I hate it, teachers act like its so fun, they're not the ones doing it, why should u believe them? And the point system is just unfair. U get 2 points for a right one, lose 10 points for a wrong one.

IXL is just such a badly made website. It's questions are way to specific and if you miss a question it takes your Smart Score down 20 points. I have never learned anything from IXL and it is just not helpful at all. IXL often has incorrect questions and its ELA questions are just barf worthy. I hate everything about IXL and even the teachers don't like it. I would rather be tortured than do IXL.

I spend hours and hours on this damn point system to get to 100, which by the way, is unfair in all standards, and when I make a mistake, it drops 20 POINTS! Like, WHAT THE HELL, IXL? I've had to answer like 50 questions because it gives me completely unrelated things like if an ant eats 400 grams how big is the sun WHAT IS THIS? And the worst part is, it takes up WAY too much time! Like, I got S*** to do other than have a MENTAL BREAKDOWN OVER A GODDAMN MATH QUESTION IN LIFE! And I'm not even bad at math! I'm in NINTH GRADE LEVEL MATH
The questions also scale from how much is 2t+2t and the next questions is like 5(7y+23+8986)=? 1 star. Do NOT recommend unless you want to have as much rage and hatred as Satan himself.

Literally no no one needs to go through this sh*tty program. I hate where it pulls you back when you only get fricken one wrong. No real human even benefits from the stupid mechanics of this site. The whole site is just a rip off so teachers can be lazy. Its is only good at turning youthful students into old Karens! Don't ever use!

Please dont do ixl, i failed many of my classes because of it and now im homeless, I am typing on a library computer and i wish you to not do what i did an dont do ixl.

So, I'm having a nice elementary school and then IXL comes in. This site IS SOOO BORING. I'd rather do a Blooket ALL DAY. At the end of the year the teachers give us cards and say, "Write down what you didn't like this year." We've been doing IXL since 1st grade and every year I've said IXL. And I'm in 5th grade so that wasn't a short time either. ONE STAR EASILY IF THERE WAS NO STARS THAT WOULD BE WHAT I USED.

IXL is the worst platform for kids to learn from because it prioritizes repetitive drills over real understanding. The grading system is frustrating, punishing mistakes too harshly, and discouraging students instead of helping them improve. Instead of fostering a love for learning, it creates stress and anxiety. Better alternatives exist that actually support kids in developing skills with positive reinforcement and meaningful practice.

IXL's point system is really unfair. It feels like you're penalized way more for getting an answer wrong than you're rewarded for getting it right. It's discouraging when you're trying to learn and improve.

It makes people cry hard which I hate to cry some teachers like to lie and tell you that IXL is good but sue them nope is bad as heck it makes teens break laws and break their laptop so I highly suggest making your kid quit IXL and do a peaceful protest by not doing their IXL work but it probably make your teacher call both of your parents. So please stop doing this silly app and middle schoolers don't forget to protest unfair homework stress. Go to your parents NOW

IXL is trash! Teachers give out too many, at least five, and expect you to do it in one day! It's also soooo rigged. When I reached 90%, I got two questions wrong and ended up at 60%? Crazy, right? And there's more... I reached 99% on an IXL after hours of struggling, and when I got ONE question wrong, do you know what happened? I WAS BACK TO 86%! I freaking hate this app. It should be banned in all countries.

I'm going to be blunt. IXL is not enjoyable in the least. Its SmartScore is not understandable and unfair, and the explanations are wordy and not helpful, if you even take time to read them they should be more like bullet points. There are even multiple petitions to ban it and I would suggest signing all of them as someone who is probably ADHD. It should be based on quality, not quantity instead of vise versa.

My son is being taught Math, Science, Reading, Social Studies, Language Arts (nearly every subject normally taught by a real live teacher in a classroom setting) by this mind-numbing, repetitive, anxiety-producing, stressful, non-rewarding, aggravating program. The point system is unfair and unjust by rewarding less for correct answers and penalizing you more incorrect answers. The questions are confusing and sometimes both subjective and objective; not based in actual facts. Teachers are not teaching the material but instead assigning multiple lessons on IXL for homework that take numerous hours at night to complete. This is the most dangerous style of teaching ever in the history of education. It promotes hatred for learning and sheer distress and anger during the process. We did not purchase this. My child has been forced to use this in every class at school. It has taken the place of an actual teacher.

I am a top student in my class. I take geometry in 8th grade because its an advanced class. The point system is unfair and makes me want to jump off a bridge for wasting my time. I had to do 10 ixls in half a week and the awful point system makes it so it takes 30 minutes for each ixl. That is 5 hours of mind numbing negative reinforcement and not even engaging work. To do in 3 days.
