I had to set up my account with ID.me to log in to a government service. The process was fast, painless and secure.

This process was tedious but felt secure. The only real problem was knowing how to return to the previous browser using an iPhone... the process involved a photo and a selfie. Then you needed to somehow get yourself back to the original window without getting dumped off. I don't know why/how but it eventually worked. I 'm glad for the new online capability but hope to never lose my password and hope to avoid this in the future.

I started the process on a laptop, then during it, and following instructions, switched to my smartphone for photos and biometrics, then back again. I may not have had to go back to the laptop, but I couldn't find the tab I needed on the phone, or else I inadvertently deleted it. It was a bit confusing, and I'm not a total slouch with technology, probably average.
