. A waste of my time...
Donna was great! My mom and I were there to try on bras and she helped us for over an hour to get just the right thing. Donna get 5 stars! However, they had signs all over the store BOGO for $10. I loaded up on some really cute tops and when I got to the register they only took $10 off each top. Needless to say I left with no tops.
Just bought panties and a number of them were received with holes in them.
Not happy. The quality of the material is very poor. I'll be looking elsewhere in the future.
I have been purchasing LIVI active leggings long pants, capris, shorts, yoga pants, and yoga capris. All of the long pants and Capri pants end up being see through after a couple of washings! They claim to be no show through, and they are Completely see through!
I like lane bryant and their clothes. I needed new underwear and ordered some online and applied for the credit card and was accepted. Everything came and the sizes were wrong. I called customer service and they were of no help. Told me to go to my local store. I did and returned all items. They only credited me part of the $. No one could explain why so I had to pay $8.61 to not get charged anymore by them. On the first purchase, that's a terrible way to do business. I think I'll just shred the card.
Was treated poorly at the West Acres store in Fargo! Will not shop there ever again! Embarrassed poor service
I ordered in- store for something to be delivered at home as they did not have the size in store. Received notification that it was delivered, but it was not. Called and was given a reference # and told that nothing could be done for five business days. Called back on fifth business day and was told I could pay for the item out of pocket.and they would process a refund for the first order. I asked why they could not just not reorder with the credit. Was given the runaround for 1/2 hiur. Issue still not resolved. I am out $60 for an item that never arrived and will not be sent to me. This "process" is ridiculous!
Contacted Lane Bryant Customers Service Represenatative answered phone she kept me on phone just waiting for supervisor about 30 minutes she didn't help after waiting all that time perfect payment history ask 4 skip
Payment loss Mother they charging me a late free what? Inconsiderate people without natural affection, without sympathy or empathy what? Insult but they want you patronize their stores you are just a number not looked at as human beings they worst of the worst in customer service to date. Thanks for washing my time and energy..
Aside from dowdy and matronly, they're just not as well made as they once were. Add to that, their career wear is non-existent now. No real blazers, no real career wear at all. Most things are tops and slacks for a very casual office or work from home. Good luck with finding a decent suit. No real slacks. Then there's the clothing silhouettes. Everything is made for one type of body shape: apple. As a result all of their clothes have wide torsos and small arms and legs. The panties even fit weird because they're made for women with narrow hips. I have to say that while Lane Bryant has decided to become very anti-hourglass or pear shape, apple shape and rectangle shape women deserve waaay better than what Lane Bryant is attempting to foist upon them.
I have been shopping Lane Bryant since the early 1990s and have been through multiple company mergers and changes as a result. I still feel that the time period when they were owned by TheLimited was one of their best.
This current time period where they are owned by the same company that owns Catherine's is an epic fail. Fire ALLL of the designers who are churning out these shapeless basic looks with low quality materials and still expecting people to pay top dollar. Most concerning is the complete contrast to their lingerie. Let me get this straight, according to the designers at LB, I'm supposed to be this straight laced school marm UNTIL I whip out the lacy 1970s in Amsterdam red light district lingerie? The contrast is too crazy. I'm all for sexy but the clothes don't look as though they're made for the same consumer as the lingerie at all. I am just not interested in my clothing coming with it's own entrenched Madonna/whore complex.
