It is so so annoying! I am so stressed and cried several times! I got a 80 and it went all the way to 70! Like it was saying chose what looks equal on all sides, and there was this shape that was sometimes and sometimes NOT equal. It was SOoo annoying! It wanted me to break my compputer! Yall shouldnt do IxL! Takes me FOREVER!

Im gonna cut straight to the chase, IXL is a very frustrating thing for a student like me to experience. The point system is very frustrating, for example, when you start the IXL, you increase by 10,7 points per each question you get right. And if you get one wrong, you decrease by about 3. But by the end, you increase by 3 or 2 points, and decrease by 7-9 points. This makes it so that students like me are stuck with 50 points. Learning platforms should make it easier when you try to achieve a goal. IXL tries to stop you.

Ixl has terrible point systems, causes anxiety and depression, uses repitition instead of teaching a better way, and doesn't give second chances. It caused frustration and anger problems for my child.

Ixl is very bad. When i click "need a break?" it takes me to another lesson. Its terrible. Gives me bad thoughts. Crash out

IXL is a fine learning app but the way they frase some of their words are infuriating for kids and the challenge zone questions jump up to a whole different level that isn't fair for the childs knowledge not forgetting the fact that you get about 2 points per question in the 70 and 80 but if you get one wrong it penalizes by 10 the point system is the worst part cause it ruins the child's self esteem

This app has literally made me cry multiple times. Please schools, don't ever use this "learning" app. First, The scoring system is terrible and rigged. Why? First, When you get ONE question wrong, your score gets deducted by 10-20 points, but when you actually do get one right, you get 2-4 added to your score. This is just unfair tbh. Once, I stayed up until 3 AM just on a few IXL lessons. Plus, this doesn't even help me at all, and it's incredibly boring. This shouldn't even be considered as a "learning app." I think that this is just as bad as I-Ready. Although there are explanations, they don't help, as they are too long to read at 3am, and sometimes aren't even related to the question. It usually takes me at least an hour to complete a single one. My entire class despises this "learning" app. It's also so overwhelming because they usually assign 3+ of these, usually more. They take at least about an hour each. When I was in 1st grade, I literally broke the tablet screen because of this app. Next the "ReWaRdS!"... I hate that they are called this. NOTHING is more rewarding then a digital picture or sticker, am I right? Also, the explanations sometimes don't even make sense or don't even help a TINY bit. I don't understand why teachers love it so much, even if it clearly doesn't help at all, but what I think is that IXL is simply an excuse for teachers to not have to manually print paper, assign it, and then grade it. My teachers already assign enough homework, but now I have to deal with this every week? None of their subjects are even mildly interesting and it just stresses kids out. I've seen multiple kids throw their devices and rage over a wannabe "learning" app. Teachers, if you wanna see your students cry and throw their devices, this is PERFECT FOR YOU! Otherwise, stay far away.

So at the start of this year my school got IXL. I heard they paid money for this horrible program. We're required to do 30 minutes per week at my school, which isn't bad but that's not the point. It punishes mistakes very harshly the better you do. Earlier today I was doing something about stuff in ads and I literally forgot what the 3 options and how they work are now, and I got into the "challenge zone" and then made a few mistakes and my smart score dropped drastically, this would continue for a good while until i got so frustrated that I spent almost ~20 minutes on a single IXL, and my puberty brain lashed out and purposely made mistakes until the smart score was at 0, then I exited out of IXL and my mood was absolutely obliterated. I can't imagine, this costed money, im not sure how much, but if you're considering getting IXL for your school or self, don't, I'll save you the money and frustration.

Ixl is bad! All the time, when you get it wrong it pulls you down! On 90, if you get to 97, it will pull you like 20 points off. Ixl is bad for your mental health.

IXL is bad because kids have to learn so much if you get combo pack you might have to do 4 everyday or 1 or 6 and if you get the core pack 2,4,6,8.

I have spent over an hour today on my homework on this, I am doing math IXL 8th grade L.2 L.4. I have lost many points because I forgot to put a variable in the answer but more than that, when I do get it wrong, It always tries to show how I was in the wrong but it does not ACTUALLY tell you why you got it wrong it just tells you the correct answer to said problem

Its so frustrating to have to do IXL inside and outside school, its so time consuming and basically useless. The only thing IXL has ever taught me is how to cheat better. Second,It makes no sense! Not just the material there teaching you its the overall website. When you get a question right or wrong it will give/take away points.But the part that I have the most problems with is why it takes away more points then it gives points,and i would spend hours trying to complete a skill. It's honestly just a big waste of time for everyone.

You shouldn't have to go back if you get a question wrong. It also makes it go up slower and slower as you get more correct. Absurd.

IXL sacrificed me to the devil and then left my dead, naked body in a diddy party. I was forced to watch Diddy and Drake molest my dead body in the diddy freak offs for hours and hours. After this, I was resurrected with severe pain in my butt and it hurt a lot because of drakes big long meat. After I got resurrected, my mom made me go to school because she says I cant miss a day. When I got to school, I found out that I'd missed out on 17 hours worth of IXL that my teacher said was due by 3:00 PM yesterday. When she asked me if I'd done it, I said no and then my whole class laughed at me and dumped the class trash can on me. After that, I smelled so bad that people stopped talking to me for a week straight. When I tried to talk to my friend after that, he acted like he didn't know me and called the rest of the school to beat the $#*! out of me. After they broke all of the bones and ligaments in my body, they took potato peelers and skinned me alive, then poured a tub of salt on me. After all of this abuse, I ended up crying a singular tear which made them notice that I had felt pain. They got so mad at this that they burned my corpse alive and then called Diddy back onto me, who brought his whole gang of Freaksters and bodyguards to kill and molest me at the same time. The bodyguards shot me into swiss cheese with shotguns and AR-15s while his freaksters touched me. They then threw me into wet concrete, and my body would then become trapped in a sidewalk. They then $#*! all over the part of the sidewalk that my body was trapped in, and then proceeded to bring all of my family members and send them into outer space one by one, while my consciousness still remained, trapped in the street, forcing me to listen to this happen. When I finally died inside of that sidewalk, I went to hell, because IXL sold my soul, and I was forced to do thousands of IXL problems for the rest of eternity while never getting the satisfaction of completing a lesson.

This is app will only make you mad, depressed, stressed, and make you cry.
First, I'd like to say how bad the scoring system is, when you get a question right you earn about 8-18 points and get deducted about 6-10 points, but once you get up to 80 it starts deducting 10's and 18's and when you get to 90 you only gain 2 points and lose 15-20 points.
Second, I'd also like to talk about what happens when you get a question wrong. When you get a question wrong it tells you why you got it wrong and gives a very long wordy explanation, which is sometimes very confusing and no help at all.
When your doing it for extended periods of time all it does is just make you mad and cry.
And for science it's even worse, if you get a single, SINGLE question wrong it resets all your progress, and if you keep getting it wrong you'll get moved back to the previous stage. I had a experience with that, I was stuck on it for a entire hour and answered over +400 questions, and when I finished, what was I rewarded with? A sticker for my profile and even longer and harder work. Please do not use this app it will turn you into a whole different person.

I am a student and who is forced to do IXL for school assignments. Luckily enough, I did not need to buy a subscription for this app, the school has me covered. Frequently I throw down the keyboard because I got one question wrong and it set me back five questions. Sometimes I sit for thirty minutes and I still did not get a score of eighty required by my teachers. I am no slacker in math, even though I am still in seventh grade I do eighth grade level assignments.

Worst thing ever it's bad, its unfair, get one wrong and your at like -27 (hyperbole) its just bad don't use it, it will destroy your students mental health and pysical health is some cases, it also makes you forget everything directly after because how boring in this. Please schools don't use this
