Hi everyone. Just singed with using ID. Me at the sign in. My Social Security representative walked me through it.
The verification process wasn't complicated wasn't difficult, it has taken some time to establish, and to load all the proper documents needed to establish identity. I do find little convenience to use, however I have tried this couple times by loading the proper documents and completing all the verification process, and my account was never established. I have had to try this multiple times after I finally was able to establish an account and get it through the verification process wasn't as difficult however I do find it strange taking the selfie video after having loaded all the proper documents like driver license and state ID.
To get setup you have to upload your official ID. After you upload, the site just circles back and requires you to upload again. I started thinking this was a spam site and I had just provided all my sensitive info to a scam artist. There is no help available or places to ask questions. It is a very frustrating process and takes a lot of time. They act like we have a choice. We don't, if you want to log in to VA, you have to get through the very complicated and broken ID Me process.
As a victim of identity theft the process of ID me is extremely welcoming! Using ID me is gratifying because of the many steps it takes for protection of my identity! Using ID me makes me feel somewhat vindicated as I continue to use this process going forward!
I'm not sure why after I updated my email info and resetting my password, once I logged in I was not able to retrieve any of my SS statements and I wasn't able to apply for SS.

The video selfie for biometric verification was also easy to upload using the phone.the two factor authentication also came across effectively this ensures that my personal verification details remain safe to be used by government websites such as irs.gov etc
