Lousy
July 13, 2020

Has got to be the worst company ever. A legalized scam, tried to pressure me into buying their auto insurance, when I already have insurance, made a really big deal out of the sr - 22 filing. My insurance company did it for me. Had the unit less than a month and got lock out twice because of FOOD, constantly getting emails about a protection program, towing service, ride service. Stay away.

Do.Not.Use!
July 5, 2020

This is hands down the worst company, device and customer service available. The device will drain your battery ever day and then when you get locked out due to their faulty equipment, they will charge you 75 dollars to get it back up and draining your battery again. I would give more info but I have to go buy a battery tender so I can have a working vehicle when I get back from out of town for work this Thursday. Worst decision I have ever made and thats over my drinking and driving to be in this mess... absolutely horrible...

The Absolute Worst
July 2, 2020

IF you get involved with this company get ready for "HELL" to enter your life. The equipment is outdated it's obsolete. It took me 9 months to complete a six mouth program. That's standard for this company. You can't leave unless you pay an early termination of 200plus dollars if you do and then you start all over at the other company. They will lie, cheat, and now they are trying to outright steal from me by charging close out fees, returned fees, on and on. A program that stated it cost 853 dollars ended up costing me over 1300 dollars and except for my credit card company would have cost even more. There is no recourse It'd Crony Capitalism at it's worse. Their installers are worse. Mobile Electronics in LaGrange Ga. Overcharged me every time I went there for recalibration. Until I found an honest one (Southside Liners in Newnan Ga), was the only way I completed the program. All the rest are straight out crooks. There are a lot of other companies, go to anyone but Intoxalock.

Battery
June 23, 2020

Have complained from first month of having it installed that it was draining and killing my battery went and bought a new battery and still had troubles called multiple times to complain had it in sleep mode still drained battery had to be jumped all the time. Now in shop said battery bad but what is draining it!? Sure they wont admit it's their fault. Even the shop slipped and said they asked for a new component because it's that!

HORRRRRRRRIBLE company. I called to set up intoxalock on my car that my 21 year old is driving. We were concerned about safety but our action was not due to legal problems. I called and ordered the service, I provided a credit card and all of my personal information and I set up the service to install the device over the phone. I was told I would receive an e-mail with instructions and a rebate. NOTHING arrived-then when I called to get information-I was told "you are not authorized on the account" so my car, I am paying for it and I am not authorized to get information because when my daughter went to set up the account (the person with the disease of alcoholism went for the install-she ended up on the account-not her car-not her credit card? And she did not set up the account-so AFTER 6 Hours-and many written attempts-I still have no resolution-my daughter is still primary on the account--worst customer service I have received in many years-my daughter will cooperate in any way but good luck if you want to get this company to provided you an intelligent being on the phone to resolve a problem.

I get nothing but fees added on because the customer service is horrible. I had just gotten it installed and made a few errors and each time they charged me the lock out fee. I explained what happened and still. I was on hold numerous times for over 45 min. Missed my appointments twice. Car would not start it would ask to blow so I did and then it would say blowing and turn off. It should say sampling and passed. This is going on now for awhile/ and no help. You have to blow 4 to 5 times to get it finally passed and not just say blowing. Also it goes off a lot in short drive a and long drives. Almost got into 2 car accidents. And I feel out of breath. I get I got myself into this but I still deserve the help and not get robbed of fees. The device itself is huge. There are many other companies with less fees and smaller device. I am changing my devise and I am afraid to ask what they will charge to uninstall. 1,000 maybe. Never in my life have I encountered this service. I am a hotel manager if I sis this I would be fired. Thank you hope this helps others not make the mistake.

AWFUL COMPANY
May 19, 2020

These people are disgusting criminals. They will treat you with respect when you are a customer. When it comes time for removal, they will treat you with no respect. I had some nasty midwestern witch over the phone charge me $108 for removal, intentionally decline to give me a tracking number for my 922 form for the DMV, and after following all the rules with the device and calling a week ahead of removal, I was told by the service center that they didn't send the 922. There is no reason I couldn't have received a tracking number. They charged me for 15 days when I had 4 days left on my last billing period. After making over $1000 off of me they treated me like I am worthless when time for removal came. I have tried calling twice to get the tracking number for my 922 and the customer service representatives cut me off mid-conversation when they realize I'm not a new customer and transfer me to a line where I am put on hold for 30 minutes, talk to a nasty person, and get put on hold again. This experience was a nightmare. Let alone the device I had for 8 months was distracting when it asked for breath samples while driving. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. THEY ARE CRIMINALS.

So I have to get "recalibrated," and the beauty is that my court dates have all been postponed indefinitely. I was supposed to be able to get it off in April. I haven't driven my vehicle since March due to working from home and coronavirus. Then I'm being mandated by intoxilock to get calibrated, BUT I COULD ONLY BE HELPED IF I EXTENDED MY LEASE. I Then extended my lease to then get the bait and switch. I was told that they couldn't extend the deadline for calibration. The real question is, put my family at risk to get a car calibrated? This company is the ruthless. I have no problem paying money every other week, but putting me in a legally binding agreement out of leverage in their position is dirty. Scumbags

I called Intoxalock with a question regarding my device and it really floored me how rude the customer service rep was. I was amazed at the impatient's and irritability that I was immediately greeted with. I so look forward to getting this bulky and awkward Intoxalock device out of my vehicle so that I never have to call or deal with Intoxalock again. AVOID THIS COMPANY,

I have been locked out twice because this thing sometimes will require a blow test when the car wasn't running. This could mean I left persons in the car with radio on and engine off. Theres NO reason I should be hit with Missed Test for that reason.

And don't ever have a beer when dining out. This thing will fail you if you blow a 0.03 and you're stranded (although it doesn't report you for this). I could see maybe if the device said "wait 5 minutes and retest" and if BAC is rising THEN make the driver wait longer. Remember it's not illegal to ingest alcohol and then drive a car. It is illegal if your Blood Alcohol level rises above 0.08.

Hate you very much. Thanks for the hilarious email inviting me to continue my intoxalock service AFTER my court order AND for a reduced fee! How nice of you guys. But imma have to go with F*ck you.

DO NOT GO WITH THIS COMPANY, At 1st it was fine, my truck just had a new engine installed and it died starting last week, so apparently in the middle of Corona virus, no work, no food, no money, they are charging me$75 for a "lock out" and another $35 to the shop recalibrating it. This is a HORRIBLE company, go with any ANY other breathalyzer company, just not this one. They will over charge all the time and you're forced to pay it. I'm strongly considering keeping my appointment today and having it REMOVED because there employees are incompetent to no end. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE company.

Would not recommend. Intoxalock is a misleading company. On multiple occasions, I called to have help with my vehicle's device and was given varying information about resetting my vehicle and the included fees. I had to have my car towed 3 times because of this device draining my vehicle. During this COVID-19 pandemic a nationwide, multi-million dollar company continued with the fees showing no remorse for a loyal customer. Terrible.

Well intoxalock has cost me. A lot of cash out of my pocketquestion additional couple hundred in fees that they said they would pay. With a PO number to comp out the $30 recalibration. I had to first get it calibrated within 2 weeks after having it not 2 months. Said I missed a ball. Which I did not. Took me an hour to get ahold of somebody. Then drive quarter mile down the road. And then stop to go to the gift cigarettes at a store. Here in Sonora California. They keep saying that the comp it out and then they get there and they say they don't do that when they have done it they keep choosing from one straw to the next first I going to do it and they're not they don't do it and sometimes they do if they cannot make up their mind what the freaking with straw in their head they want to pick they can't keep their story straight the customer service people are the worst ever they totally suck don't ever do this company they will piss you off go to a different company and Mabel cost you money and time take care. God bless and have a great day. Yours truly *******@gmail.com

Embatrassment
March 11, 2020

I am a DUI attorney and I am embarrassed that I referred some clients over to this operation. They looked professional but they closed down their shop in my town for financial reasons and require my clients to drive over an hour each way to get it serviced. To make matters worse, they refuse to remove their interlock device so that a local interlock company can install their own machine. I called them, spent an hour trying to speak to a human being, and was given the run around.

Until this evening I had been without my truck for a day and a half. Initially I was comforted by a customer service rep Nate. Then he did what everyone there has done. Told me he'd call me back in 20-25 minutes and did now. I frantically tried calling him back as I sat in the service center parking lot. I had replaced the battery in my truck by myself the night before because there service center had the truck for 6 hours and did nothing. After speaking with them at 9 am when they opened I was told they would "try to get to it today." At 2.13pm i called the service center to check on the status and was told "they'd call me back in 30 mins and the vehicle was in the garage being finished up." The problem was that I was sitting in the parking lot looking at my truck when they said this to me. The truck had not moved. I also had left the keys in the cab of the truck the night before. I walked in to the service center and asked how it was going? They said the truck is fine and the engine cranks right up but they couldn't start it because the spare key I had hidden in a magnet box outside the truck for them to access the cab doesn't have a chip. I replied, " that's correct, and I told you where the chipped key was at 9am." I went out to the truck and the let's we're exactly where I left them. I almost drive off. They did not perform the diagnostic they told me they did, they did not pull the truck in the garage like they said they did, they did not communicate with me the way they said they would. I paid $106 and lost almost 2 days of work for them to tell me there was nothing wrong and the new battery I put in solved the problem. I've contacted my bank and reported fraud after paying because I didn't want it to end in a fistfight. Intoxalock has been unreachable during this whole ordeal and could care less that their service centers operate this way. Do yourselves a favor and go literally ANYWHERE else.

Messed up my car
February 18, 2020

Do not use this company. My car used to drive swiftly and amazing and I just got the car 3 months ago. 2.0 Turbo! All the sudden, After the install I now have obvious lag on every gear. I'm sure the company will say "well don't get a dwi then" or "we'll we only connect to the wiring of the starter, it won't effect anything" we'll, you messed my car up. Again. They have no right to completely mess up a persons car. Mine happened to be a very rare and expensive car. They love to call you a "customer" as to rub their stupid product in your face. I will take my time to sue this company for their product and their company recommending the installation company.
