On my first attempt to lift the FREEZE on my credit report by phone, I was unable to understand the individual who assisted me. When our call ended, I was not sure if the task I had requested to be done had been completed.

I called because I have a cat with a swollen leg and a light limp and that was a great concern to me. He is an outdoor cat and so we have limited contact and I cannot readily take him to a vet. Like many feral cat owners we sometimes have very limited options, but we also cannot get any vet assistance unless they actually see the animal. This was a better way of dealing with a potential medical problem without actually upsetting and triggering my cat. It is hard to do anything for them unless you know what the problem may be and can talk it over with a specialist.
The vet assistant and subsequent veterinarian information was very helpful and texting with the vet eased my concern for my pet. Ultimately, I still may need to take the cat to the vet, but because he is that feral, I am not sure exactly how much stress I can put on him.
Sadly, the advice was very sound, but ultimately it may require a veterinarian visit, which may or may not happen. My cats were captured once for spay and neutering, and that traumatized them for life. I'm not sure that they can go through another veterinarian experience.

It took about 3 months of paperwork, verifications, and bank back-and-forth, but I got a big chunk of my money back. Not all of it, but way more than I thought I’d ever see again. If you’ve been scammed, don’t give up — there are people who can help, but be careful who you trust.
