They offer you all of these great deals to get you to sign up with their company for your IID. DONT do it! I switched from lifesaver thinking I was getting a better deal, then I found out on top of the 70 a month I have to pay for the device I also have to pay 30 out of my own pocket every 2 months for recalibration, which was included with lifesafers price, ao really I'm paying 85 a month, now I'm almost done with my time with this device and they just told me I have to pay 30 for 2 months of recalibration and pay 70 for a new whole month of service when I get my device uninstalled 15 days after that…So I'm paying for 2 months of service just for 15 days, then they tell me I have to pay 150 for the uninstall and on top of that there is a 68 dollar administration fee when you end the contract… WOW, truly a greedy scamming company. Once you sign their contract there is nothing you can do. Go with a different company!

I had an intoxilock device installed in my car at the end of May it shorted out my battery and I was absolutely never able to drive my car until I had the device installed.
Eric my "" customer service agent was so quick to sell me the product and promise everything and offer discounts none of which actually happened then he never responded to any email nor did his boss. And intoxilock customer service is in India and nobody there has any idea how to help you. In fact they have flat out lied to me because they don't have any facts.
The intoxilock device is extremely difficult to use it requires you to blow as hard as you can for six seconds out and then three seconds in and then another three seconds out which is absolutely impossible. As a result I was always locked out of my car. The device requires you to blow like every couple minutes so when you're driving around and you literally cannot blow hard enough to keep your device moving it is a safety hazard.
I was promised a weekly rate and the actual rate that they are charging my card is double that which I was promised. There are many additional fees!
I am extremely unhappy with intoxilock and I had the device uninstalled. Intoxilock was a complete waste of money and time

I wish I had looked up the reviews first. Worst mistake ever. Have it on for 6 days and already have me in lockdown for 3 violations that the installer never heard of. Didn't use my car for 2 days and put me in lockdown because it said my unit wasn't charged enough! Not my fault and no way to charge it. What do people do when they go on vacation and don't use/start their car for a few days or a week? Apparently you can't do that and then they want $75 to get it recalibrated. So you're getting penalized for not driving you car! Makes no sense. Now this 3rd violation said that the devise was disconnected! I had it recalibrated after the bs low battery situation, drove it home. Then next morning was locked out again saying it was disconnected. No one was even in the car or tried to start it. Complete money making scam! And customer service sucks! No one answers and then the last guy legit hung up on me. Go somewhere else! Anywhere is better than them. I have 6 months and 1st week is complete hell! If I don't get satisfaction, I'm going somewhere else

Predatory company, terrible customer service, exhorbitant fees. After paying an arm and a leg for over 2 years, they still look for ways to violate your terms of contract and charge you 3000 to replace the breathalyzer.

I went into my car to use the cigarette lighter cause I needed to air up my bike tires with an electric pump and little did I know that turning the key to the on position activates the device where now you have to blow in to it. No one explained that to me at the time of installation and neither is it in the instructions they give you in the lockout section. So then I had to go all the way to the place pay 20 bucks and get it recalibrated and then they charged me 80 dollars. They said it was a valid lock out. How the $#*! is that valid? Anyway, they escalated the call and the manager said there was nothing they could do. The place is a rip off! They re just out to get money. Didn't do business with them research other IID places. Your lawyer might recommend them but that's probably cause he gets referral fees from them. I wanna give them negative stars cause they suck.

This is a horrible product
May 27, 2021

This is a horrible product. I had one installed in my vehicle for over a year before switching to another brand. I won't mention the brand I switched to, because I don't want to sound like a shill. I've had the misfortune of having used different breathalyzers from sheriff's deputies, state troopers, jails, work release, pre-trial services, probation and home detention, and this "brick of spit" is by far the most shoddy, cumbersome and impossible to please POS I've had to deal with. And it killed my battery, which they took no responsibility for. This sentiment was shared by the dozens and dozens of people in my classes, "counseling" sessions and institutions of incarceration that I've dealt with over the last 22 months. I had so many problems with it telling me to "blow harder" and "invalid sample" that I came close to blacking out trying to appease this thing. I was locked out three continuous days while traveling even after another (third or fourth) new unit was installed. After constantly calling them I was finally put through to a "supervisor" after getting no help from "customer service" and explained that the unit was causing me to have near-accidents and posed a liability to my safe driving when he said "When can we schedule to have it removed?" I made an appointment to do so with Intoxalock's authorization at which time the service company that installed, calibrated and removed it told me they were dropping their affiliation with Intoxalock because of too many complaints and problems. One week later I received a letter from the DMV telling me that my driving privileges were suspended and Intoxalock did not have the authority to order its removal prior to the court sentenced period. Did Intoxalock not know this? How could they not? Horrible product. Horrible "customer service" and unethical business practices. I highly recommend you don't waste money, time, driving frustration and danger with this inferior POS. I wish I hadn't.

I've had this device for a week and have a violation which is going to cost me $105, $75 to my account and 30 to re-calibrate at the shop
I called to ask what the viol 11, meant and I was told that it was because I turned the key before blowing. No one told m that if I turned the key that it would be a violation and cause a lock out.
I'm really upset, I don't have that type of money to pay for any violations.

This company is so awful, I would not wish them on my worst enemy. Not only are they impossible to reach via phone, they will charge you even after removal, and don't do anything when their device ruins your vehicle. I will be seeing them in court.

If you must have a device installed do not use this money grabbing company! At every turn you will be iel Hrcharged for lockouts and calibration fees! The customer service is crap, very unprofessional and they speak to you ina very discourteous manner. If you have to pay the least you should be treated like a fee paying customer. There are other companies out there. Take your business elsewhere.

Choosing this company was the second worst decision I've ever made. The first being getting myself in this situation to begin with. Before you are an actual customer you can call and get right through. They were very nice when answering my questions. I thought ok maybe this company isn't so bad. Boy was I wrong. As soon as the interlock was installed in my vehicle and I signed the lease everything changed. I tried to call them about a form they are supposed to complete for Penn Dot. I was on hold for 30 minutes before anyone answered. I finally got this guy that could barely speak English and he argued with me saying that's not there responsibility to fill out the form. It states right on the paper they must complete it. I ended up having to call Penn Dot and they gave me a number for the dui compliance team. I called them and they had to contact Intoxolock to get them to complete the form. When I received the email with the completed form some of my info was wrong. So I've been trying to get ahold of them again with no luck so far. While I was on hold I looked over the lease agreement. Beware of fees they don't tell you about. When i called originally i asked what the total would be for the entire year. She quoted me a price and I asked her if there was any additional charges for this and she said no. Turns out there are to the tune of 300 more dollars. Even the guy at the garage that installed the interlock told me that this company has a ton of complaints. I wish I would have done my research and went with someone else. To late now hopefully I can make it through the next year with a shady company and be done.

All my issues are that their $#*!ty equipment drains batteries like a vampire. Never blew a violation. My battery died. I put in the service notification, replaced my battery. No violation, but these people still reported me as a violation because my battery died. State decided to cancel my license... because their equipment killed my battery. Contacted Intoxalock " customer service ". They agreed I had no violation. They would take care of it next business day. No response back 3 days later. Called a Judy today. She read me an email from the dmv. I asked for a copy of that email. Old Judy told by her higher ups not to forward that important information to me. Just for fun, when I asked why they hadn't contacted me with new information, it was because they figured I'd cal them back

Thieves and liers
April 19, 2021

INTOXALOCK DEVICE, drains car batteries, destroyed my cars electrical system, company has so many hidden fees, and tried to charge me over $800 for 4 month usage. Another company, $200 more would have paid for the whole year. Their company in ILLINOIS was busted for COMMERCE and COMMERCIAL FRAUD. Go figure. Don't trust TRUSTPILOT's 4.6 RATING, ALL OTHER RATING AD's rate them below 2. Their average rating is actually 1.15. READ THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU COMPLAINTS ON INTOXALOCK. You'll be glad you did. You'll also see that they have a lot of LAW SUITS against them. They don't back up their product because when it comes to paying damages their devise done to the car, they won't pay. JUST READ THR BBB COMPLAINTS. Just say... GOOGLE, BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU COMPLAINTS-INTOXALOCK. YOU'LL WONDER WHY THEY ARE STILL IN BUSINESS. BUNCH OF PIRATES RIPPING EVERYONE OFF.

The only thing I can say that is slightly positive is they make sure and take their $105 plus $40 lockout fee every month. I had complications from a surgery and didn't drive for 5 months but they still got their money. Not only did I have to replace my battery but now they are saying I have to tow my vehicle to the service center to get it recalibrated. I have had nothing but problems from day one and I would strongly suggest to start clear from this horrible company. #1 Go with someone cheaper. #2 Go with a customer service that actually does something instead of leaving you on hold for 1.5 hours. #3 Go with a company that doesn't straight up LIE and say they are transferring you to a 'senior technician' and just put you back into the que because senior technicians aren't even a thing.
I wasn't aware that there were other options for interlock companies and it's worth it to pay the $300 and something dollars to get it removed and go with someone else. Oh. I forgot to mention that it was $315 and a 45 minute drive to get it installed in the first place.

I had my device removed today after 3 months. Despite the installer providing instructions and a manual, trust me you will have issues in the beginning with the operation. You will be stressed out and looking for help. The customer service is terrible for a number of reasons. It generally takes about 20 minutes for someone to answer the phone. On various issues I received either conflicting information or inaccurate information. They refuse to transfer you to a supervisor or the compliance dept. The device itself will drain your battery. I had to replace the battery on a 2020 MDX due to the device which thankfully was under warranty. Starting the car after driving was a continual problem and I got no help fixing the problem. I eventually bought a solar charger that seemed to help. The biggest problem is with removal. NOTE: Based on my experience it is virtually impossible to have the device removed on your court appointed date. Because of that they charge you for an extra month and do not prorate the lease extension. They charge a $70 fee to end your lease? There was also a $112 removal fee from the installer. NO MATTER WHAT COMPANY YOU CHOSE UNDERSTAND THE REMOVAL PROCESS COMPLETELY PRIOR TO YOUR END DATE. I DOUBT ANY COMPANY COULD BE WORSE.

Have had Intoxalock almost a year, had NUMEROUS problems with the unit and their customer service is HORRIBLE. When I first contacted them to inquire about pricing and installation I was told the installation would be free and the service would run around $90 per month. Scheduled installation at Car Toys in Hurst, lost a days work waiting for unit to be installed then when I pick my truck up I'm hit with a bill for $165 plus another $130 for shipping. Had to have my truck for work so I coughed up the money then after several phone calls and bad customer reviews they finally refunded my money. Today I try to start my truck and the unit keeps displaying "Waiting for RB to reset" then does a 5 minute countdown, then repeats the process again. Supposed to work today and am out over $1100 for not being able to make it to job. Called Intoxalock for tech support and they say the unit needs to be replaced, that I have to have my truck towed AT MY EXPENSE to Car Toys to have the unit replaced. Car Toys has units in stock "for new customers" but Intoxalock won't allow them to assign them to an existing customer that is has a faulty unit and is unable to go to work because of their faulty unit. They tell me I have to wait at least another two days for them to ship a new unit out and schedule replacement. Bottom line is I'm going to be out at least three days work along with tow charges because of their faulty equipment and their horrible customer service. They have equipment on hand for new customers foolish enough to sign on with them, but they won't allow it to be used to make things right with existing customers
