Reading and understanding the instructions I don't use a desktop computer too often. Just was extremely tired after two to three hours on the computer

After reviewing my documents she said I would have access to the account after following 2 additional steps which were outlined in the follow up email she sent. I followed directions and I am UNABLE to access my account. I get and error code

I was forced to use this to communicate with the IRS online. Now ID.me has access to my data to share with its public and private partners for whatever is needed for up to 3 years after I may close my account. This is a very sketchy company and poses a risk to us all.
I hope I never need to use it again for it was not user friendly at all. Older people like me would have a hard time using it like I did.

As I had a ID.me account already set up, my required information was already in place; and I was able to complete and submit the application within a few minutes, without issue. I have found ID.me to a very useful and safe tool when providing personal information and completing applications, especially those for state and government agencies. It definitely adds a extra layer of security and protection relative to your personal data.
