I regret letting my parents download IXL for me and my brother to use as a learning tool. It's a complete waste of time and money. IXL is an anxiety/stress jail. Once you step in, you can't go out without throwing your device ACROSS THE ROOM. Sadly, I can't take my angry on IXL personally, so this review is basically summarizing WHY I AM ANGRY. Today when I was using IXL, I got a question wrong. Whenever you get a question incorrectly, it decreases by a HUGE AMOUNT. And whenever I get a question correctly, it increases a little bit. This is unfair and stupid. IXL needs to do better. IXL sucks. It's a waste of time and money. Don't bother mention this to your parents, they might download this painful, idiotic app. I RECOMMEND YOU NOT TO GET THIS FRICKING USELESS APP.

I'm a 6th grader and I have this for homework all day every time I always think it is rigged and it is because they always make it hard for us in 82-100 in our smart score IXL I$#*!ing hate you and this should never exist

IXL would have been great but, it makes no effort to actually improve the students that are using it. Unlike Khan Academy it does not have real time help options and a lot of time the explanations do not make sense. It has an extremely harsh points system that only gives about 3-4 points for correctness but takes close to 6 for a question input wrong. I have seen students have nearly 200 questions answered 2+ hours of time trying to pass and still give up at an 80. IXL causes more harm than good and has negative effects on the mental health of students. The image shown shows how long it took for a student to get to a 100 on their IXL through all 6 sessions

I am a 5th grader, and my mom forces me to do IXL and when I get the fu*king question right, I get like 1-3 fu*king points; when I don't do it correctly, it takes away 5-9 points. What the FU*K!

Ive been forced to use this site since third grade and its absolute $#*!. The smartscores are unfair, some of the questions awnsers are wrong, and its a stress factory! AT ALL COSTS, STAY AWAY FROM IXL!

The Grading system produces unfairness and is bias. To complete a stage, I would need to waste my energy on reading the text and answer the questions with pounds of headaches. For example: One day, I was doing all the right math calculations, I submit the correct numbers, but they marked it as wrong. To make matters worse, it was a GET 5 IN A ROW question. I kept inserting the correct digits but they kept implying that I am wrong. It was until the grading system said LAST CHANCE TO STAY IN STAGE 2 that I quiz doing the courses.

This app causes anxiety. I am a student and have used ixl as a required part of school curriculum since 3rd grade. It absolutely sucks $#*!. It causes low self esteem and depression with the smart score, and all of my classmates agree categorically that this app should be shut down.

IXL is stupid! It does not knew how to round i put in the right answer it would say it was rong! Also it ALWAYS made me (as a kid) radge quit! Over all IXL is $#*!ing bull crap! Also some times on a multiple ciose it does not eaven have the right ansor.

Its a target in school to help build up missing assighnments. You have to answer an unnecessary amount of questions. If you get one wrong its brings you down a lot and farther than the score most teachers allow (80 or 90). Ixl produces a huge amount of stress for students. My freinds therapist even said there should be a better option instead of ixl.(a liscensed therapist) Ixl should give up on there website and just delete it. Most of the people that work there are to old to be helping in some way to stress out kids.

The point system is rigged, when you get one wrong it doesn't tell you good enough how to get it right and if you get a lot of questions wrong, they start repeating and it doesn't even feel good when you finally finish it, because most of the time you don't even get any awards, which by the way, they are awful too. But even though IXL is awful, schools still use it for some ungodly reason.

Horrible garbage. Destroys your mental health. One smartscore point for a correct question and if yu get it wrong you lose about 20. Bull

The system only half-works,and is wrong most of the time. The challenge zone is more challenging than most hardcore puzzle games at times, even for the Elementary school levels.

I think that IXL is really really REALLY dumb. I think this because I am in first grade, and I did the diagnostic. I got into 12 grade math, but they were still giving me volume as a recommendation. Also, when you get a problem wrong, the entire program just crashes, and when I sign back in, I lose 30 points. Lastly, I also think that ixl is dumb because I have severe depresion because of it, and im only in first grade.

Now don't get me started on this dumbass website, it's even worse than IREADY! My first point, what the $#*! is the point system. When you get to 75+ you go up by 3 and 2 and then 1. But then when you get ONE $#*!ING QUESTION WRONG. You go down by $#*!ing TEN+. SERIOUSLY WHAT. My second point, THEY EXPLAIN THE QUESTIONS SO WEIRDLY. Here let me just show you one. It literally says, "
Use your line plot to answer the question below.
How much more propane fuel did they use during the meal when they used the most than during the meal when they used the least?" The lesson is II.3 by the way. I bet you, you can not answer that, and if you can, You deserve a high five. Also, who the $#*! uses propane fuel to cook food? It may make sense but I do not get it at all. My last point, it's no where near an "education system". IXL, delete your website. Whoever created IXL (i'm too lazy to search up who did) it's no where near what you wanted it to be. (if you wanted it to be an education site). It's basically a torture zone. It has no effect on education and all it effects is our depression, our anger. You have to do something about this IXL creator, and if you are reading this, READ THE OTHER $#*!ING REVIEWS GOD DAMMIT!

I am in 7th grade, and this site is awful. It caused more stress than regular math and doesn't help anyone learn.

IXL is terrible it makes my kid so mad when he gets something wrong and goes back 7 and goes up 2 or 3 it is a terrible site! Do not Recommend!
