It angers my child and she gets very sad. Me and my wife are trying to calm her down and it is very hard to. We feel IXL should never be used in schools. We have tried to help our daughter by using a calculator but it still tells us we are wrong. Horrible app, teachers if you are reading this don't even consider this for your schools

Ixl places stress on students. Also when you get to 90% the challenge zone you go up by one for each one you get right. Then if your at 99% and get on wrong your basically back at like an 88% and have to answer 10 questions to get back to 99%. IXL is frustrating annoying and very rage educing. This website is probably the most stressful website ever. In math when you do a problem you only get a point but if you get it wrong, it deducts 7 points. Sometimes they say that there are negative numbers to the equation but its so hard to have a visual on that symbol..

IXL Bad because when you do something wrong g it bumps you back 10 points and is a breach of my schools code of conduct.

IXL can be frustrating when you get a wrong answer, however it is an excellent source for practice. It shows in detail how to solve each math problem you got wrong. It's a much better resource than Study Island (although anything is better than Study Island, LOL). Just be patient to read the reason you got the answer wrong, without thinking about the 10 points you lost.

Let's just say, I could either do IXL or Study Island. I choose IXL. This website does get annoying, but it's better than most other places. So, just try it out and if you don't like it, too bad. But yes it is unfair bc if I'm at 79 and I get 1 wrong, it takes me back to 60, then I get a question right, and it brings me up to 63. It's unfair but better than Study Island.

I have to do this in school and I had to do it and the answer was marked as wrong i was so upset at the website.

It's the scoring system in the 90s you go up 1 and go down like 5, not that god it is cruel to kids like meee

I can see this site's potential, but it doesn't really live up to it. Some kids may enjoy it, but I sure didn't. It's mechanic which discourages you instead of encouraging you to learn is unnecessary. It's slogan is "practice that feels like play". That only applies to the small group of students who enjoy it. Overall, It's better than sites like Aleks.

I'd recommend this site better than study island, that's all I really have to say.

Character limit, begone!

I hate this website so much. When you get something right you get one point. When you get one wrong you loose like 10 points... it just causes to much stress it makes me flip..

The kids didn't seem engaged with the website we've tried a bunch of other ones. Our favorite so far would be Beestar - interactive and keeps the kids interested.

11/10 Compared to aleks this website is the pinnicle of human achievement. Compared to that hellish monstrosity this website is like god's gift to humankind. Never would I have though I would say this but, I actually MISS ixl. R. I. P me

So, my personal experience with IXL isn't to grand, but that doesn't mean it is a bad website. When you get a question incorrect it explains how to do it the right way. Thought challenge mode might need to be more challenging it is still good.

Would I recommend IXL? Yes, I do, it is excellent for learning Math easy.
