Having an overhead light above your ID is a no-no, that results in a bright ball of light on your ID. Place your ID in a lighted room but over to the side.
I usually fumble trying a new system, however ID.Me provided step by step process to follow and I was able to get the documents needed
The first one ran me in circles for no reason, then hung up on me after going through the entire process. The second person could not hear me unless i screamed, LITERALLY SCREAMED, when i could hear very loud background noise from her end, then she said it was me(not one person had a issue with me all day, before AND after) This is by far the WORST SERVICE i have ever encountered and i will NEVER recommend this TRASH to anyone for ANY SINGLE THING.
HORRIBLE! In establishing an account, one does need a LIVE PERSON to assist them. It's not a FRIENDLY device and AI can truly FRUSTRATE CLIENT.
All I wanted to do was find my disability rating, and I has to go thru all this bs.

Well I had a lot of hard time I'm not very computer savvy I call the lady there and took an hour and a half to get her and she wasn't help with all she was really hateful then I waited 2 hours and 14 minutes and finally got a hold of another lady which was the bomb she's the best very professional and very helpful and I think of so much
Your requirements are stringent and I guess that's a good thing. However, for people that don't have a mobile phone or for people whose bank documents don't show the Social Security number…. It's quite a pain in the neck to use your system. I imagine it's even worse for people who live abroad and don't even have a US bank account or a US phone number at all. You guys should really come up with a strategy to make things easier for such kind of people.
ID.me has too much information on people. I was forced to use it. Government coercion to pay their cronies who run ID.me. I despise it with every fiber of my being.
It was easy to go through the process, and learn how to get things done.
This portal to government information asks for permission to sell or give away your data. And the default looks like NO, but it is actually YES!
I got locked out due to to many tries. ID me is aware of issue and they nor their tech dept could figure out how to unlock my account

Gather the list of require documents, took pictures, upload them, It's a process once you do it. You move to next level of communication.

It was a good experience. It took me a few tries as I am not real familiar with this type of set up.
But it ended well, and I gave myself a pat on my back and a "Well Done!"
