I've been using ID.me for years. It has made getting discounts with companies that offer veteran considerations a breeze without having to upload my documents to the companies themselves, and even more important, it allows me to access government agencies almost flawlessly because I've already been vetted. Definitely has made accessing many different accounts less stressful.

The problem with linking it to a double check out with My Social Security account, had blocked me from logging to my Social Security account. The help desk at SS says the problem is from ID.Me, but there is no real help desk there, only chat with a bot! A bot that cannot think and if he has no answer he makes you do the resetting, time after time. There is no real technician who can fix the problem. The bot request the error number, but nowhere there is an error number as the only page that come up is to contact the help desk of Social Security. As a result never link your SS account to ID.Me!
