MY SCHOOL MAKES ME USE IXL AND ME AND THE WHOLE CLASS CRASH OUT LIKE BRO WHAT IS THIS SYSTEM 11 THING WRONG AT 99 RIGHT TO 75 THE WORST
From a perspective of a student.
Out of all of the online learning apps I've used in my entire life,
IXL is the most stressful, dreadful, ineffective, and exhausting material I've ever used.
Using this app is like watching a chef dump a pile of random ingredients they've found in the pantry, formed in a hot detestable mass that is dumped on your plate, and as you look up in confusion and horror, the chef stares back at you, waiting for you to continue down the line.
It will serve you questions as an amalgam of numbers and whatever god-absent topic you so happen to be on,
It doesn't help you study,
It doesn't encourage learning.
It doesn't make anything easier.
It induces stress and makes students want to use AI resources just to get done with it.
I HATE this app, i mean that.
Genuine hate that makes me want to break my school issued Chromebook just to get the glimpse of an OPPURTUNITY at besmirching the reputation of this app by being another data point on how many students have broken their computers because of this app.
This has been the main point of distress in my entire education career,
Not social pressure,
Not insults,
Not any other work.
THIS, IXL is the manifestation of everything i hate about the American education system.
I hate this app, it sucks, and isn't anything a human being should have to endure, Goodbye.
I am a student, and I'm forced to use this app. Worst app ever! I dread doing ixl. It is so boring, it will make you cry. This is the absolute worst thing ive ever done. On top of that, ixl doesnt even help you study! It just provides you with endless problems that will make you want to rip your eyes out. I can see why there is so many bad reviews because this app sucks! Ixl, if you read this CHANGE YOUR APP TO SOMETHING BETTER. IT IS ABSOLUTE TRASH!
I swear, whoever created this likes to torture kids. I showed this app to my therapist, now he's in therapy. If you want your organs to melt out of boredom, then this app is for you. I think that this is qualified as child abuse, this app makes Iready look like a Vincent Van Gogh painting. At this rate, I think I'm going to file a police report on this trash. PURE GARBAGE STRAIGHT FROM THE BIN. The creator needs to get some actual $#*!ING HELP. IF THE CREATOR IS WATCHING THIS, JUST KNOW THAT YOUR BIRTH WAS WORSE THAN THE TITANIC DISASTOR. I HATE this app with all my heart, NOW PLEASE save yourself and stay away from IXL at all costs.
This is really a terrible and stressful app i do NOT understand why teachers use it. All it does is make kids frustrated and stressed them out. Coming from a 8TH GRADER BY THE WAY! Literally, it's so frustrating when a teacher assigns an IXL. Like I get one question wrong and I go from 90 "Smartscore" TO 78! I am a kid with autism, and that only makes it worse. It's so stressful trying to get to the set goal. For me, it doesn't help. It's just another assignment that I have to complete. I don't think about what the question is about, I just search it up to get it done. It doesn't help kids comprehend ANYTHING, it's just constant stress.
So why I hate IXL is that when I was at a score of 95 I got the question right and it said sorry incorrect and it dropped me down at a score of 78 and then I cried and broke my computer and then I almost got grounded for beating up my computer but that's why I hate IXL and why they should sue it! :(
Nobody likes this app. Just delete it already. The way it looks is boring, the questions are just piles of text dumped on the student. Ixl is just a whole L. The smartscore is such a vibe killer, you'll be grinding for an hour and then one wrong answer sends you all the way back to the shadow realm. I feel like i'm doing the same five questions over and over, just for some dumbahh digital sticker that i couldn't care less about. It's mad boring and my last brain cell is begging for a break. I'm tryna get rid of this app asap. Cancel it.
The whole dam point atrocius i suffered from this sht and the smart score bich you got me fcked up this sht overall bad and atrocious bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad is just what it is
One time when I was in math class we were just doing math work and random sht but then IXL walked into the room. It went to each individual student one by one and just fcking picked them up and started slamming a massive metal pole up each students ashole until it came out of their mouth and they started bleeding to death. Then IXL took all of our corpses and they blended it into a pile of student pulp mush and ate it for fun. I literally fcking hate IXL I hope a bunch of braindead apes throw their nasty ash diarrhea and gangrpe whoever made this fckass program its genuinely that trash. IXL hollow butplug 20inch diameter cone with height of 10 inches filling with nut from the bottom point at a rate of 8 cubic inches per second find rate of change of height dh/dt of the nut level when butplug is 60% filled with nut. Dv/dt = 8, volume of cone 1/3 pi r^2 h
If d=20, r=10. Then bc we need dh/dt, we use h in substitution for r in volume
Volume = 1/3 pi h^2 *h = 1/3pi h^3, so dv/dt = 1/3pi*3h^2(dh/dt)= pi h^2 dh/dt
We also know dv/dt is 8, so 8=pi h^2 dh/dt and thus dh/dt = 8/(pi h^2)
Now we need h. Since the butplug is 60% full, or 3/5, we just need h at 3/5 total volume
V=3/5(1/3 pi h^3) (since r=h here), v = 1/5 pi 10^3 = 200pi
Now set this volume equal to volume formula of original cone, 200pi = 1/3pi h^3
Solve for h to get 600^(1/3), substitute back into dh/dt equation for 8/(pi((600^(1/3))^2)
Solve to find the height of the nut level is increasing by 0.0356 inches per second
IXL is basically top-tier torture disguised as an educational tool. You think it's here to help you learn, but no — it's more like a psychological punishment machine. The moment you open IXL, it feels less like studying and more like signing a lifetime prison contract. Let's talk about the infamous SmartScore. Don't be fooled — there's nothing "smart" about it. It's pure StupidScore. You can grind for an hour, get 15 questions right in a row, and feel like you're almost done. Then you mess up once, and BOOM — you lose 10 points instantly. That drop hits harder than the stock market crashing. One tiny mistake can erase an entire hour of progress. It's not motivating — it's soul-crushing. The question design? Endless repetition until you mentally collapse. Wrong answers aren't just wrong — they're treated like crimes. One mistake equals ten times the punishment. It doesn't feel like growth; it feels like IXL whispering: "you're worthless." And the explanations? Supposed to help, right? Instead, they're walls of text longer and more confusing than the question itself. You read them and end up even more lost. One wrong answer kills your mood, and one explanation kills your brain cells. Teachers love IXL because it tracks "progress." But as students, we're just lab rats stuck in a digital maze. Parents think you're studying, but in reality, you're just suffering in silence while some cold algorithm records your breakdowns. IXL also has this unique side effect: it doesn't just kill your love for math — it kills your will to live. Time slows down to a crawl when you're doing IXL. Every minute feels like serving another year of a sentence. If hell had WiFi, its homepage would be IXL. The worst part? There's no sense of achievement, no clear finish line — only punishment and repetition. It's not a "learning platform." It's an infinite punishment generator.
It causes so much fu## rage, and you have to do it no brake no freedom nobody, I mean NOBODY LIKES THIS SITE SO MUCH FU## RAGE, which is bad for the body
Pretend you are a kid that is doing ixl, u get the correct answer, ur at 99, but you get the next question wrong, boing ur a 53 points, so if ur parent don't waste ur money and use something something like prodigy or any other app, DON'T lose money to this absolute disgrace and evil company
Sue IXL iso dfsjksjlfslsajljdfaklfaksldsj; lkajsldjflkjklajiytiuytiuytiuytuytiuytiutuiytiuytiuytiuytuyt
So, IXL. People hate this website, and if you gave a 5-star review, then you're definitely using the calculator. I mean, IXL is terrible, but it's not as bad as you think. I really didn't want to admit it, but it actually got my grade up. But I don't understand why my parents make me do it in SUMMER when you're SUPPOSED to be on break. And also, IXL thought that 0.0007 was GREATER than 0.0077, (as seen in the picture) which makes me think that IXL is about as useful as a gaming PC without an operating system. Also, proof of purchase: the dashboard has "My IXL" on it.
Stupid, boring, dumb, i hate it so bad it only have 1 answer, i typed, 09.8 and it said wrong it said it was supooed to be 9.8
This App Just Sucks Please Dont Go To It Its Wanting Me To Get Myself A refund When Its Free! Just Please Dont Go To This.
I'm just a kid, but listen to me. Ixl Is bad. First, There is no paper or anything, so It's hard for you do do those complex math problems. You might be thinking 'Just get paper" ther is a timer that will stress you out. Not sure why they included this, but how should i know Also, the word problem's don't make any sense. Here is a problem: "The cafeteria sold 9 fewer bowls of chicken soup than bowls of tomato soup. They sold 15 bowls of soup in all. How many bowls of tomato soup did the cafeteria sell?" You can solve this, they have videos teaching you how, but the video says 'Guess some random number close to the answer, do a bunch of calculations, and GET IT WRONG yes, It expects,( No, wants) you to get it wrong. Then do it again and again until you get it right. The point of math is to get it right. It is okay if you amke mistakes, but to purposly tell you to get it wrong is crazy. The reading ones are easy, but I am a nerd. Next, It makes these false claims of 'Personalized learning' It tell syou when you get an question wrong, This is supposed to be good, but it taunts you, telling you exactly how and why you got it wrong. It doesn't even give you an explanation. It just tells you the ansewer. They also have this smart-score thing. If you get a question wrong, it goes down a lot. If you get it right, it gives you like 2-3 points. Mind you, the way to 'Beat" ixl is to get a 100. If you are at the "challange zone", the final 10 points, if you get one wrong, it willl send you to like 82 points and you have to waste another 5 minutes of your time getting to the challange zone again. It also makes you feel "Happy" by giving you awards. Sort of like a video game, but not fun to play the game. Don't belive me, Check out other reveiws at common sense media or try the free trial. Please ban this. No kid should go through the mental torture me and my classamtes have endured.
It is so specific on ela and is really boring and is really dumb...
It gives you very little points for a correct question and takes away about 10 points when you get a question wrong. Especially when you get close to the high point levels. It tries to make you do math for eternity. Just awful.
Answer: SCAM! IXL is the worst learning site I have ever seen!
Answer: Dunno. Just please, dont use it and if your forced to do it as an assinment beg your teacher to quit cause IXL is annoying s he11.
Answer: To be a scam to get 20 dollars a month for every person who falls in. Also to be the worlds best torture device for kids under 18
Answer: Sadly No... Unless you use Inspect element to fake scores everytime you open it.
Answer: I dunno, just beg your parents/teachers to stop usuing the $#%&ing
Answer: YES. I HAVE LOST MY VOICE MULTIPLE TIMES TRYING TO BEG MY MOM TO GET ME OFF OF THIS 1.1 STAR WEBSITE/APP
Answer: Probably nobody. Unless a bigwig government official who REMEMBERS WHAT IT WAS LIKE TO BE A KID actually looks at IXL for a literal freaking nanosecond goes, "This is actually horrible!" Unfortunately, the odds of that happening are so low that it probably won't happen in my lifetime.
Answer: * That's an asterisk. You have probably seen what it does.
Answer: It is really good it gives lessons and videos how to do it and if you buy yearly subscription it is 10% of and it improved my sons grades, but it has some errors.
