The company has garnered a mixed reputation, with notable strengths in its identity verification service, which many users found secure and efficient, particularly praising the helpfulness of customer service during video calls. However, significant concerns were raised regarding the complexity of the verification process, which some customers found frustrating and time-consuming, particularly older users or those with unique identification issues. Additionally, delays and technical difficulties, including issues with document acceptance and login credentials, have led to dissatisfaction among several users. Overall, while the service is valued for its security, improvements in user experience and support are essential.

ID me gives me access to very important information that I need to gain access to easily and I avoid the long phone calls hassle. Thank you ID.me
Family and friends recommended it but I chose not to do it because I don't like to learn new stuff, I am old school. I had to open an account for IRS purposes and to my surprise it was that simple. Feel confident that my info is secure.
It's complicated and take too much time. However, several governmental institutions force you to use it. So, it's not a choice you make.
ID.ME was unable to verify a 50 year old landline and it took 3 video calls, but it finally got done. Tip: save your uploaded documents, had to upload them every time I tried as they were not saved when taking pictures of them through the app.
This was a form of harassment, as I felt it was a red flag. I immediately contacted the VA reporting the issue and the fact that the car dealer demanded that I provide my log in credentials. This allowed the salesclerk to access my VA credentials. That could have resulted that the sales representative could have easily taken a picture of the screen. Too much information could have been breached and resulted on the dark web. As a senior citizen that served during the Vietnam conflict, I do not need or want to be exposed to fraud. There is just too much fraud these days because the WWW has too much informatoin.
Quick and easy verification. I was apprehensive at first, but it turned out to be a great experience using ID me. I would recommend it.
Went to log in to my account and it was like the first time. Nothing worked and I had to go through the whole process again in order to access my account. Makes me wonder how secure my account and information is if the system can completely forget me.
Many options of how to create an account and identify me did not function. Resulting in using the only option that collected my biometrics. Wonder why?
I got into the system.
It's alittle on the out there experience when it's telling you how to place your phone so it can get your photo off your phone. Once again no glasses so hope your able to read the screen without them. The picture appears like something that someone would say do a retake
Nothing but a load of frustrating horse$#*!. Bouncing back and forth between websites and the verification process, that's a whole new load of stupid $#*!. The world would be a better place if the company burned to the ground. $#*! this company
Easy, quick & painless way to deal with many state & federal agencies for secure & safe access to your Social Security account, renewing your Passport & or obtaining various airport clearances to travel the USA or abroad in a much easier manner & avoiding long lines with TSA!
I was trying to access information from my social security account. I was prompted to choose an online method to secure my identity. I recognized ID.Me so chose it.
My information is kept confidential and private noon exam get in thank God I'm the only one that can gain clear access to my account with my personal credentials.
My experience with ID.me was not good. There is not enough warning given that the selfie portion of the process can cause severe eye pain and migraines in people who suffer from eye sensitivity and headaches. Proceed with caution. Also, I'm sure how secure my likeness will be with this company. I would have preferred to complete the set-up in person.
Initially surprised by the request to verify my identity through the video chat but the process was easy to follow to complete
Didn't get or don't know where passcodes are and no one could tell me. Apparently, had to delete account and start over but that takes 24 hours. Too much complicated security for what it is.
I enjoyed using ID.Me while accessing my social security account online. It gives me the security I need to access my private information. It's very easy to use!
The process to sign up took about an hour. Glitches in the system. I had to start over many times. Even after a video call to access my account I STILL AM UNABLE TO SIGN IN!
Awful. ID.me do not preserve people Personal Identifiable Information (PII), which every businesses are obligated to preserve for all American citizen. On the other hand, ID.me exposes the American people PII. It is that simple.
