Equipment is not safe

I got the Intoxalock installed on January 6 on January 16. It drained my battery. After getting a hold of roadside service, they told me to call AAA so I canceled my roadside service and now I have AAA I had another unit put in which was also faulty got another handheld device that was faulty. Finally got my fifth hand held, and it is working for the most part, I almost got hit yesterday around the rotary because the machine went off. I let it go off and got around the rotary before the guy was too close to me. I told a customer rep today that if it's the interlocks on my life it's gonna be me not the machine, they are the worst company ever hard to get a hold of and really rip you off as far as money. If I had the money, I'd switch to another company the unit and its self is very dangerous while driving cell phones are illegal, but this machine is legal, they say pull off to the side of the road. How do you do that in traffic or off the highway? I really would like to know how many accidents or deaths have been caused by this machine. I got out of my car last night after putting it on PowerSave and was walking away And the horn and the lights started going off I had no idea why I had to get back in and restart the car so now I can't call the car possessed anyway the only way we're going to get anything done with this is from the people that are using the machine you need to post on true pilot, you can look up the CEO on Lincoln and let them know what's going on You can also consumer reports and put it on there and of course the Better Business Bureau. Write your DMV when I went out for my road test I had to pull over twice my DMV driver was not impressed and violations. Should not be for stupid things that you can't get a breath and it only should be used in alcohol that's it. That's what it was made for, so yeah they are scamming. I'm doing everything that I can as I can say people is do as much as you can and if you have to get a lawyer. I keep a journal now on phone calls reviews anything that I have done.

I have had this machine for 6 years. I'm due to have it removed in August. Starting in Dec in MN where the temp can get to -30 in the winter, I started having issues I have not had with them. I have been charged multiple times for a lock out due to early start. The early starts have been flagged because I started my vehicle with the count down still running for the 3 minute count down to restart without a sample, I have not done so if there is less then 10 seconds left. I have been working on disputing the fees for over a month and everytime I call I'm told A their supervisor is in a meeting or B they sent their supervisor a message and will get back to me, which has not happened. So now I'm expected to pay a $300 bill which is usually $96 in order to have the machine inspect for issues and they expect me to take a day off work to do this. So they do not understand extreme cold weather isn't the best for these machines to opporated in, and I remove the machine to take in the house so it's out of the cold.

On Jan 18th your device gave me two fails after forgetting that I had rinsed and brushed my tongue with Listerene(SP) I waited about 15 -20 min drank water and blew into the machine it gave me 2 fails and then gave me a pass but on my rolling retest about 5 min later it failed me...I spoke to a guy at intoxalock that day and spoke to a lady today@4:10pm Feb 15 and she called me a liar about starting my vehicle on Jan 18th which I told her I could get prove from the post office as I had to sign for a package...Now my state(MN) wants me to start my 3 yrs over... Who would like to sue this company with me for their equipment malfunctioning or for them calling us liars.
I am going to to put my full name because I am sick of this $#*!! If I didn't start my vehicle how did I make it a Perkins 50 miles away! Zero rating if I could give it.

Their app said to unplug on cold nights and bring the device inside. It was -20, so I did. The next morning I had a lockout in 3 days. Called customer service they said they would take off the 75 lockout charge after. Ther are notes on your account, spoke with a mangaer. So, I paid. Then called back. No notes, was told to call back in 24 hrs... not to mention the 75 I paid the service center when I was told a recalibration would be $20...
Don't use this company!

RUN & DON'T LOOK BACK!

I would NOT recommend this company to my worst enemy! No one in customer service has a clue to what is going on or how to do their job. The only way to get anyone that knows what is going on is to leave a bad review! Even then they are no help. I have NEVER seen a company with so many unknowledgeable customer service representatives. Even the devise can't tell when your car has been turned off and will still ask you to give a breath sample! So when you turn your car off you better be ready to get out! They also can't show you proof that you failed to give a sample unless you get a court ordered subpoena! This is the 2nd time mine has been extended due to me "not giving a sample" after I turned my vehicle off when getting home from work, all because they "say" they have a photo of me still in the vehicle. That's 8 extra months! Their device should recognize when a vehicle has been turned off and not ask for another sample. If you are looking for an interlock company this is NOT the one you want I PROMISE!

Worst company ever.they are thieves and their equipment is absolutely faulty! I have not had alcohol in my system for 9 plus years but was still made to have to get this horrible equipment put in my car have had numerous unjust violations I have videotaped everything and I have a written log of every b******* violation this company has put on me... thousands of dollars in unjust violations, this is the most ridiculous unbelievably unfair system that they have going in Massachusetts. The RMV regulates these people, this company and it's disgusting. Do not use intoxalock. I'm getting a lawyer and suing this company!
I also contacted investigative journalist "helpmehank" of Boston7 news because intoxalock should not be allowed to rob people like this! Hopefully this review is read bu people and it helps you out!
Tape everything, get a GoPro camera in your vehicle if your forced to have to use this scamming company! They lie, cheat and absolutely will rob you blind the scumbags!

This company sounds great and is great when they first want your business and sign you up as a customer, but once they have you it's all DOWN hill from there. So before I start please beware, if you have another option please take it. I've been trying to get in touch with Intoxalock for 5 days now with an issue. Each day I have spent about 2 hours on the phone sacrificing my own lunch time and family time. Every time I have called I have been put through the wringer. In total I have probably spoken to 50 costumer service representatives, of which none were able to help me or the least transfer me to a manager or someone with more knowledge. A manager that can help you is none existent. It's very frustrating as you are trying to do the right thing and no-one is there to help you as they advertise to be.

I called to set this up, and was told there is a 1 time inital charge, and then monthy payments, they set up for auto pay.
I went ahead and offered the first monthly payment.
I got an email telling me date of install, and informing me of a $250 install charge.
If I had been given that info in my phone call, I would of looked into other options.
I did look into other places about a week later, because this was playing out like a scam.
Life Saver! This is the Company you want.
They will look if you qualify for indigent, if you do, no charge on calibration appts.
I requested my back from intoxalock.
They charged me $80.

Their customer service is HORRIBLE! I got a lockout because my breath temperature was too low- hello! It's winter! I can't warm my car up until I blow into the stupid thing, so I ended up paying $65 for the lockout and then on top of it they're trying to charge me $75 for a lockout?! Go somewhere else this place is the worst.

I'll keep it short so as not to bore you all with the NUMEROUS problems with intoxacrook, just know that they are HANDS DOWN the worst decision you will make, trying to save a buck! Old, junk equipment, extra service fees, lie after lie after lie, horrible customer service, brought to you by outsourcing to the middle east, lockouts that set you up for failure, cancelations of service after they steal your money and your service gets extended by your monitoring authority...lots more...GO SOMEWHERE, ANYWHERE ELSE for your iid

My car got into an accident and was totaled. I had a new car to put the device in 2 weeks prior to my next calibration due date. They kept telling me I had to wait for the claims department to contact me before I could schedule the new installation. As my Calibration deadline drew closer I called them up everyday to see why I hadn't been contacted, and to make sure I didn't get reported to a violation. At first they introduced me to break State law to avoid a compliance issue, then I was told it was taken care of and the wouldn't accidentally tell the State I wasn't compliant. Everything I was told by everyone I talked to was complete BS. The never made my new installation appointment before my calibration date, then falsely reported me to my States DMV to a violation. My removal date was in two weeks, now my license is suspended and I am required to have the device for another year thanks to the complete incompetence of Intoxalok.

This company is playing with my life right now as I write. I've had this device over 3 months ago, over what the court ordered. I gave them all the paperwork they wanted from the NJMVC and they said they never received it all the time.
They keep charging me $53 every biweekly.
I'll be losing my job at the end of this month because of this company.
My landlord already kicked me out because of my DUI.
There is nothing else to do but to leave this world.
I don't know what to do.
I tried hospice, but you need to be terminally ill.
When I die, let it be known that this company and the state of NJ are the one's who helped.
I'm done

Waste of Time and Money

I had their device installed for over a year, but that time didn't count because they assured me I had permission to remove the device when that was not true. I thought I had completed all that was required of me only to find out years later that my license had been suspended due to their incompetence. I will now have to start the process over again to reinstate my license. They simply do not care that their representatives lied to me repeatedly. Once I was eventually able to talk to someone in their escalation department I was told that they don't even communicate with my state MVD and it is my fault for believing the lower-level representatives when they told me they do.

I had my Intoxalock removed two days ago and closed my account. And today they charged me $63.29. When I called I was told to call back later and hung up on. I called three more times and not one person could explain the charges. I am appalled.

These devices are highly prone to errors and failures costing you money in fees and inaccurate reporting. I am on my third device in less than three months. Even though they have replaced it three times, the device faults into violations causing me to pay additional fees to the service center and the company. My device will let me start the car, and it continue to count down asking me to start the car, even though it is started. If the computer does not reset before the countdown ends, it will cause a violation costing me $125 each time. I have video recorded this several time for the service center to see. They agree that it is a device.

This is 3rd review I've written in my lifetime. The first 2 were positive. Guys & Gals, RUN AS FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY AS YOU CAN! They promised me a sign-on rebate … It NEVER CAME! They locked me out of my car, yet gave me no reason why. All my tests were.000BAC … I NEVER would dream of tampering with my equipment or try to "game the system." I'm not an idiot … Yet they gave me a service-lockout. One person told me it would be $250 to rectify the matter. Another told me it would only be $53. I could go ON & ON & ON! My life's mission is to save as many people as I can from this awful company. I'm even going to do all I can to get my home state of Tennessee to PLEASE rescind their certification for INTOXALOCK. This is how ABYSMAL this outfit it. I don't care what you have to do, NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THEM! On a scale of 1-to-10, I would give them a NEGATIVE 4,000. Walk, ride a bike, ride a horse, crawl on your knees, just NEVER NEVER NEVER PUT AN INTOXALOCK DEVICE ON YOUR CAR!

I have suffered thru 5 long years with this company! The equipment has drained 2 batteries so far, several lockouts due to faulty equipment and nasty people representing the company. I'm eligible to remove it in one week and I can't get ahold of ANYONE who knows what's going on! I did what they said to do on their 'crappy' site and called DOL(on hold for 25 mins.) only to be told I need a compliance letter from Intoxalock! It's been a waste of my time and buying 2 batteries in 5 years wasn't in my. It looks like they're going to try and squeeze an extra few weeks $$ out of me due to all the runaround I'm getting. I'm sick and tired of the whole damn thing and I haven't even drank in 8 years!

MONEY GRABBING THIEVES!

Don't use this company, go with another one. I have had this box for three years in March 23 and at the deadline they violated me for premature box removal. They said I didn't wait until the 3 minute countdown and locked out my vehicle I told them I never saw this in there worthless app. So I called the company and got a person who barely speaks English and he said he would review it with his manager and they billed me 80$ don't use this company
