Now I use IXL on a everyday basis because I have to for school. But why does IXL work like this. For those who don't know what IXL is like well you are required to answer the question given to you and if you get it right then you go up by so and so points. But if you go down on the other hand, you will go down by so many points. Why can't we skip a question we don't like or why when we get it wrong why can't it just explain what we did wrong. The only good thing about IXL is finishing the topic. Just saying if you genuinely like this website kudos to you because its stressful. Also, the explanation page is so dumb. It shows the way they want you to solve the problem not the way you are taught. Just goodluck if you do this and God bless.

So let me just say IXL is the greatest website ever FOR TORTURING STUDENTS! I SAW ONE KID IN MY CLASS BANG HER HEAD ON A BOOK WHILE SOBBING BECAUSE OF IXL AND I KEPT GETTING THEM WRONG AND THEY WOULD SET ME BACK 10 POINTS! ITS LIKE STUDY ISLAND BUT WORSE! ALSO WHY DO WE HAVE TO GIVE IT ONE STAR IT SHOULD HAVE ZERO STARS

This progam sux. It F8cking sux. The sign in system sux, the explaining sux. The skills are too much and its expensive. Do Khan Academy. Its free and easy to do. The videos teach us more and it wont make us cry. I had to skip my tennis class for this sh7tty program. Takes me 1 hour and 30 minutes to do 1 skill. My mom forces me to do this and it pressures me SO MUCH. Please delete and ban this F*cking sh*itty program. We're all to cool for it

I tried grade one in this ixl learning website and guess what I found. When it asked me how many cars are in the picture... It clearly said 8 but the right answer said 9. Like wtf on earth is this. Some tim hortons learning app? Why pay money for this... Maybe your mom would.
Go use prodigy. Its much more funner expect the stupid membership thing but its not that stressfull.

Do knowledgehook instead. I just don't like it. It's basically calling you dumb. And you will maybe say... Hey how is ixl calling you dumb! Well here is proof. Do you know the smartscore? Lets just say you have 89 smartscore and if you get 1 question wrong you lose smartscore. It's basically saying that if your smartscore is decreasing your smartness is decreasing. And if your smartscore decreases to zero... Than ixl is calling you dumb. I hope they remove the smartscore...

As for my opinion, I do not think of IXL as one of the bests sites I have visited. As for one, it is very frustrating. For example, I will be at 99, and then I get the last one wrong, and then I am all the way down to the beginning of challenge zone. This can be very frustrating thinking that all the hard work I put in it to get to that score, I get just ONE wrong and I need to do like ten more questions. Also, if you compare IXL to some others sites, such as Khan Academy, IXL actually costs money, but Khan Academy does not.
Despite the fact that IXL is quite expensive and is very frustrating, IXL does help me learn, correctly put as grade level, however I do not like that learning.

I am a student in IXL i am 10 years old, i can say that Ixl is helpful SOMETIMES, when i do a quiz if i miss by a number or if i am dealing with a how to tell time lesson if i miss by a minute or if i click a letter like r h j k f or try to put pm or am it atomatically says your wrong it will take off more pionts then it gives and when you get in the challenge zone i am not kidding when i tell you GET EVRY WORD PROBLEM CORRECT, or you won't survive a lesson in IXL, but it can help you expand your thinking and help you think about different ways to think about that math problem, overall i would give them a 3 in a half rating, thank you bye-bye! Think if you want this for your children, don't mean to scare you, but its true.

Repetitive, barely teaches you, horrible to use and learn with cause you get something wrong and have to redo like everything

IXL is extreme garbage. You pay for a student (like me) to be only practiced. When you get a question wrong, it gives little explanation. And when you get over a 90 on the smart score, getting only one question wrong will drop your score by like 15, and on other modes getting two wrong will make you do the ENTRIE STAGE, and its so tedious it makes me want to punch my chromebook. The most unfair part is that people get graded off the garbage smart score, meaning you can get a B because of the garbage point system. So in conclusion: User friendly? Yes. Is the point system good? No. Is it worth my money? No. Paying to be practiced is super dumb. Just use quizziz or kahoot. Both are free, and neither have such a garbage point system.

Ixl is the worst website for learning the rigged answer system and you lose way too much points and on science you have to answer correctly in a row and i absolutely despise this website/app

This site has a couple of problems... Adding a space to answers will usually net you a response that it was wrong despite the numbers in your answer being correct and that can really put you in a bad mood.

The other thing is that It does not have an outright guide on how to do each lesson before you start answering questions so It doesn't do very much in the respects of actually teaching you without a school teacher over your shoulder / virtual meet...

That's all my beef about it really.

I absolutely do not recommend it. One, lets say you get a question right. WELL IT STRAIGHT UP TELLS YOU THAT YOU ARE WRONG, GIVES YOU THE ANSWER AND SAYS "THIS IS THE ANSWER" AND IT HAS THE SAME ANSWER THE YOU PUT IN THE FIRST PLACE! And then, when you get a question right, it brings you up one point, and then when you get one wrong, IT BRINGS YOU DOWN 10 POINTS. Its almost like they are trying to annoy me. I was at a 90 and i got one question wrong, and it brought me down 40 friggin' points and it turns out the whole time I actually got it right. And the thing is, I can't just quit it, because my teachers take grades on ixl. Thanks a lot.

Oh god, where can I even begin with this website. If you get the first question right it gives you 10 points, then 9, and it keeps going until you get 2 points for each question, so it is impossible to get to 100 points in under a hour. It also removes 10 points for very incorrect answer. So in a way, it actually punishes you for getting right answers. And in return the only thing you get is a picture of a dragonfly and a sense of accomplishment. It is also very expensive, like, 200 bucks a year expensive. If you are a teacher reading this, HAVE YOUR KIDS DO KHAN ACADAMY INSTEAD. Khan academy is free and actually good.

Its not worth 79 Bucks. The testimonals are fake. They give u five points each question and take away ten points. And if u would like students not to hate u? DONT GET IT

In my opinion I think that IXL is a great website for reviewing and quizzing, preparing for tests. Except, this website is not good for learning new things, more for reviewing and quizzing. This website is not terrible, but I think this website does need some new improvements. Sometimes this website can get a little frustrating. This is a good website for reviewing and you should use another website for learning. But this website does help with my math skills. So this website can be pretty useful.
