Company is will set appointment and take your $27.50 and then never deliver the part to the mechanic. Then the have the audacity to charge for a no show. Customer service is horribly rude, especially Kayla, and will make you jump through hoops for a refund. They literally have no care that they don't keep appointment times for their customers.
My son has had innumerable problems with Intoxalock. He has done everything he is supposed to do and has been eligible to get it removed for months, but they continuously impose random charges and lockouts. He has tried repeatedly to contact customer service, but every agent he talks to either barely speaks English or states that they've resolved the issue, and it happens again the next month. This company is horrible.
Dealing with these people is actually worse than getting the dui! First I get to my appointment for installation just to be told they have the wrong device for my car... next I get a device installed where the hand held device had a crack going down the center under the black button and I get 2 lockouts following because it was defective. I was told that perfume, body spray, hand sanitizer, menthol cigarettes, air fresheners, toothpaste/mouth wash etc can cause failed tests but never got an answer as to why it goes off when nobody is in the car and it isn't running smh customer service and getting someone who actually understands English is nonexistent and so calling is a waste of time. If you are looking for an interlock company, don't look here!
I have been trying for almost 2 weeks to get a compliance report that I need for the court. Each and every time I am told 24-48 hours, and that it will "now' be expedited... and... nothing. I am then contacted for BASIC information (10 days later) regarding the county and court case number, which should have been requested from the start. Another delay. I was told specifically earlier this week I would have the report no later than Wed (Its Friday today). Each and every time I am on the phone or chat online no less than an hour. Each and every time, they "resolve" the issue and still no report. Yet they have no issue billing me right on time. Had they processed this request in a timely manner, I would not have been billed this last time (device should be removed by now). Sigh. I cannot seem to speak directly to the compliance dept, or get a hold of a supervisor. Its crap. Frustrating and an abuse of paid for services.
Extremely unhappy.
Update: after reading the other reviews I realized the same thing has happened to me. Repeated draining of my battery and being charged for unnecessary lock outs. I wish I would have read the reviews 1st.
Do yourself a favor and go with someone else.
Automated system can't find my account so I have to sit through the entire phone tree to find a way to get through. Service reps repeatedly refuse to let me talk to a supervisor. They repeatedly have told me they sent forms to PennDOT, PennDOT says they never received them--multiple times. They have reported to PennDOT AFTER my 1 year restriction was up--causing still more problems. This has been a horrible experience.
The units are faulty. I don't drink. I do not like alcohol, I haven't since I first tried it. So I rarely ever have a drink. At first it was a great excuse so people wouldn't push drinks on me. I am the sole driver since the one who was charge with this device, cannot drive due to a suspended license, and he hasn't even used the device once. I'm not even the one who has to use it. It's failed me in the middle of a road trip after many passed tests, before the fail, and right after the fail. And now that we're almost finished we received a Vol 11 which is an unauthorized start... how does that even happen? Well idk either, you can't start it without using the intoxalock... the company is bull$#*! and their service reps are the worst customer service employees I've ever met. I've worked in customer service for years, never have I met so many representatives who don't help you. Everything is your fault, intoxalock can do no wrong. It sickening to think about all the people that intoxalock has screwed over.
I only needed the interlock device in my car for 3 months. The employee I initially spoke to put my lease for 7 months but told me it was fine. That I can just call them and remove at any time. Motor vehicles and the courts told me I had completed and that I could remove the device. When I called intoxilock to remove the device they told me I would be charged $180 for early cancellation. That I should of read the fine print on the lease. I would not recommend this company to anyone. Search another company with better reviews in your area.
THE WORST COMPANY I'VE EVER DEALT WITH. The most stressful part of this entire DUI experience has been dealing with this lack of customer service, nevermind support.
This company will nickel and dime you the entire time and not give you a break! I haven't missed a payment in 3 years haven't failed any breath tests or rolling tests. If your battery dies from having this machine in your vehicle (trust me it will) they won't drop the 85 dollar lockout fee. Paid that 4 times already and fighting another one that doesn't even make sense. Didn't do anything outta the ordinary and locked out got one month left! Bull $#*! just taking a hard working person's money even though I quit drinking and obeyed all your stupid rules!
As far as nightmares go, Intoxalock gives, "nightmares", a whole new meaning. I spoke to Mo and Mo told me that it would be smart to get this device before I went to court. Mo asked me for card information and said she would start the process. Mo took $51.64 off of my debit card.
As far as getting this device, I decided to wait until after court to see if I would even need this device. I called back a few days later to let them know and they told me they would cancel my appointment and they would leave the account on hold until after court. I did not want them doing that, but they assured me that they would refund every penny.
After court, I called to let them know I definitely did not need their device and to please cancel the account and refund my money as they had promised. I talked to multiple agents daily after this, because my money was never refunded. I was hung up on and told that they did not know who I spoke to. They put me on hold, asked me if I found out additional information on who I spoke to, and hung up on me.
Finally, a supervisor assured me that my money would be refunded through a goodwill credit. Keep in mind, this was supposed to be a canceled account. I asked how goodwill credit would get back to me in an account that does not exist? Then, they assured me that it was a refund.
When I got off of the phone, I had an email saying that $51.64 was taken out of my banking account and that I was put on autopay. Every agent and supervisor gave me multiple lies and assured me that everything was taken care of. This is the most horrible business that I have ever dealt with in my entire life. As far as ratings, there is nothing low enough that even exists to rate them. This is a horrible company, horrible customer service, and crooks defines this business perfectly.
I was dead was kill my original battery and it killed two new batteries within a week and a half. So I didn't even turn the paperwork in. I told him I wanted nothing to do with your service and to come pick it up and all they seem to do was just want to send bills and listen or care about anything we had to say because they had us by the horn took advantage of the power they were given they used it and are corrupt. Would get them a zero start rating if I could. Yeah my car needs a new starter it's basically brand new and with service before I took it to the The shack they did their business out of
Intoxalock, youre toxic. Try answering a phone and stop with the tech support from india. The minute im able to have this piece of $#*! removed for a better system from a different company the better. If you have mobile service come over here and get it out now so i can arrange for a better system to be installed...
Worst customer service ever. Different answers every time I call. Device has drained 2 batteries within 14 months. If your dui was in another state other than the one your license in make sure they are giving you the right equipment ( camera, or no camera needed) or you will pay for install removal and reinstall of the right equipment. This company does not give a $#*! about you, or your financial situation. Almost became homeless paying for this dui. One bad decision and I've been paying for it for 18 months. Would rather be rotting in jail. At least I would have 3 meals and a cot. This company makes me want to drink. Make sure your last 120 days are perfect. And document it. Document EVERYTHING. GET a lawyer folks and fight the IID installation. Will save you money in the log run.
Customer service is next to non existent, just as well dedicate the whole day to being on the phone with them if you need anything, especially when you're device randomly locks itself out once a month, probably so they can charge you more money and get away with it because you can't talk to anyone about it "I'll send it to someone to review " and it will never go any further then that. Highly don't recommend
Once they have your info, they will harass you over and over again. Their email threats have no way to stop more messages and there is no valid reply address. When calling, they will promise to stop the calls and emails, but they keep coming. If you don't mind being bugged forever with no way to stop them, go ahead and give them what they want - information and complete intrusion of your privacy.
This co. Is a total and absolute scam! It keeps draining my car battery which they charge me every time it goes in to lock out even though it is THEIR fault! They are scammers Kimberly is a moron and the co. Should be terminated by the BBB screw you intoxalock you owe me now 2 $140 batteries for my truck!
This is the worst company ever to exist.
For starters you have to go thru the WHOLE menu to speak with a live agent. The live agents are clueless to any of your compliance information, even when they ask for your court ordered information. Some of the live agents give you conflicting information about your removal date and removal procedures.
For so many entities to be connected, they don't connect. They charge you fees that nobody went over with you about.
They need to have a better device to work with regarding the plastic mouth piece... either provide a mounting device for the unit or a screw in piece. Its very risky to be driving and the mouth piece falls off and you have to find it.
I pray I never be in this situation to have to use this outfit, because it will be a ABSOLUTE NO!
Lastly this company charges ridiculous prices compared to other gigs. This is like the Waldorf Astoria on Interlock Ignition companies.
Go with another company, so you won't need a frustration counselor behind dealing with them!
Seriously, if I could give zero stars, I WOULD! I was supposed to have my home machine in December, it took a month for them to actually get the equipment to me. THEN, it was hell from there on out. They are supposed to deliver you a new handheld unit once a month, here it is, almost August and I've only been shipped my machine 2 times and they lost one of them. But I've had to go to my service center AT LEAST 8-10 times because the calibration days are off depending on if it was mailed or calibrated. Everyone you talk to on the phone besides a VERY select few never have a solution or they talk to you like you're stupid, or they just make up random stuff to hold you over until you call again and then the cycle continues. Seriously, just spend the extra money to get better service than this excuse of a company provides.
These people couldn't care less if you are stranded and in trouble. They charge outrageous fees for every little thing. Please do NOT use this company.
This is a big RIPOFF company! I've paid over $850.00 in violation fees and none have to do with alcohol. And that's not including the charges I was able to get removed. Customer service sucks no one is ever able to give a strait answer. There is absolutely, positively no way I would recommend these crooks to anyone!

Answer: Sale man was very pushy and I was very panicked about loosing my license. He kept calling me after I told him I would give him a call back. No one in this company wants to help you, avoid them.

They also forgot that the people with their device are the paying customers. If you are bad to those that pay your bills, they're going to stop paying you.
