I pay quarterly taxes to two different states, the IRS and check into the SSA website frequently. ID.me makes it simple and lets me take care of business without having to go through several authentication steps. The time and and process that ID.me saves me is a most valuable tool.
I provided my driver's license to the website but then they wanted a selfish. Once I reluctantly took a selfie, they said it wasn't a match. I don't that because I haven't changed in a year. I provided 2 documents that was required but still I didn't meet the requirements. Making this difficult and redundant makes people not want to even bother getting into whatever website that requires ID.me or any other 2 step verification process. After an hour, FINALLY I was able to get into the website & finish my ID.me verification. The video call was very easy and the gentleman who I had was very professional & made the rest of the process easy. Thankfully.
It was very discouraging at first as everything I put in they would put wrong email wrong password it took like 2 1/2 hours and then they would say they had to lock me out because I tried too many times I tried too many times because they kept locking me out was not very easy to do but hopefully it went through OK I'm waiting to hear that everything was settled very much anxiety
I wasn't able to access my account with the used ID and password I had on file and had to reset which took a while. I'm not computer savvy but I got through it.
ID.me doesn't work. It took me 4 tries to finally get logged in. By the way, that is normal for ID.me. It never works on the first try. To give me a better experience, debug ID.me and fix the problems so it only takes one try to get logged in.
Setting up an account is not an easy process for a senior citizen. Many slow, tedious steps involved, many site changes, photos to upload, video selfie to upload, email verification, phone verification. Be prepared to have assistance & dinner already in the slow cooker.

The setup process was not too complicated, but could prove challenging to people not experienced with technical processes or do not have access to a computer, etc. Once setup, it is easily used.
Hard to navigate and find exactly what you're looking for. Once it's found and you describe what you're looking for and save I can't find how to get back to saved documents. Also I listed 4 items I was checking g on and the web only recognized one. I realize this site works hard to cut down on becoming confused and frustrated. So I'm not bashing. Just wish it was easier to navigate.
It's hard to get into with all the stuff you have to do so you can use the website. It should not be that hard getting there so you can do things online.
Experience unbelievable for VA.kept getting Error on your portal.completed thru to document download. Then your system came up with an error on the system side.kicked me to a AI chat.which was not any help.ended up frustrated and signed out.trying to use QuickSubmit is a joke. I'll try going to a Regional Office for help submitting my DD 214's for Disability claim pending.
I went through the process which walked me through step by step and it was super easy. It's a trustworthy site. I would definitely recommend it to anybody.
Why do you have to spend 30 minutes to log in and the no avenue to get this done. All I want to do is order C-pap supplies. That Denver acquisition is a joke. I called 2 a day for 2 weeks, I never spoke to a person. Put on hold for 30 minutes then disconnect.

Everything is way too complicated for senior citizens. We don't all work on computers. We don't know how to do pictures how to do all this stuff and there's nobody to help us nobody to answer the phone you want us to do online chat, which is nothing but more complications. It's just the same old thing everywhere you go no good customer service.
