Worst company ever!

Don't even want to give it a 1 star! This company it set up for your battery to constantly die which causes a lock out. They then charge you $75 to reset it. Total scam! Should be out of business.

They will charge you about $200 a month by failing your alcohol level with a falls reading once a month like a clock. Do not sign a contract they are in contact with local enforcement who will protect there's interest. Because they get paid directly. Read about lawsuits against Intoxalock.

I am horrified at this DISHONEST company

They are HORRIBLE just AWFUL to deal with
(WISH I HAD USED SMART START INSTEAD)
Intoxalock they don't tell you about all the HIDDEN fees ONTOP of leasing the device that you blow into that costs $27.50 EVERY 2 weeks

PLUS ANOTHER FEE FOR ROADSIDE assistance and sleeve lease fee( all ADD ONS) PLUS
And every month ANOTHER $20 to calibrate
And PROCESSING data fee each month another $3.21
They rip you off
Customer service has been APPALLING to say the least
I have to watch my account every day
Because they do AUTO PAYMENTS ONLY
They charge for everything and then if you catch them and ask for refund it takes WEEKS
I HAVE NEVER IN MY LIFE HAD TO DEAL WITH SHADY people like this

I have to get my car worked on this month. Three times I've had to bring it in. Intoxalock has no way to override the breathalyzer. So, ever time the mechanic works on it it locks out. Intoxalock waves the 70 dollar fee (as the should) but I still have to pay 20 dollars to the service center when it locks out. So that is 60 dollars this month I have had to pay due to bad design. I called for a refund and Rep told me there was nothing they can do. Go with Draeger if you can they have codes the mechanic can use to override the breathalyzer so it does not lock out. Unfourntunatly Draeger is not in my area. This company doesn't care about bleed you of money until you write a bad review. So here I am... Will change review if refund. Otherwise this is going up everywhere!

Terrible company

Intoxalock might very well be the most horrible company I've ever had to deal with. I was not required to have the interlock device in my vehicle, but I went ahead and put it in because my license was going to be suspended. But I ended up taking it back out before I even had my license suspended because it was such a nightmare dealing with these people. And now, three months later they are still trying to bill me for a service I never signed up for. I never signed the contract. I have an email saying the service has been canceled. I have spent a lot of time online and on the phone talking to customer service. It doesn't seem to matter to these people. I had to change my credit card number, and dispute the charge with my credit card company. And I just today got another notification from intoxalock that my payment was declined. Absolutely ridiculous. These people are Crooks. Do not deal with them unless you absolutely absolutely have to. Go with any other company. They lied to me before I even had the device installed. The place where I had the device installed said they get nothing but complaints from intoxalock customers and they were going to file a complaint in my case because I was flat-out lied to by the intoxalock customer service person just to get me to have the device installed. Zero stars for Intoxalock

Go somewhere else. They try to swindle into extra charges if you don't follow their procedures exactly. Way over priced and complicated. A complete rip off. I had them for 30 days and it was a month too long. Lousy customer service and b. S. about state laws requiring this and that. The better business bureau needs to investigate. They're my next call.

Do not use this business if you need an interlock system in your car, EVER. It's impossible to reach anyone who can actually help you. I've gotten at least FIFTEEN lock outs in 9 months because the device randomly loses connection to gps. All of my lock outs were not my fault and I've had to get it serviced time and time again. It's a hassle and expensive. I requested a new device three times and they won't send it, they say they are going to but don't. I also got into a car accident (someone rear ended me) and I can't get my car fixed until it's out because they won't work with me. They're a bunch of low life people trying to scam you for money. They don't actually care about you or your car or your time or anything of the sort. DO NOT USE INTOXALOCK

Never use this company

I have had this device for 12 months waiting to get removed. I have not had any alcohol in 20 years. I did get a dui but it was drug related. Makes no sense. This company has very shady way of doing business. They take money from my account all the time and I am going to look into this matter with an attorney.

When dealing with a DUi, there is a lot you have to navigate. Your own personal responsibility, your relationship with alcohol, and the damage you've done to the community at large. One thing you don't need to have to deal with, is a sketchy and shady interlock company, that will pinch you for every penny, especially when it comes to pre-scheduled maintenance, and hitting you up with Fine after Fine despite the fact that you had already made your scheduling time clear. This is the kind of company that won't respond to phone calls, if you're lucky enough to get someone, or on their ineffective app, which they tout constantly with their robot caller system, get it somehow never gets through. I advise anyone who has the ability, not to use this horrible company. They will swindle, lie, and cheat every step of the way. Dui's are serious, and you should reevaluate everything about your life after you receive one, or the last thing you should do, is add some money grubbing, horrible, all for profit corporation to your list of troubles when you're dealing with this a life-changing dilemma. Don't drink and drive, but if you are caught up in the system, evaluate all of your internal and external problems, and then gain your driving freedom, Without the use of this swindling horrible company.

READ YOUR LEASE CAREFULLY!

Seriously, you need to read your lease agreement. One week after your final payment your lease will expire. If you need to extend the lease, you'll instantly be charged a new lease fee and a setup fee, despite that your account is already active in their system. Furthermore, they charge you monthly for a "device protection plan," yet if the device is ever damaged or lost, you still owe them the full cost of the device - so what's the protection plan for except additional revenue and profits? Section 11 of the lease is particularly interesting, in which they state that if you ever disagree with any aspect of the lease, you are in default, and must immediately return your device, pay a lease cancellation fee, AND continue paying through the end of your original lease. So... if you're continuing to pay through the end of the lease, what's the cancellation fee for?

First experience ever…

Customer service here at this company does not exist. After Colleen and schedule an appointment to have my device installed and give them my credit card number, that's where it stops they got the money and you get no service other than a device that is faulty and flawed. If you wish to receive customer service I need to ask him questions. Call the line like you are a new customer, and they will answer. My device registered me positive for being under the influence and then four minutes later registered me clean, how does that make sense. Overlook I Bluetooth a device started at my vehicle, I was drinking some tea and then the device went off I blew I was Jodie one point over. Four minutes later I blew clean, how does that make sense. I called up the company as I was a new customer and of course they after the phone like they're going to receive money. I explained my situation the representative acknowledged it and said that she understands is it a refund will be issued. Which leads me to assume that I am not the only one. I called back for my refund spoke with a supervisor within 10 seconds I was told no, don't know how she looked at my file that quickly but OK. The only thing that I could think is to acknowledge that their device has a flaw is to acknowledge that the system does not work and that's credibility to the courts. Even though I put myself in the situation which I do acknowledge my money is good customer service should be as good. The system comes highly not recommend it.

I have had TWELVE "Violation 11 unauthorized start" lockouts in ten months. Twelve! It's a scam. I'm doing nothing wrong to cause the lockout and they agree. They will not refund your actual money, only "credit your Intoxalock account" forcing you to stay on with them if you wish to recoup your money they STOLE in fraudulent lockout and reset fees. They threw a $350+ credit on my account only a few months ago after numerous "inspections" at my service center (which they do not allow you to record or view any records of... only tell you it "looks fine") AND entirely replacing the whole ignition interlock system. The same manufactured lockouts continue and they blew through that credit and now continue to steal money directly from my bank account and then offer to "credit back to my Intoxalock account" once again. This is the ultimate scam. They KNOW customers do not have 4-8 hours per month to try to track down an actual human being on their customer service phone line, so customers end up signing into the mobile app to reset the lockout at $80/pop (as is the automated recording they play on repeat for the entirety of the 30-45 min average wait times to actually speak to someone on the phone). I'm currently in the process of working with my state to have Intoxalock removed from the list of certified vendors. They won't listen or change until you directly impact their profits. Additionally I'm filing against them with the attorneys general office in my state. I have 10+ months of video documentation proving these are fraudulent lockouts and allllllll the abhorrent fees I've paid because of them. I imagine it will end up being a class action suit and my ultimate goal is to shut them down on a national level.

Worst

This company it the worst. Had my intoxalock for a year. One time my breathalyzer was "clogged" the day right being recalibrated. I sucked and got a mouth full of nasty gross yuck. When I emailed intoxalock about this I got no response. 3 other times after recalibration the thing would tell me I wasn't blowing hard enough no matter what I did. Again, nothing from intoxalock.
You pay them upwards of 90 dollars a month plus the cost of all recalibration. On top of that they offer nothing for THEIR mistakes.

Incompetent Liars

When I first got my device installed, I was told that installation would be $150, and that I would be given a credit of $50, making the total $100. When I arrived at the place that installed it, they told me $200.00, and the person that I spoke to on the phone had no authorization to credit me anything. Now that it's time for me to remove it, I keep getting different answers of who I need to speak to to get it removed. In the mean time, I still need to make my payments if I want to keep driving my car. Crooks!

We just got it installed- beeped most of the way home. Next day, did the exact breathing and truck won't start now. Called the CS #- which by the way is INCORRECT ON THE DEVICE!?!- 1st lady barely spoke english, had no clue how to help us... called another # and she informed us that it's probably defective and that we'd need TO TOW THE TRUCK BACK TO THE SHOP WHERE IT WAS INSTALLED!? After she had me disconnect it simply by unscrewing it and waiting 20 seconds. Her first sentence to me was, don't worry I'll have it running within half hour... she said the message "try again and breathe harder" means it's probably defective. We have to pay for the tow and a new install and then " they'd reimburse us"!?! There has to be an alternative company that makes a similar device! Awful to put people through the stress. I will be contacting the state of MN to get answers ASAP.

My Alternator was going out in my car while driving. There was absolutely no way I knew this was going to happen. And my wasn't supplying enough power"while trying to get my vehicle to a safe place to park" to the device. They still charged me a rolling lock out fee of 75.00. Absolutely ridiculous.the device is crap. Do not go with this company

A company if this nature stealing money from poor and hard working people should stop. My son had tried to amend his record but this is not the hobest place to handle. We are not in a third wirld country yet where all kind if crines exist. So I pray and continue to hel my son with his complam with Intoxalock while pursuing with our House Reoresentative on this case.
