This is how they scammed and ripped me off!
They confirmed my booking, 12 hours later, they canceled my booking, and it's already night time. I had no place to stay. They called me, informing my booking was cancelled. They asked me to make a new booking on condition that they would pay for price difference. I did as they asked to. Then when I asked them to refund for the price difference, they rejected me, and ignored me ever since then.

I booked a room in November and in the app I selected a 2 bed room. Even have a screenshot of the final screen before clicking pay, this was to share with a friend I'm splitting it with. Room was booked. When we check in they only have a 1 bed room. Turns out HotelTonight booked me a 1 bed room instead of what I selected. If you do use them which I suggest you don't, check your confirmation email immediately as this can be different from what you booked. Their customer service offered a $25 credit for the trouble as I would need to book another room $700+ to get a second bed. I sent them my screenshot proof of the 2 beds selected and they claim I could have just did this today and screenshot it. The hotel doesn't have 2 beds available the day of Check in and the price would be different, so how is that? Also sent them a screen record of my conversation with my friend in November with the screenshot showing the totals and 2 beds. Horrible experience. Don't use a service like this, you think you might be saving but you'll end up paying way more in frustration.
I booked a hotel showing that portable cribs are available, as I had a child under 2 with me. After finalizing I called the hotel to confirm that fo have a crib available for me. They said they don't. I called Hotel tonight and asked for a credit ( credit, not a refund) to rebook a different hotel. They call me back in an hour or so to let me know that it's my problem and they won't issue ANY type of refund or credit. See other reviews online they are complete fraud. Never using them again.
After arriving 3 am and they knew i will arrive late I was told they can't find a room for me it costed over $600 for the night, I had to wait with a cranky wife for over two hours for them to try to fix it.
When the couldn't they offered me a credit for $75 with a list with terms of when you could and couldn't use it.
Honestly the booking itself was very easy; however, the customer service was beyond awful. I only used this site because they had a promotion running at the time (10% of booking if using Apple Pay) which I utilized; however, the app was not working during the booking time period so I reached out to customer service to get this resolved and the did not take any of the comments into consideration. The price for booking via hotels.com was the same price available through the hotel website. Going forward, I will actively avoid using this app and discourage others from using it too. Very disappointed.
I used this site for my daughter who is 18 to check into a hotel in Vegas.
I would follow shortly but not the first night so they denied my reservation.
When I called the hotel for a refund they said call hotel tonight.
When I called hotel tonight I was on the phone for 2 hours and 17 minutes!
Within the first 5 minutes I was told "as a one time courtesy you CAN get a refund.
After being placed on hold for a while he came back and said "Thid is NOT a guarantee".
I asked for a manager.
The customer rep kept talking about requesting a refund and it's not guaranteed.
I asked for a manager AGAIN.
The customer rep continued to put me on hold, every 3 minutes he would say "we're processing this for you" and put me on hold before I could say anything.
When he came back after 1 hour and 59 minutes I asked AGAIN for a manager.
I only asked for a manager because the rep said I CAN HAVE A ONE TIME CANCELLATION REFUND.
I finally get a manager on the line and I have ti listen that "I need to call the Rio hotel for my refund".
I ALREADY DID that first and they said call HOTEL TONIGHT
SO I THREE WAY CALLED THEM!
The manager "Ernest J" at hotels tonight was blaming Rio and Rio was blaming hotel tonight.
Well 2 hour & 17 minutes of my life I'll never get back and Ernest J said "We can't do anything"
Well! Your rep said I could get a refund and he refused.

They did nothing to help! I am over 21 and they wouldn't let my daughter in before I'd get there and now they won't refund me and I have to pay another hotel!
I would give this company 0 stars if I could. They misrepresent the location of the hotel on their website and have the nerve to have a non-refundable policy. Nothing but scammers!
I used this service the first time was great. The second booking was horrible. We got to a hotel they said was a deal. When we arrived the hotel had mold bugs and completely gross. I was not letting my family stay there. I called them and they told me they were going to give me a refund and help me find a room and call me back. They called back and offered a 25.00 credit for a room I didn't take because of mold no hot water and reveiws of having bugs... do not use this service they do not care about there customers.

My family of 2 adults and 5 children did book 2 rooms with 3rd party app "Hoteltonight"
Having used "Hoteltonight" in the past with great results I used the service again without checking the reviews of the hotel I was booking. Big Huge Mistake! I nievely assumed the 3rd party booking app "Hoteltonight" vetted all their listings Big Huge Mistake! "Hoteltonight" does not vet their listings if "Hoteltonight" did vet their listings "Hoteltonight" would not list "OYO" Kannapolis NC
"OYO" hotel Kannapolis NC is as stated by the front desk clerk a facility for "transients" Rooms feature stale odor made worse when the air conditioner is turned on broken ancient bathroom fixtures "Ok we can do this for a few hours", attend the graduation and hit the road back home.
"Bed Bugs"! My adult daughter was awakened at midnight by bed bugs. A real life nightmare. Ok stuff happens even really bad stuff like bed bugs.
Our nightmare occurred on June 12th 2022 I am writing this review on July 4th 2022 "Hoteltonight" has yet to resolve this issue they do have a no refund policy but hey bed bugs! OYO Kannapolis cannot be reached directly by phone and still are charging us for our bed bug infested rooms with full knowledge of the bed bug issue. We checked out at 1am.
2 adults 4 young children. I am disputing the charges with my credit card company on principle.
I know buyer beware. But in this instance should good faith and good will prevail?
Do your do diligence.

Do not book through this app. When HotelTonight first came on the scene it was incredible. You could book with amazing rates and they had incredible customer service. Now they only have no name hotels, the hotels won't talk to you because you booked through them, and then HotelTonight won't talk to you they say call the hotel. They will offer you a refund if you push, but then they try and give you a credit. I am traveling in a few days, booked my room, I can't get the hotel to answer the phone to even tell me the type of room I have, and HotelTonight won't help except to say call the hotel. This is a prime example of how customer service is declining in this country. Stick with Hotwire or book through the hotel directly. They are friendly, always willing to help, and you can actually get answers.
First and last time using this site. Company does not validate hotels that it promotes. First hotel charged a resort fee different from the website and rooms were not as advertised. Had to spend 1 hour plus to resolve. 2nd hotel was to be a standard room 300 sq, they placed us in a micro room that was 150 sq for the same price. Floors were dirty and ac didn't work. Booking thru 3rd party allows you no rights with the hotel. All conversations or issues must be resolved with the booking agent. Waste of time especially if there are issues
I put in a location and booked a hotel that was in the area requested. After I booked the rooms I checked for directions and found out the hotel booked was over an hour away from my original request I tried to reach out immediately but couldn't get a phone number to call customer service. I sent an email within 5 minutes to cancel but was told no cancellations. This clearly was misrepresentation on my original request. Be very careful and don't confirm anything. I will no longer use this site hotels tonight is a fraud and liar about adding hotels wsy too fsr from the requested location
Horrible customer service and they do not give you any other reasonable discounts compared with other other sites out there. I would not recommend.
It was great! I loved the service. Then a hotel refused to honor their booking and Hotels Tonight Customer Service left me stuck and then charged me full price for a stay I never received.
I switched to Booking.com and am much happier!
Wish I could give 0. They charged me more than the hotel website, then wouldn't honor the price adjustment policy. Finally ended I saying I wasn't within the 2 hour timeframe, because I'd been emailing and talking to them for two hours. I'll never use them again.
I work at the front desk of a hotel and this company is by far the worst travel company to use. We didn't recieve any information on a booking that was made through our hotel by this company. This includes the virtual card that all 3rd party agencies need to send a hotel when a guest prepays for their booking. The guest pays the company with their personal card, the company pays us with a virutal card. We did not recieve a virtual card or an authorization form stating that we can charge the virtual card. This means that when you go to check in to the hotel that Hotel Tonight has booked for you, there might not be a reservation for you at that hotel. This company is not helpful to the customers that book through them, and rude to the hotel staff that are trying to inquire about a guest's reservation. Save yourself the hassle, and book through Expedia or Booking.

Told at the front dest that there was no room on file and that the hotel was sold out. This was around 8:00pm. Called customer service and was told they disabled my account (never explaining the reason) and that I have to email a support team to fix it. I called numerous times getting hung up on and demanding to speak to a manager that never answered my call. Being that it was in the middle of spring break all hotels were booked in the area. Waiting around and calling customer service over and over again and getting no where, I was so angry I wanted to cry. My boyfriend and I ended up driving another 4 hours home angry, arguing and exhausted;(. It completely ruined the one weekend break we had together taking off work since we both work weekends. My advice is to spend a few more dollars and go with a reputable company that will make sure you have a hotel when you get there and actually care and do something if they make a mistake. I will never book a too through them again!
Hotel Tonight should be avoided at all costs. DO NOT BOOK THROUGH THIS SITE. The customer service is horrible. Worse, the algorithm is not functional. For a site that advertises the ability to book a same day hotel, they do not have the capability to actually do this. The main problem is that they do not communicate accurately with hotels and so their offerings are not up to date. Please, find another way to book your hotel. This site will leave you frustrated simply because they do not have a way to stay up to date with hotel availability. Even when the hotel has rooms available, hotelstonight may retroactively decide they don't want to provide the room at the price advertised. I'm only upset I have to give 1 full star. The customer service if you have an issue is even worse.
Rented me a spot with roaches, had me send videos. Week later they are denying my videos are real. Don't use this service. Don't find the middle man who doesn't take care of their customers. Email me for videos or pics. *******@gmail.com
You should know that there is no cancellation even if you booked mistakenly for 10 or 20 days. You should pay all money anyway. Stay away from this scam. Be careful. Don't even try to use this service.
I booked mistakenly 1 month ahead. I called and one of the representatives said they can refund but eventually they charged the whole money. I just wasted the money for nothing. This was a very ridiculous experience.
Answer: Hotel Tonight will find a way to rip you off, you can count on that.
Answer: Total scam. False advertising. Room and hotel nothing as it was posted.
