Stay far away

Please stay far away from this company. They send you crappy products that they don't stand by, and have an unclear/sneaky return policy. Customer service is a nightmare too. There are plenty of other online boutiques with normal return policies and great customer service, support them instead.

Ripped dress

Ordered a size 2 dress got it in the mail today, it has black spot on upper part and is ripped all the way across the left part! I was so disappointed and angry! How can someone not check this before they bagged it? They had to of seen it? Never ordering from
Here again! And the dress was $75 all together tax and all! What a scam! Now I'm stuck with this dress and do not even know if I can get ahold of anyone to return it. My daughter was going to have photographer take sweet pictures of her she has never had any pictures like that before. What a let down.

HORRIBLE Return/Refund Policy

I purchased these dresses for my daughters for a photo shoot and they did not fit. I needed them in a hurry so I re-ordered the dresses (planning on simply returning the dresses from the first order) in different sizes and paid for expedited shipping so that we would have them in time. Unfortunately, Joyfolie has a ridiculous policy that items purchased with a discount code are not eligible for refunds only exchanges or store credits. I'm not looking for anything more than what I paid (minus shipping). It doesn't seem right that customers are penalized for taking advantage of sales/coupons when something needs to be returned for a refund. This is super disappointing to me especially since I paid almost $50.00 for shipping between the 2 orders. In addition, one of the dresses (original price $148 on the website) was defective with incomplete stitching on the bottom tier. I was expecting better quality and customer service. I cannot recommend purchasing from Joyfolie.

I ordered a dress from them and when it finally arrived after 3 weeks it was too big. So the logical thing to do is exchange it, but when I tried it said I'm over my 30 day return policy wth! I sent them an email and finally heard back with the return label, but I had to pay shipping, came to $14 to ship it back again wth! Then I got an email to complete my transaction for the exchange and guess what…. I have to pay for shipping AGAIN, oh and the best part, I have to pay taxes on the $7.99 shipping, so it's over $8 to ship. Nope never again will I buy from joyfolie! This is not a way to build loyal customers.

I LOVE the styles of this brand. Everything is modest, feminine, and beautifully simple. I have ordered 3 items over the last 6 months for my 11 year old daughter; two dresses and a top/bottom set. Here are my complaints.
~Sizing is far off the mark. My daughter should fit into their size 14 according to the measurements provided, but everything has been 2-3 inches too long.
~Sewing is sub par: Threads threads threads everywhere. Loose threads come off the hems, off the unfinished edges. She does not wear these items for heavy play. These are essentially church clothes. I wash them alone, on delicate, in a mesh bag. The fraying around ALL of the hems is atrocious. Her one top has an unfinished edge around the hood and it is coming apart like a sweater thread being pulled. Holes form easily in the material.
~My #1 complaint: the return policy of this company is absurd. Unless you purchase something at full price, there is no return. You must take store credit... after paying to ship the item back... after having paid to have it shipped to you. Even if you buy full price, to exchange you PAY to have it shipped back and have the new item shipped to you. These are not cheap items. With the shoddy craftsmanship and poor exchange/return policy I won't be purchasing anymore items from Joyfolie.

Our sizing chart is a guide so you can determine if sizing up or down on a particular style is necessary. Maxi dress sizing can definitely be tricky if the chest, waist and hips fit one size and the height fits another. Our website does offer Live Chat during business hours where we provide assistance so you can get the desired fit. We are always happy to review any product concerns for our customers. To touch on material, Joyfolie has many different styles some of which have raw edges for design effect, but we also have many other style options for those who may prefer something different. Seriously. Read it VERY carefully. It's ***VERY*** limited. If you think you might return something, do NOT use ANY discount codes or buy ANYTHING on sale. The whole thing is actually rather scammy and incredibly disappointing. It also looks as if their team consists of mostly interns and the founder admits to having no business acumen (per About Us page). Listen, if a company can't afford to run a proper business without taking advantage of staff and customers, it shouldn't be in business.

Absurd exchange policy

I purchased a dress in October from this website for a Christmas gift for my daughter. When she opened and tried it on it was too small. I sent an email to Joyfolie that i need to exchange for the next size and they tell me that i can not exchange it because it was purchased over 45 days ago. So make sure if you are purchasing any type of gift don't purchase it early or you will be penalized if it is the wrong size. Horrible, horrible policy especially at Christmas time. I won't buy another thing from joyfolie.

Perfect Dress!

My daughter absolutely loved her dress and it photographed beautifully in some recent family portraits we had made. This picture my husband took with his phone! I placed two different orders with Joyfolie and both were disappointing. Their return / exchange policy is awful, which might be ok if their sizing had any basis in reality. It does not. First, I ordered two sweaters for myself. I ordered my usual size small for the Ruby Top in Mauve. The sleeves were outrageously huge (and do not look that way on the petite model). The company asked me to submit a review and when I did, customer services said they wouldn't publish it because they wanted to "make it right" - they suggested I go to an XS. I don't need an XS, I needed the sleeves to be about 4 sizes smaller. They only offered me an exchange and they still refuse to publish my review. If you go on the website, you'll see there isn't a single review for that sweater. Likely because they likely tucked or hemmed the sleeves back to make it look different. Second, I ordered 2 dresses for my little ones. I sized down because they are petite for their age. After receiving the dresses, I contacted customer service because the dresses were outrageously huge. My kids would have needed to size down 2 and 3 sizes (from girl sizes to toddler to make them fit). I indicated that the dresses wouldn't fit girls 3-4 years older. The solution given was for me to pay expedited shipping for smaller sizes, then pay to ship the larger dresses back on my own dime, and to send them photos with a tape measure to "prove" the dresses are cut too large. I asked for the matter to be escalated to management. I have heard nothing back as of yet. Their stuff looks cute, but be careful. I will not be purchasing from this company ever again.

Hello Jennifer, Joyfolie uses a branded sizing chart using ASTM standards. This may not be what all consumers are used to when shopping. In our attempts to resolve one sizing experience the additional girl's dresses were brought to our attention. We use our review process to ensure our customers are satisfied with their items and if they are not, this gives us a chance to further review the exact issue our customers are having. We definitely want to take a moment to determine if this is a one-off defect or size discrepancy and take care of the customer in a unique way. It seems we did not get the opportunity to take care of these situations quickly enough and we absolutely apologize that you have felt that way. Hit or miss- Overall disappointed

I loved my first sample box I got from them- everything was esquiset and well made, beautiful fabric. So a few months later decided to try another box hoping for more dresses and received 1 shirt that was waaay to big (3 sizes to big)a skimpy shirt that has to have something worn under it (cute) but impractical - who knows maybe it was a cover up for a bathing suit ( too hard to tell). A dress made of the cheapest of the cheap material, pajamas which was literally the only thing in their that looked decent but where in the world is my daughter going to wear that too but home. And then the most disappointing which is what made me write this review is the last minute dress they literally crumbled up into a ball and threw into the box (all other items were folded neatly and wrapped in plastic)- ok no big deal right, so it wasn't packaged and just waded up, I can live with that and make it work, no biggie. It states that clothes can be previously worn blah blah blah or have small imperfections. Small? Can we say understatement of the year. At first I noticed the elastic in the back was exposed- ok, I can probably patch it up but as I followed the exposure up to the sleeve I saw that This dress was COMPLETELY ripped! The only thing holding it together was the lining of the zipper. The material was in shreds and definitely not fixable. What a waste! Completely misleading that stuff can be slightly used or have imperfections, this dress looked like it literally was taken out of the trash and thrown into the box last minute- So incredibly disappointed. Not to mention the box before one of the other dresses received the zipper would not budge due to the placement of where it was on the seam. I definitely will not be purchasing another sample box! It might as well have said "Hey look what you could have had"

Although you may receive photoshoot pieces, that may have been worn, you should not receive items in disrepair. We are so disappointed that you received a dress in this condition. Terrible customer service

If I would have read these reviews before, I would have never ordered from this site. They do not reply to emails and their return policy is TRASH. The clothing is cheap, poorly made, and heavily overpriced. The lack of customer service does not help.

I have recently discovered Joyfolie site as I was looking for a dress for my upcoming trip. I ordered a dress, but when it has arrived and ended up being too tight in the arms area, so I wanted to return it for a refund. When I contacted customer service they told me that I can only get store credit, because I have use the coupon for my order and it considered final sale. I was not happy about it, but did as I was asked. Once I got back from my trip and received my store credit minus return shipping I placed a new order with some other items since I didn't need the dresses any longer and it took me time to find something instead of the dress I thought I could use, only to find out the these items are huge in size and horrible quality. I contacted customer service again in hope that I can return these items for a refund, because there is absolutely nothing I like on there website at the moment to exchange my items too. And they responded with the same general message that it is there only return policy and they only can do store credit for me. Horrible. So basically there is no customer service whatsoever, just general message about info I already know. No resolving of a problem in reality. Now I am stuck with another return and store credit minus return shipping fee. I wish I would have read reviews before my purchase as I would have never done this mistake.

The hook: They intentionally inflate original prices and offer site wide sales to negate their obligation to issue refunds for items purchased. It is all about profit and moving inventory instead of customer satisfaction. Repeat or satisfied customers is not their business objective, only volume derived from unknowing first time purchasers. No risk on their part, all on the consumer. Each time I asked about this deceptive marketing strategy, they blatantly avoided a response by referring to their return policy they pointed out is located on their website 24/7 for all to see if looked for. (I see they responded similarly in reviews here when others called them out on this. They truly think their flowery BS responses come off as genuine and sincere! HA!) As you can see by the many reviews, most customers simply give up and accept the financial loss, as it is not worth the additional hassle and further expense. They proudly operate with no integrity, as there is always another first time "buyers fool" (such as myself) who fails to search for honest reviews prior to purchase, l truly hope this review saves many their hard earned dollars and extreme disappointment. There are too many ethical companies to purchase from that earn and deserve the business.

In my case, I had a large order which included 4 items all in the same size. Not ONE fit me, either they were too small or too large. The sizing can not be trusted. When I emailed the company, they replied …As a "courtesy" they reviewed my order. What? Isn't that your job? As another "courtesy" they sent me a return label, (which they pointed out they never do-gave a courtesy star for that)) so I may return the items (for them to sell and profit from again. Pretty good gig, wouldn't you say?) I am stuck with a large store credit I will probably never use because of the vicious cycle of additional shipping expense and zero confidence anything will fit. They believe offering a sales consultant to help me with "my sizing" to find something I could settle with to use up my credit is generous! I find it insulting! If they really were interested in operating as an ethical company, they would have amended and adopted business practices to reflect this, given the incredible number of negative experiences reported regarding their return and refund policies.

Terrible quality

This was my first order from Joyfolie, and I will never order from them again. I ordered multiple earrings on sale (meaning non-returnable), and almost all of them arrived broken and completely useless. Money down the drain.

Disappointing Experience
July 9, 2021

Ordered a dress for my daughter for family vacation pictures at the beach. The order arrived quickly and the dress was lovely. It was snug in the waist so was not going to work. I checked out the return policy and was shocked at all of the hoops I would have to jump through plus the fact that because I used a discount code I would only be able to get a size exchange or store credit. Well the size of the dress was already the largest size for girls. I reached out through the website's chat and was reminded of their policies. I explained how that wasn't helpful since my daughter wouldn't be able to fit into other products and was told to try a woman's size! That is not a helpful solution. They stuck to their not up with the times refund policy and now I am stuck with this pricey purchase. Not worth jumping through hoops and hassles to get store credit that I can't use. I am shocked that an online retailer does not have a better policy for returns. It does not appear that they value customer satisfaction as I am clearly dissatisfied.
