I got sick and I need to cancel my whole trip. Since I was serious about it I decided to stay at home and have self quarantine for a week. When I contacted to customer service they don't care to understand my situation. I have perks 15 and spent a lot of money last 6 years, but they don't care about their loyal customers and won't try to satisfy my situation. Shame on you hotel tonight. Wish I didn't waste my money on this stupid app. I have gold membership at Expedia and I never had problems with them to cancel my reservation even if just my plans are changed. Wow
They are not here for their customers. They would make you book a room for you to get to the hotel and if a hotel doesn't have it available and in my case charge you for it - they will not work on resolution. Hotel Tonight is not a customer-oriented company. They are only here for your money. Their app is all fancy, but behind it you will find dishonest and careless customer service. I deleted the app shortly after them poorly mishandling a situation that was clearly a fraud by one of their contractual partners. I will never use it again!
I was very disappointed in using the app for the first time. I paid through the app but was double charged by the hotel. When I called both Hotel Tonight and the hotel (Hyatt Place), all I was told was that they will reverse the fraudulent charge but could take a couple of days to show on my card. This caused my card to decline for rental car services and I had to cancel my trip and miss a flight. Neither party did anything to accommodate this horrible experience!
Please remember Hotel Tonight is owned by AIRBNB and they are billionaires. With that on mind, please be aware this people feed mostly on american dollars but take their customer service jobs overseas to pay peanuts while denying americans those jobs. No matter what the situation is they won't cancel your reservations and definitely not refund you. Stay away!

Now imagine hearing from the front desk that they have no record of the booking. It's Saturday night, and all rooms are now full.
But, I say, here's the Hoteltonight booking confirmation, right here on my phone. See? Shuffle forward two weeks and Hoteltonight has assigned a different support person to this issue every day, shifting and dodging, and every day they forward to me the same form letter. They seem determined not to
Either apologize or refund. I will now go to the Hell Freezes Over option until their little fingers are bleeding from responding to my twice daily fireball messages.

I booked my room with Doubletree Hilton. I reserved a room through Hoteltonight over 3 hrs ahead. When I got to the hotel rhey informed me that they never recieved a confirmation email from this business. Their was an of customer their waiting for her room with the same issue with Hoteltonight. I had to wait over 2 hrs to finally get my room. Hoteltonight is absolute trash! I didn't get my room until midnight! Mind you I have to checkout at 5am. The worst hotel booking site EVER!
I was booking a hotel for this weekend, but the app refreshes and changes the date for tonight instead. I sadly didn't notice until the final page after I had paid. I immediately tried to call the hotel and I emailed hotel tonight customer service because they don't provide a number to call. I finally got a response at 9pm saying they wouldn't refund anything or change my dates. If I knew anyone in the area TO STAY IN A RANDOM HOTEL ON A MONDAY NIGHT, to let them know and they would change it. I made a mistake… yes… BUT HAVE BETTER POLICY TO PROVIDE BETTER CUSTOMER SERVICE. Accidents happen! Maybe if the app hadn't refreshed the date automatically, it wouldn't have happened! I'm out $150. Don't ever use this service.
Just don't book a hotel Room with this site. Don't even think about it. If you're hotel Room is not up to a decent standard, you will not get your money back. This place does not have customer service, if you call to complain, Your complaints will not be heard... They have scam artists operating the phones. Under no circumstances will you ever get your money back. They have Cold War Russian Tactic phone operators. Not all of their hotel rooms on the site are decent. So you could be staying at a cockroach hooker hotel... This app is a scam, and you should never download it nor use it!
This is the worst place to Book your hotel. I booked a hotel using this app May 1,2021. The hotel room was dirty and the manager was not able to clean them room and no other room was available. I had to book another room using this app. The hotel is issued my deposit back, but HotelTonight refused to issue my refund, and stilled charged me for the room. Please don't use this service. They are thieves and their customer service is horrible. If I had the time I would have sued them.
I booked a room through them and planned on checking into the hotel after the concert I was in town for over. When we got to the hotel we were told they had absolutely no rooms available & we were the 4th people that, that had happened to. Upon calling & finally getting through I was transfered to several people, who didn't care it was after midnight, my card had already been charged & no hotel in 50 mile radius had a room! All i kept getting was an "I'm sorry I don't know what we can do"
I will be calling back Monday morning, but from the other reviews which I wish I would've prior to booking, it won't make a difference.
I was in desperate need of a hotel after my current booking was refunded (left due to inhabitable rooms). I was visiting San Antonio and everything was sold out. I looked at Hotel Tonight app and search "tonight" and when I booked, the app booked me a room for the following day. I immediately called customer service after and they were reluctant to give me a refund. BEWARE THEY WILL NOT REFUND YOU. They did not make an exception after I explain what happened and blamed me for booking the wrong dates. I don't understand how a company could still charge you for a service you didn't use. The room was 240 dollars and I still needed a room so I ended booking through expedia and paid $250 for another room. They did not even offer me a credit. They called the hotel to let them know I wasn't coming. Honestly, I don't know how they can charge someone for something they are not going to use. I would highly recommend just using another site such as Expedia. Hotel tonight is just there trying to keep people's money. Also, when I compared sites Hotel Tonight was more expensive. You are NOT getting a deal on this website. If there are issues they will not help you. Save your headaches and stay away from Hotel Tonight.
I reserved a room in South Beach Miami from 3/31-4/3 on 3/20 at 12:02am. At 1pm later that same day all the major news outlets (ABC, NBC, WSB, FB) were reporting a State of Emergency issued by the governor due to people not following COVID19 guidelines. There was footage of police using riot munitions against civilians, vehicles burning, pandemonium. I can't go to a place like that. It is not my fault people can't act right and caused a State of Emergency. Per the Hotel Tonight terms, there is a temporary exception to the no refund/no reimbursement rule if "In order to comply with disease control restrictions implemented by relevant governmental authorities." I'd say my situation fits perfectly with that scenario. I went back and forth with three different people with Hotel Tonight's customer service and was given hope when they said they'd look into it and work on getting me a refund or reimbursement with their upper management. Ultimately they pretty much said they couldn't do anything and I was SOL. Users beware, do NOT book through this company. Look at all the other bad reviews, this company doesn't care.
Never again with hoteltonight, not only they left me with no hotel once the reservation was done, they also reimburse me less than what i paid. Service like hoteltonight deserve to go put of business
This company would not refund the charge for a room NOT ACTUALLY AVAILABLE.
The guaranteed booking they said was worked hard for an therefore they can't refund even though I was not offered anything to purchase. Completely illegal.

Hotel tonight charged us for $298 for a room we never booked. We weren't even in that state at the time. When we challenged it, they refused to refund our money. How can they change you for something you never requested or received. Sounds like a lot of people are also getting scammed by this company. We will never use this company, They are an unethical company.
My son booked a room using the App and was unable to stay the night due to the highway closing during a blizzard. Due to safety, road closing and severe weather issues, he called and was told he'd receive his (my) money back, but this never happened. I cancelled the charge on my credit card but the company fought it and recharged me. This isn't over! Buyer beware! Stay away from Hotel Tonight!
I was charged almost $200 for a trip I never booked by hotel tonight. I received a confirmation to the booking and I called to cancel it as it was fraud. They would not cancel the booming because MY NAME was not on the reservation wven though it was charged to MY card. Disputing my charge and from the other reviews on here it looks like thats what most people get.

As a "perks" member who has accumulated a decent "level" on this app I tried booking my "perks" deal. During the process I timed out. I called customer service immediately and they danced around the fact that they could not "find" that price. While It was available to some one next to me who has NEVER used the app. 30 minutes later I asked to speak to a "supervisor" I was given "Chrissy" last name she refused I now know why.
"Chrissy" told me there was nothing she could do for me. As I had explained numerous times I'm a level whatever perks member and have spent a great deal of money with this company she refused to help me.
CHRISSY SAID-

I'm sorry what!?!?
After hanging up I was connected to Jose. Lovely, immediately offering me a 10 dollar inconvenience Coupon. Literally the discount of the entire price I wanted to pay.
I'm not petty at this point it's the moral. Chrissy which last name you will not disclose and it's obvious why, you should really consider a different career.

Room was NOTHING as listed. After holding for 30 minutes they refused to help me. Listing said pool, there was not one. Said they had a restaurant, they didn't. Total rip off
Stay a way from this website and the app. They are not honest and customer service oriented. I booked a hotel room for two nights and paid for hotel room plus fees and taxes. At my check out I paid for everything and ti showed $0 balance to be paid. I checked in to the hotel and stayed for two nights. We were just going there at night just to sleep and get up early in the morning to take cake our business. During our stay at the hotel, there was noting else but just the bed we use. We almost even did not use the restroom and shower except for twice. After the check out of the hotel, We have got $57 charges on our credit card additionally. When we have cvalled them to find out what this charge is for, they have told us it was for the facality fee which includes internet, Gym, Tv. We have told them we did not use any of those services you have mentioned and they have told us either you use it or not, you pay any ways. This is a SCAM. I assume, since hotels has to give a big discount to the Hotelstonight.com, they are trying tp make money somewhere else. I would nopt even give this website 1 star but i have to give them as least one star.
Answer: Hotel Tonight will find a way to rip you off, you can count on that.
