Worst company I have every dealt with customer service is nill, big run around too many hidden fees, red flags since first call, need to get media involved in this company so others stay away and don't make mistake to enter into this confidential network, check all reviews, this company robs customers and even installers contracted through Intoxalock will tell you its a company very difficult to communicate and deal with, can never get a straight answer or the same answer to frequently asked questions, people who answer phones don't do what they say they will and very hard to get a manager or supervisor to talk to which definitely is a BIG RED FLAG,why are they hiding from customers? Well to find out every time that you try and ask its confidential, this isn't THE CIA,it's a bunk company out of Hogsville Iowa, that every time you call you get a different person and when they give you a call back number the never answer

I wish I had read these reviews before giving my business to these frauds.

It's shocking how incompetent the workers are. These people are dishonest. Period. I can't think
Of anything else they can screw up, but I know they will again. Shameful.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE
January 11, 2023

Beware! Once they get you signed up you will be in for a very rough ride. They will charge you for things that you did not agree to. They insisted a device could go in my 2022 car and ruined the battery. They laughed at me when there were problems. AND they "Reported" that I had removed the device-which NEVER happened. They are completely untrustworthy and it's truly unfortunate that they seem to have the corner on the market. AVOID THEM AT ALL COST

Devil machine! Hell experience! Run!
January 7, 2023

I wish I could give them a zero star. By far the worst experience I am having ever. Not only am I fighting this DUI case but I have to deal with this horrible machine that has been giving me problems since day one. Every time I explained this to customer service and service center, I am dismissed and told this is normal. Battery drain within 2months of using it, hidden fees left and right, missed work (more money missed), outsource customer service is horrible, fake failed results and the list goes on. I wish I would have took a chance and risked driving dirty. I thought I would never think this way but this experience is so stressful. You have to blow ever 5 mins (sometimes a little more) while driving and this is very dangerous. I don't know why this is a solution. I pray to God I get through this 8 months and God gets me out of this experience in a positive way somehow.

They have the worst customer service and they lie about their contracts rates! Don't waste your time or energy with them! What I should have done is ask for a copy their contract before using them, as I got total f$&!ed by them.

Ripoff
December 31, 2022

I had an old DUI ticket (20 years old) in a Pacific Northwest state that put a hold on my license because I didn't finish jumping through hoops. Had to get this thing to get the hold taken off. The state I am in doesn't require it however I don't want another hold. They sent a more expensive version with a camera that cost twice as much to install. I haven't drank alcohol in 10+ years, and about a month into it it said I was in violation 10 (not providing a good sample I think). Said it would lock me out in 4 days. Got it calibrated an in a month and a half it did the same thing! Have to get it calibrated AGAIN! That costs money. I will probably put a battery maintainer on the vehicle and let it serve out its time, it seems to fail on its own to run up costs. Check reviews and get something else, don't get yourself ripped off. And support is a foreigner who can barely speak English.

The worst at everything, except taking your money!
December 27, 2022

Hold times are unreal to speak to a person and you're lucky if you get a person who speaks or understands English. Just hope you never find yourself in an emergency situation. Their equipment is faulty at best, especially in extremely cold climates, Yes Intoxalock... even when the device is put into "power saving mode". During these said cold temperatures, the hand-held device will malfunction, even during random testing, causing a violation, only to retest seconds later with no violations. Once the vehicle is restarted the hand-held device then reads "3 days to service before a lockout". At this point you are then charged a $75 fee for a lockout. So, Riddle me this... Their equipment has malfunctioned, The handheld device states I have 3 days before a lockout and even if I have it serviced within those three days, I'm still getting charged a lockout fee?! Your next step is to call the customer service line again, wait on hold for another unrealistic length of time to request a refund in which they will review and get back to you with a decision.
**IF YOU ARE A WASHINGTON STATE RESIDENT**
(I can't blame Intoxalock for this)
Washington state law will not allow intoxalock to remotely reset your handheld device in an emergency lockout situation for you to drive to the nearest service center to have your device service or calibrated. You must have your vehicle towed at your cost whether or not it is your fault or because of the companies faulty equipment! Washington State also requires those of us who make a certain amount of money per year or more to pay an additional monthly fee for those who cannot afford their interlocking ignition device. So if you live in Washington state, be prepared for that with any interlocking ignition company.

Horrible experiences overall with Intoxalock - the installer damaged my car to install the unit, which I had to file a claim on. Filing the claim was a nightmare because I called 4 or 5 times and they never emailed me the form they kept saying I needed to fill out as part of the process. I was finally able to get the form when I insisted on talking to a supervisor, which took 15-20 minutes on hold to speak to, and then I had to wait for the supervisor to dig up information and process the call for another 20 minutes. Later, my Intoxalock device said it was not calibrated on time and wouldn't let me start my car, this was on December 26th. My account and emails about the service said the calibration was due December 27th, so there must have been a misalignment between the devices internal calibration due date and my account's calibration due date.

A have had a miserable experience with this company and cannot recommend them to anyone.

Took all my money and said I still owe one month!
December 21, 2022

I paid all these exorbitant fees to have this inerlock device in for 6 months. I did. Then they sent a notice to DMV saying that I didn't do the entire 6 months. Their typo on my invoice shows my lease date ending sooner but you can see I paid all the way up to June, 2018. I can't get anyone on the phone from the company. They are fraudsters. Now DMV is saying I need to do one more month of interlock device but I have no driver license!

RIPOFF
December 20, 2022

This company is the reason people drive unlicensed. BIG TIME! The only time they answer right away and you get to speak to someone who's first language is English is when you sign up for a new account. Other than that you are screwed. 1 year and over $1200 later not including the exit fees and numerous calls to customer service (joke) and no answers they now tell me they cannot take my credit card off file and should you be so unfortunate to have a lockout don't bother asking why or what day or time it happened. They cannot see that or answer anything! Amazingly they are able to withdraw $45 from your account every 2 weeks with no interference whatsoever. I am investing in a horse and buggy. Worst year ever!

Vicious Unending Cycle
December 12, 2022

Ive had to use a couple of different interlock services, Intoxalock is hands down the worst! Rates are cheaper than most but do not be deceived! This device charges you for things like turning the key before blowing! Company insists you leave the vehicle on a trickle charger if you are not driving, it draws power constantly. When it has successfully drained your vehicle battery prepare for power interruption and towing charges, will ultimately fall on you. Their main office is overseas so you'll also have the pleasure of navigating their phone trees and useless technicians who will try and rush you off the phone. This business sole success lies in its ability to extract cash from your pocket at every turn!

They Lie to You
December 6, 2022

Please stay away from this company at all costs. I have been waiting 30 days for a document that I need to send to my state so I can drive again. I call customer service and you go to agents in a foreign country who have nothing but canned responses. I have spoken to them, and their answer is you will have the document in 24 to 48 hours. You wait two days, and nothing comes you call the next day they say the document takes 3 to 5 business days and they are working on it, and you are in the que, and they can only work in the order they come in on. If you are lucky and you get them to transfer, you to the USA to a specialist and those people say, "I have escalated this, and you will have the document within the next two hours" and noting ever comes. I have been doing this dance for weeks now and there seems to be no way I can get a one-page document that takes 2 minutes to manually fill out. I can't drive or work until I get this document to my DMV. They basically just lie to you to get you off the phone. If you look at the feedback on "Glass Door" you will see that the employees themselves, say they just lie to customers to get them off the phone because they are so disorganized and they are paid incentives to have the shortest calls. Basically, have had the device on a car I can't drive now for 45 days and counting waiting for a one-page document to mail to the DMV to get my limited drivers license and go back to work. This company is ruining lives and should be ashamed of themselves.

Deserves a 0
December 1, 2022

This company is basically a scam and finds any way to charge a fee. Dead batteries. Employees that just talk in circles and do nothing for the customer. I was charged for errors on the devices end and have to pay the cheap unprofessional third party companies they use to install these things. On top of that I have to pay the ridiculous fees that have 0 correlation.

Missed Court- dead battery
November 30, 2022

This business is very unprofessional from "not being able to transfer you to a supervisor", to not taking any responsibility for the Intoxalock camera and blow machine, which is outdated, draining your car battery after 1.5 days in my experience, so, I missed a court date and was only able to drive my car for approx. 5 days out of 71 to 72 days. They would not give me a new lease for only 90 days, which, is how long I needed it for, but said I had to sign the original lease for a year. Then, when I had an early removal, wanted to charge me for the rest of the lease! One employee even told me to "call your probation officer" to which I replied, "I don't have one!" I had to tow my car for a lockout, which they charged $81.00 for when my husband, not knowing their, "it's stated in the lease" policy about not putting your key in the ignition, but blowing first when he was trying to get my battery charged. Nothing but hell and no acceptance of liability with this company. Their website states, "Washington driver's can have an Interlock device for less than $3.00 per day, which is a blatant lie, as I paid $454.78 for 71 to 72 days, which calculates to a whopping $6.40 a day. This is only a ploy for the state and Washington state patrol, with their faulty assessments, urinalysis, and false Draeger breathalyzer tests, that aren't reliable at all, along with treatment facilities to gouge the regular Joe and get more money out of its citizens that probably can't afford it. This is criminal behavior and I'd state all of this under oath, as these are the facts and only the facts. Buyer beware, I should've checked reviews, but they're approved by the State as well as the testing and counseling centers that basically give the state kickbacks just to favor the "justice" system and not its citizens. They are only out for themselves and money that we are paying for through our overly stated house and property taxes, inflated state sales taxes, and now this! When does it stop. These plans are not for my benefit! Their "towing" only covers 7-10 miles, so when I went into lockout, my husband had to borrow our neighbors' car trailer, or incur over the miles fees! I even missed my court date on 10-25, due to a dead battery! CRIMINALS!
