So it's the end of the summer and school starts on Monday. Haven't done anything with my 10-year-old all summer due to the pandemic. Decided to just take him to a hotel for swimming and go tour the city. Searched on Hotel Tonight for a room wanted to make sure that the amenities was what I was looking for. However I trace the bed and it booked me a room which I did accidentally. Totally my fault. However call right away to Hotel Tonight.com. A wonderful woman answered the phone and said that it was not guaranteed but she would do her best to credit my account back and that she will call me back in 15 minutes. I did receive the call within an hour and a half and the woman was very apologetic and explain to me that they could not reverse the charge. Ask them could I at least get a gift card a credit to use at a later date. It was totally an accident. I've learned my lesson and next time I will make sure that I read everything thoroughlyBefore I touch anything. I asked to be transferred to a supervisor she transfer me to someone named Terry who claims he was a supervisor. Was very rude stated numerous times how I made the mistake. I agree with him several times that I made the mistake however his rudeness was uncalled for I then asked for a manager he told me he was the manager. I said when you answer the phone you said you was a supervisor. Now are you a supervisor or are you a manager? He states I'm the only person that you'll be able to talk to in a very rude and condescending tone again he informed me how I made the mistake. I didn't even realize that my PayPal was linked to hotel tonight. I Immediately cancel my PayPal from this app. Will never use it again. And will recommend that no one use it. There is no room for rudeness and disrespect. If I could give them a zero I would.
Horrible customer service
Charged me in US dollars even though I book in Canada. When I asked to speak with a supervisor to complain about charges the person said that he would not allow me to and hung up the phone. Will never use their services again
I booked on HotelTonight.com based on their advertising a $55 less room rate and spotlighting the reservation as a Deal'. The rate they reduced it from was for a larger room on the hotels site. Upon receiving confirmation on the room, I was assigned the most basic room at the same rate as publicized on the hotel's site. The hotel agreed to refund me due to Hotel Tonight's error, however after 45 minutes of speaking with Liz the customer representative and Danielle her supervisor- they said they wouldn't refund me, that they don't guarantee accuracy of the rate information regarding discounts at the time of booking and other than saying sorry - they still took commission from the family owned hotel. During a time when travel is shockingly low and small businesses are most struggling, this outsources form of customer service is an outrage. I WILL NEVER BOOK on hotel tonight.com again and DON'T recommend you to either. Misrepresentation of hotel proves, inaccurate information, poor customer service.
Pay for my Hotel room to find out they have bed bugs ask for my Refund back now they telling me they credit it to my hotel tonight account and would not put my money back in my bank account
During this time of covid DO NOT risk booking through Hotelstonight.com! You cannot reach them. Customer service is non responsive.
I contacted the hotel, Naples beach golf club, regarding my reservation. They said the beaches will be closed. I asked if I could cancel my reservation and they said of course due to the circumstances! I told them I booked through hotels tonight and they said to ask them to email them to request a cancellation and they would be happy to due so without any fees or penalties.
Tiffany at Hotelstonight replied to me saying they "called" the front desk and were told to contact reservations and were not able to reach reservations but were trying.
I called reservations and they told me that hotelstonight knows the procedure which is for them to request via email a cancellation and all fees and penalties would be waived.
In this covid environment, with everything being up in the air... beaches open then closed. You don't book an ocean front hotel if you can't sit beside it get into the ocean! Very sad!
Do not download this app, if you already have it, delete it. Go to the desired hotel's website if you can. I booked a hotel by mistake because they have two of the same hotels listed one after the other on the app. I contacted HT and told them the booking was a mistake and explained what happened, they said it non refundable. I had to go to the correct hotel physically and book directly there.
After my stay, which was successfully charged to my card, they disabled my account and gave me no clarification why. I'm still very confused.
In Feb we booked reservations in Cozumel Mexico for my sons wedding in Apr. And then the International Travel Restrictions were imposed. 37 Days before the date I requested my prepaid reservations be cancelled and requested a full refund but they refused and only offered partial credit for future reservations, like I'd be so privileged to get screwed by them again in the future. This company is head quartered in San Francisco Ca and they know the US Govt travel mandate superseeds their "company policy" on refunding my money. So you can be sure this company will also have their hand out for US Govt. Bailout $ too, which means they will get paid twice and we the taxpayer will pay twice. Never deal with HotelTonight as they are double dipping the taxpayer while screwing the customer who has no say as to keeping the reservation that he can't travel to. Let's send them down the tube as they deserve.
So they hotel i booked charged me again after i had as already paid through hotelstonight. Luckily i spoke to Robert from hotelstonight and he gave me a full refund after hotel was being rude to both him and I. Great customer service Robert! I am totally satisfied...
HotelsTonight charges my card for a Hotel I never stood at yet on my app said I was booked, now they wont fully refund me and want me to contact Hotel OYO yet they didnt charge my card. The app showed I was booked, I showed up confidently about the it since card was charged yet I was told I was never booked through HotelsTonight. I have images of the charges and the app and the respond from the customer service department. This is fraud and false advertisement.
All of these other hotels are offering free cancellations due to caronavirus except hotel tonight. They say the hotel refused but I call the hotel directly and they say no problem.
I booked a room but when I received the confirmation email it was for a different room. When I contacted customer service they said there was nothing they could do and hung up.
We booked a room with them and I ended up getting sick with influenza b. We tried getting ahold of them to try and get a refund. The hotel said they would have done it if we would have booked through them. Then they turned around and tryed blaming it on the hotel. There customer service is all done out of the United States that's for sure
Left my husband stranded with no booking at the Hampton Inn. Spent an entire week going back and forth with customer service via email because they dont answer the phone. You also never get emailed back by the same representative and u have to state your issue all over again and get made empty resolutions because they know they will never email you back. Did not receive a refund. NEVER YOU THIS SITE. I am reporting to the better business bureau.
Make no mistake. If you book with this company for many years they will not appreciate it. I am supposed to be a level 3 VIP. Over the years i have had multiple bookings with them. When i had a work trip fall through and yet they had no remorse or help. While i could not help that a trip fell through they still charged me the whole price and made no effort to help. If you want to play Russian roulette with your time and money use them. Otherwise... NEVER AGAIN!
BUYERS BEWARE!
I accidently booked a room while trying to only inquire about a room. My credit card was attached to the site because I had used the site several times in the past. While only inquiring about a room, my credit card was charged the full amount. I immediately contacted Hotel Tonight and was told that their was nothing they WOULD do about it (even though they could) and that I would have to keep the reservation or lose my money. I've used this site to book rooms for several of my clients in the past. It looks like getting money based on a mistake is more important than future booking or customer satisfaction. My advise? Go elsewhere and give your business to a company who values you as a customer. I, for one, will never personally use Hotel Tonight and I will never use it again for the many professional bookings that I arrange.
I booked a room in DC at the Kimpton hotel, but didn't realize that the listed price included an amenities fee for the hotel. I paid more to book through Hotel Tonight then I would have if I had booked directly with the hotel. Please read the very FINE print.
Worst experience ever. I used Hotels Tonight to book a hotel in Daytona beach this past weekend. They completely messed up the booking. When I got to the hotel I found out that they had cancelled the booking and had given me no communication hat they had done so. They said it was cancelled because my phone number hadn't been verified. No email, no call, no alert via the app to let me know that this needed to be done. I started off speaking with Jordan. We spoke for almost 3 hours (starting at 1 am) with no resolve. He told me he saw where I booked but that ultimately it was the company's fault that I had nowhere to sleep. He offered to send me to another hotel nearby for $69 for the first night and then $100 for each additional night. My vacation was for 3 nights. Big difference from the $40/night hotel I'd booked with them. I requested a manager and got Liliana. Not only was she completely rude but she told me she couldn't even do what the prior rep did for me. Our conversation ended with her hanging up on me. This business's customer service is HORRIBLE and I'l make sure that everyone knows it.
Tried to book twice, each time they blocked my account for no reason.
Their call center had me wait 10 mins on the phone to then tell me "write an email to the other team". And the email reply was that they would not do anything about it

Booked a room and when I arrived at the hotel they sent me to another one. I didnt like the other option and next day they refused to give me refund.
Stay away
Answer: Hotel Tonight will find a way to rip you off, you can count on that.
Answer: Total scam. False advertising. Room and hotel nothing as it was posted.
