Never ending billing

I had a voluntary device installed in a family members car. This person has some pulmonary issues and was unable to generate enough respiratory effort to make the device work. The device was installed for only a period of days. The local technician was very appropriate and friendly when working with the family member however there are multiple schedule changes and delays.
I contacted the main company and asked for the device to be removed which it was however billing on my credit card which was set up automatically continued
I called and got shuffled through multiple people at the national level taking hours to try to get this resolved. Apparently the device was not sent back by their local technician and they thought it was appropriate to continue to charge me for their technician to not mail it back
Each month I called explain the case there is no record of it being removed they call the local technician who confirmed it was removed and that she just forgot to mail it back after months of this occurring they asked me to go to the local technicians place to mail the device back otherwise they were going to charge me $1500 for the device
Despite talking to multiple representatives discontinued and emails stay my account was late and overdue kept coming in charges kept happening I ultimately had to report my credit card as lost to prevent this never ending billing

I always pay my bills on time and take pride in Paying my way in life. This was wrong and they failed to take responsibility for their own technicians and resolve this problem
Beware of automatic payments I may never end

Thieving scum

I have to have this device on my car for 5 years. After the first year of use and thousands of dollars charged to our families bank accounts, the car Is not starting anymore. I pass the test on the device, I have a button starter so I push the brake petal down and push the button to start the car and it will not ever start. If you don't use it for around 2 hours it might start again. I have had to have my car towed 3 times and have been stuck in my car for hours in random areas where I go and it doesn't start. They did the entire intoxalock wiring in the car eventually and it worked for about 2 weeks without problem then now it doesn't work again so I'm just not going to use my car and then I have no transportation all because of this device. I don't know what to do because I can't even afford a used car to buy and drive without the device and risk getting in further trouble with the law.

They will charge your account for wrongful chargers and put you through hell to try to get a refund. You will have to call every day for a month straight to get a refund they keep telling you is being processed. They charge your card on file hoping you won't notice then transfer your calls endlessly, making you re explain your situation to each new person you speak to. They REFUSE to transfer you to a supervisor even though they are the only ones who can actually do anything to help. And even then it's a 1 in 50 chance that a supervisor will actually do what they said they would do. This company is filled the worst people alive.

This company has the worst customer service out of any service that I ever had in doing business. You can never get in contact with anyone they all about your money once you sign up for their program. They start digging in your pocket with hidden fees. This is definitely a money grabbing company with the worst customer service I've ever experienced I don't understand why this company is still in business they are not a local company in the state that I live in and you can never get in contact with anyone without having to be on the phone for 45 minutes to an hour and a half. They have a 24-hour roadside assistance that you pay for a monthly so if anything goes wrong with your vehicle are their old faulty devices you supposed to be able to contact them it takes two to three days to contact them by then you are in violation with the DMV. They charge you for everything that has nothing to do with drinking and driving and they have a hidden fee for the calibration that's $25 every time you go to the service center to get your device calibrated. This company should not be in business.

Horrible company

I'd give Intoxalock zero stars if I could have that option. When I started with this company I had a very nice lady and then went to hell.
Their customer service people are hard to understand.
The device will fail you after blowing all zeros. But somehow when you fail and reblow immediately your BAC is lower or back to zeros.
It has costed me a extra $100.00 THREE times now plus the time and gas to get to the service center.
I was told I could dispute charges, then was told it'll cost $70.00 an hour for the service center to inspect it if faulty, the service center has NEVER done an inspection as there isn't anything to inspect. They just pull the data and it sends to the company.
It's $25.00 to get my data report emailed to me. Thats for each one so ANOTHER $75.00 each time in order to dispute charges.
This company will rob you left & right and they have you right where they want you! $150.00 for early removal, $90.00 to uninstall, and another $90.00 to reinstall new device. I want out of this company! $200.00 in 4 days time is ridiculous but I have to prove it's a faulty device... Hello look at the numbers and time and tell me it's not faulty! Lawyer is working on this as I give up on what to do as I have to go to work but it's costing me more to go to work!

INTOXALOCK IS A SCAM. They have absolutely no clue what's going on and will scam you. DO NOT PICK THEM. This is now the 3rd official issue I have had with them. Michael David with their "front line" is rude and incredibly unhelpful.

They sent an email on 9/2 advising my camera wasn't positioned correctly. I think it was my window shade, I live in Las Vegas and it's a million degrees. I must have blown into it without realizing it was up so they emailed me and claimed to give me the opportunity to fix the issue. I made sure to take down the shades every time.
THE VERY NEXT DAY the dmv sent me a notice advising I got extended 6 months because I tampered with my device AND NO ONE THAT IVE TALKED TO CAN TELL ME WHAT HAPPENED. When I said I wanted a call back the next day from someone who could tell me something he told me I wouldn't receive one. He also told me it would take all night to go through my files and he wouldn't do that.

Please don't pick this company for your interlock, they will screw you over.

Got stuck in the middle of no where with this thing and was almost robbed as a woman on the side road. This thing shut down my car and gave me error codes that apparently not even the supervisors knew existed. If you get this device I garentee you'll get stuck and put yourself in danger because this device malfunctions all the time. I had my kid in the car frightened for our lives because this thing left us stranded because of a malfunction that the supervisors couldn't even explain

I don't use intoxalock, but my brother does. This company is an absolute scam. It takes hours to get a customer service rep to even answer the phone, and when they do finally answer, if they actually address a situation, whatever resolution is promised never happens. And since you can never talk to the same representative, the next rep denies that the previous resolution ever even happened. Clearly, they don't do email so that they can't ever be held accountable. Their business model is clearly this-- rack up as many charges as possible thru lockouts of any sort they can orchestrate, including false alcohol readings, so that they can extend the requirement for an interlock device, and lie, lie, lie, deflect, deflect, deflect. Law enforcement should investigate, likely under RICO statutes covering organized crime.

Go with lifesafer!

I just paid $500 to transfer vehicles and switch companies from lifesafer to this! What a mistake. I can never blow in it correctly, the timing has to be perfect. I never had issues with lifesafer, if u didn't blow correctly it says abort, doesn't trigger lights and horns. How in the hell r u not supposed to have a panic attack and blow for 8 seconds correctly with ur lights and horn going off while driving!

THIS COMPANY WILL DRAIN YOU OF EVERY PENNY THEY CAN! The Costumer Service Department will have you on hold for 20-30 minutes and then say they can't help you but charge you $75 to reset the device.

Stay FAR FAR away from this company. They will steal your money with no remorse. They will make everything as difficult as possible and make your life a living hell. Most of us are trying to get our lives together and straightened out, however this pos company does not give af. I received a faulty device right out the box. Customer service is not on the same page and they will tell you something different every time. Canceling the lease even if youre not required to go through asap has been a nightmare for not only the consumer, but also for my probation officer.

I've called at least 6 times notifying your company that my vehicle was stolen I've been told several different stories on how to get my vehicle back in compliance as the calibration was missed. Now I have possession of the vehicle had the vehicle serviced for calibration by tow as requested and now I have to call again tomorrow because I am locked out they have no empathy for people who are victims and I already notified DMV of the status of the vehicle not being in my possession. My next steps will be to obtain legal advise in the matter since the company is refusing to work with me and getting my vehicle back into compliance for my license l.

This device has ruined 2 batteries

The device ruins your cars electric system. They aslo will claim you have missed 3 tests in a row without the device ever going off then you get home it goes off u blow in cpass and come out the next morning to lockout message. All so this crooked company can charge you 75 dollars to start ur vehicle. They also dont give you an accurate install price nor an accurate monthly price. Anyone else looking to join a lawsuit against intoxalock lmk ill be filing September 12th 2022(the day after i can have it removed) also dont bother calling customer service you will here a company wide read out of approved lines they can say no matter how many times you tell them you understand there statement they will just continuously repeat themselves and not listen to the real issues going on. Also if the device is faulty you will pay for a replacement

Terrible Company

This company is all about taking your money. My device was faulty, kept giving a failed reading and they never offered to pay back the money I had to pay to get it out of lock-out. All they do is charge, charge, charge, fees, fees, fees. This company needs to go out of business.

Criminal business practice

This company should be reported to the local government that they're based in. They will automatically tack on charges you didn't agree to (illegal) keep billing you for those charges after you've already removed the device and closed your account, and it's literally impossible to speak with someone on the phone if you're already a current or past customer. I was told if I didn't fill out some form and email it to them, they would just continue to charge me. F that, I let my credit card company know and they refunded the last month of charges and will be blocking any future charges from this sleazy organization. Go with literally anyone else, this company is scum at the bottom of a trash can.

False lockout

Sitting here having my device removed after 8 months of nothing but nonsense. The device will kill your battery. I bought a brand new one and it killed it about once every two weeks. Once you get your battery going they will put you in a lockout because your battery died. No problem though because you can just reset your lockout for the low price of $79.50. Customer service is incredibly bad, they are clearly reading from a script and if you deviate or ask a question they are frozen with no idea how to reply. One time they told me to disconnect my battery because the device was malfunctioning, and doing that put me into a lockout and I had to fight tooth and nail to get the fee waived. They will put you in an endless hold loop, hoping you give up. Don't give up. Get a portable battery charger. Be vigilant. Drive your car every single day. Stay one step ahead of them. I've never been happier to be done with any company more than I am to be finished dealing with Intoxalock.

SCAM

I haven't had a drivers license since 1988 when I was 18 years old, so I was very surprised when I called Intoxalock and was told that "I'm looking at your record right now and you qualify to get your license back after you show proof that an ignition interlock has been installed in what ever car you are driving". So, I immediately paid Intoxalock $80. Then another $37. Then the next day I paid the shop they made me an appointment at [Rippin Rides in New Cumberland] another $325 to install the unit... Now I was told by PennDOT that I'm not eligible for this or any kind of driver's license, so now I have to take the car back to the shop that installed the ignition interlock and pay them a 2nd time to remove it... This Company is basically running a SCAM and I'm embarrassed to admit that they scammed me...

Complete rip off!

This company is a complete Rip off they will lie to you and Steal Your Money! Do not fall prey to their scams. Customer service is very rude, the rep was working from home and his dog was in the background barking very loud. Money was taken out of my bank account for a device HMU that was never installed or delivered to me. I have been calling this company for the past 48 hours just to be passed around to different departments. This company in need to be investigated, make sure you do your homework before releasing your bank card over to these crooks. Read the reviews and make sure to watch the youtube device as well. I am considering contacting the attorney general of Texas. Buyers beware! Do not trust this company.

Scam!

Avoid at all costs. READ YOUR COURT PAPERWORK CAREFULLY. I realized after they had spammed me with mail and I finally signed that they were not even an approved company by the Court.
They will nickle and dime you every chance they get, and are offended when you ask for an explanation as to what random $1-5 charges are for.
It is nearly impossible to speak with someone on the phone, and If you can reach someone expect to be interrupted and talked to rudely 99% of the time.
Last but not least, after your device is approved to be and legally removed, THEY WILL CONTINUE TO TRY TO CHARGE YOU FOR "ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE" AND MISSED CALIBRATIONS. THEY ARE SCAM ARTISTS PREYING ON PEOPLE AT THEIR LOW POINTS. AVOID!
