I used this site as I stumbled across in my research for a legal answer. There was a two dollar promotion to use the service, I decided to go for it. During the interaction with the lawyer,a window pops up and offers me to speak directly with the expertfor 86$. I declined the offer and continued with the chat. The expert was helpful and i was satisfied, it was the best 2$ spent. Then I verify my credit card statement andI realize an 86$ charge. I tried to speak with a customer er service representative and kept on getting the AI representative. Not helpful at all. Then I asked to speak, to a human customer service representative but kept on e ding up with the AI. I am very disappointed that I was baited into thinking that the promotional offer was just 2 dollars and I ended up paying an additional 86$ and I have no recourse.
Do NOT use this website under any circumstance. You are better off to go to a professional and ask a question than unwillingly sign up for a bocus membership that noone tells you about.
They will tell you its a one time fee - than nail you with a monthly membership for 10 times the price.
Complete rip off, and these people should all be ashamed of themselves for taking advantage of people who need help with every day issues, and sometimes emergencies.

These guys are sneaky, the service was really good at 2$ per question when I used it last time. This time they billed my credit card for 40 and signed me up for a automatic monthly fee without telling me. When I contacted them to ask for a refund minus the question cost of course, I was told it was it was in the terms of service I agreed to and no refund will be issued. The repair guys are great but the service is underhanded and will absolutely steal from you. Id stay away if possible. 2 stars only because of the repair guy. Would be 1.

I was looking for a tenant attorney lawyer for my mom. I made that clear. I agrees to pay my $5 that was "refundable at any time". Not only did they not provide the service I requested, I had an additional membership charge for $46. When I went to cancel and ask for a refund I was told they don't give membership refunds. Disputing it with my bank now, but don't bother with this company. A lot of attorneys will answer basic questions for free especially if it can lead to business.

At first I thought I was on a Maytag site. By the time I finished asking my question they informed me that I just had to pay a five dollar refundable sign up fee and then o would get an answer. I figured what's five dollars? I even tried to find the catch in their terms and realized that I was entering a membership. I figured they would charge me 5.00 a month and that I would cancel immediately after getting my answer. The guy really did try to help- he was nice. But he was just reading from manuals which I could do as well. Ultimately I had to call a repairman. When I read the email they sent me it became clear it was a five dollar start up fee plus a 30.00 membership. When I called to cancel and explained that I signed up because they said it was only five dollars they directed me to the terms …. I can't say I read every word but if it mentioned 30.00 I didn't see it. Either way they do a bait and switch.

JustAnswer is a joke! Signed up for what I thought was a trial membership. I canceled the membership after I had asked a question, which was not helpful at all! They just told me I had to take my dog to the vet. Which I could have answered that myself. I now have gotten a charge for the membership fee that I thought I had already done. Now they refuse to give me a refund, because it is not their policy. They would not let talk to a supervisor when I called. This site is a joke and they don't care. All they want to do is take your money!

I was looking for someone to help me with my singer sewing machine that had broke. The lady was very helpful. I was charged $5.00 for a membership fee. Then three days later, I was charged another $30.00 for a membership fee. I called and was told they wouldn't refund my money. They said I should have read the fine print. How come some people can get away with tricking people like that? Why not be honest from the get go and let us know we're going to be charged extra. I would have canceled right then. You do that to get people's money and that is wrong. You won't get my business again for being deceitful. People who are honest, don't act like you!

This business advertises they provide legal assistance, they do not. They only repeat what you've told them, ask to upload documents then never provide any assistance. I called customer service and they would prioritize my case yet the "lawyer" responding referred me BACK to customer service. Total scam & run around.

I read an answer on this site… and was charged (without giving my credit card information to them) for one year subscription, un-refundable, by the way.
All I can say is buyer beware especially if you don't know you're buying it and my bank keeps popping up with it's a fraud so choices yours

I was on Google and then from somewhere Just Answer popped up from somewhere and said for a dollar they would answer my question.Somehow I got signed up and charged 35$ on Oct 16 and 35$ on Oct 19th.I didn't go to Just Answer they came on my Google search.I got fed up on waiting for their expert and clicked off without an expert answer. And here I am 70$ later signed up to this.I didn't come to Just Answer they popped up on my Google Search.I want a refund and a CANCELATION from this site immediately.
I asked a question about Facebook. JustAnswer indicated I would be charged $1.00 - which is totally refundable, but then they charged me another $55. After I got an expert, that expert wanted to then charge me another $48.75 to connect to my Facebook remotely so they could try and fix the problem. Too many hidden charges and I'm not sure if it would have gone up from there. I got out and cancelled my membership. You would think the $55 charge would cover receiving the answer.

I agreed for the $5 question fee and found a $40 membership fee. After calling I found out that it is non refundable, so I paid 45 for a question that didn't get a good answer for since the tech isn't on site. Paying an actual tech to come out now. DON'T USE THIS SERVICE!

These people are SCAM ARTISTs! When you are in a panic about your pet, they make it look like you will be charged $5 for an answer and then take FOREVER to give you an answer. ( I was already at the vets office when I finally got an answer). Then they automatically sign you up for a $35 per month fee and won't refund this when you realize it because you "asked a question". This is not made clear on their web site. Look for yourself.

Answer: I got scammed last year for just over $50k on what I thought was a legit investment site. Everything looked real — I even withdrew a small amount at first — then one day my account was “under review” and the site vanished. I reported it to the FTC and pretty much gave up hope. Months later, someone who saw my complaint told me to email cyberfundsrecovery12@ gmail. Com. I was super skeptical (once bitten, twice shy), but they actually knew exactly how these scams work. It took about 3 months of paperwork, verifications, and bank back-and-forth, but I got a big chunk of my money back. Not all of it, but way more than I thought I’d ever see again. If you’ve been scammed, don’t give up — there are people who can help, but be careful who you trust.
