This site is easy to access! I provided the data they needed for ID, and I felt confident that this is secure and I will not be compromised. The data they need is MINE, it will remain mine... it will become no one else!
If you are not tech savvy in using your phone with your computer you will experience difficulty or switching back and forth between screens.
Verification is provided by taking photos of your driver's license and then uploading it to ID.me. Then, after that, you must do a live video for comparison to the DL every time you use it. You know that admonition to never provide personal information to a website? Yeah, ID.me uses personal information that you have to provide each time you have to use it from what I understand. If government websites didn't demand this specific product, I wouldn't use it at all. In fact, if possible, I will now go back to writing requests and mailing them to access my data. This isn't secure at all.
My ID.me set up was an easy task that allowed me instant online access to accomplish my goal of obtaining secure information/documents online. It would have taken much longer to fill out forms and mail them in for a response. It was a very easy and secure process!
Make sure that camera access is unblocked on both the camera app and the browser. Just unblocking the camera alone won't do it.

I think it's a great idea to have ID.me as long as I don't get rerouted every time I try to log in and I follow each step and still get rerouted please fix this problem
Took several tries to create an account and then, once I had finally set up the account - with an email confirming that the account set up was successful, the system would not let me access my account saying that I had entered an incorrect email. I reentered the log in several times only to be rejected and then I was locked out of the account.

I spent several days over several weeks trying to get verified by the system that kept looping and restarting saying that it couldn't verify me. I believe the problem was that my phone number listed in my SSA account is not accepted by the AI algorhythm of id.me. I had no other recourse but to put in a different one. However, there was no access to a human that could actually help at that point. And once I finally got to chat help with a real human, they were only able to partially help as they still couldn't help me circumvent the problem by getting fingerprint for MFA, and didn't know who could! There is no obvious access to a technical support team to troubleshoot. And the real human I talked to during the video call was just reading off a script and didn't know anything about the experience with navigating the AI algorhythm that was the source of the problem. I asked to speak to the supervisor and all she could do is direct me to another department that I had already chatted with and didn't have the answers. To top it off, after the real human in the video call finished verifying all my IDs, they told me I could log into my account right away. I also received an email confirming that. When I attempted to do sign in, the system STARTED the verification process AGAIN! In addition, the form for inputting your data has obvious mistakes, for example: the format for the date of birth actually asked me to input the month and day in reverse order than what the system accepted!
I was dreading to filing for SDI benefits online because my experiences filing online have been horrendous. As they say things happen for a reason. I wanted to expedite filing for my benefits so I went online and unbeknownst to me it was easy, simple and safe. I had to get verified through ID.Me. I was skeptical at first but decided to trust the process and move forward. It was amazingly easy to upload or take pictures of the necessary documents such as driver licenses, birth certificate etc., that was needed to start the verification process. The next and last step was pretty cool. The technology used through ID Me was something I never experienced. You place you face in this oval frame and as the technology started flashing it was changing colors as well. Before I knew I was very through two simple step. Highly recommend IDMe to get verified!
I logged in to SSA with my ID.me. Very easy to use. Safe and trustworthy- easy to access and I did not have any issues with it.
I used ID.Me to gain access to ssa.gov. I uploaded documents and a selfie as requested, but then had to do a video call with an agent to further prove my identity. Time-consuming and insulting, given that I am a US citizen and taxpayer.
Heaven forbid you lose 150 pounds you don't look like your drivers license anymore. You have to go down to the DMV get a new photo done pay $20 for a new drivers license. And then wait for the dang thing to come in the mail because it doesn't accept paperwork with the new photo on it as proof. Really dumb. Very annoying. I didn't really have the $20 to begin with but in order to do this I had to.
I'm still learning the tool's capabilities, it's easy to navigate and find some key tax information, however I couldn't yet determine how to pull my Family Tax Filing Documents, it only allows me to look my individual data. I'll look further into it so that I can get my combined family yearly submissions, that part doesn't readily stand out.
In my situation, going thru a divorce, my former spouse had previously submitted our annual combined tax submissions using TurboTax, which I don't have access to, and she will not provide me historical copies

The rest of the experience was seamless and, most importantly, felt secure. With all the hacking and malware threats these days, it's reassuring to see the government partnering with what appears to be a robust, trustworthy identity verification service. ID.me gave us confidence that our sensitive information is being properly protected while still making the process reasonably convenient.
Would recommend for anyone needing secure identity verification.
I tried login.gov and was experiencing some issues and had to request a deletion of my account. I tried ID and it was a seamless process.
Horrible it is so hard for me to reach someone going through email is horrible the response time is horrible I have been trying for months to get into my account I even deleted added still cannot get through to SSA then when someone finally responds they still have no idea how to help me or to even give me the right advice
