When I write reviews it's always good. Unfortunately this one won't be. I was looking to reserve a room for my birthday weekend and while browsing scrolling reading and looking at all disclosures my card was charged. My intentions were to book the room but i didnt even see the bathroom or any other pics of the room or hotel for that matter. I really wanted a bathroom with a tub btw then after being charged I called Hotel Tonight to try to cancel they said no and kept stating they have a no refund policy which I clearly saw but still why would I book a room I haven't viewed completely? After explaining this was an accident which it was they had no cares or concerns for my complaint. Now mind you the hotel I chose was under construction and I still intended on staying there but I hadn't seen all the pics. Who In their right mind pays for a hotel stay not knowing what they're walking into please help me better understand. Moving forward I will never go through their app again. I will book from Hotel. I'm deleting their app and now in the process of disputing the transaction. This was a lesson learned this would have been my first Vegas trip my birthday is ruined with money being held up.Be careful when going on their app. They have a lot of similar complaints in their reviews. They need to do better. Happy Birthday to me.
I tried the app once and found it to be decent. When I tried to use the app a few weeks later, it wouldn't send me the required email link. I called customer service and was told my account was disabled due to security reasons and I would no longer be able to book on their app under my name and info. While they occasionally have great deals, I've found their rates to be higher than just running a search in google most times. Really bad company policies. I travel often and if they continue to disable people's accounts for no reason, especially frequent travelers, they're going to lose out on major revenue. Hopefully Airbnb changes the way they treat their customers.
After arriving at my destination hotel there was no reservation on file for me. Despite Hotel Tonight (HT) billing my credit card, I had to pay the hotel directly, thus paying for the room twice. Being a little (ok a lot) upset I contacted my bank and disputed the charge since HT had not provided the contracted service. Now I have been told by HT that my account has been terminated because of the charge back. I tried to explain that they had not fulfilled their part of the transaction but they said that did not matter. I can't understand their reasoning but after reading the other reviews I'm probably better off not doing business with them.
Booked room in pittsburg b n b. Pre paid. Show up and find out room was not booked due to overbooking. No contact from hotel tonight or b n b. No body at bnb had to call owner. Difficult to get refund with customer service. Infuriating experience.
They took $158 and never completed the booking. I tried to sign back into the app and the link to reset my password never was sent. I tried to report this company to the consumer protection bureau. Others need to do the same!
They owe me money that was refunded to them from a hotel on September 22 and now over 20 days later I have yet to see my refund. Every time I call they tell me it will take so many business days and then this last call 2 days ago the gentleman said he didn't see any refund pending. It appears I'm not the only one with refund issues.
I was on speaker with a hotel tonight customer representative to add an extra night to my reservation. My daughter was holding the phone because I was driving. She mistakenly touched the app that was open and a reservation went through, I told the representative within a second that that was a mistake. She told me that she couldn't do anything about it and they needed to call the hotel to get a cancellation. They didn't get the cancellation and I called the hotel and they canceled for me. I called hotel tonight again and talked to Pedro, he called the hotel and confirmed that they were canceling my reservation. After all this ordeal and the reservation was canceled hotels tonight kept my money and didn't want to credit my credit card. Horrible experience.
I rented a room for two nights from them in Los Angeles and when I arrived from New York there was no front desk and the hotel was closed. There was a phone number but no one picked up. HOTEL TONIGHT could not reach them either. I had to find another hotel on my own at almost 3 times the price at 3am, plus Hotel Tonight gets to KEEP MY MONEY. Customer service will waste hours of your time with NO SOLUTION. I've used them a lot for years but NEVER AGAIN!. STAY AWAY. STAY AWAY. STAY AWAY.
We booked our hotel and everything went through with them charging my card. Two weeks later we arrive at the hotel and the front desk tells me they do not have our reservation. Hotel Tonight had the hotel as available even though the hotel was fully booked for a month already. All hotels in town were booked. We ended up missing the wedding we traveled here for. Got a credit in return.
Horrible this is the worst customer service ever they can not get me on the phone with a supervisor been waiting 1 hour and they are scammers they will disable your account for no reason
AWFUL! If I could give zero stars If I could! I think this company is a scam. I was charged twice. When I called to contest it, the person on the line was not helpful and confrontational. He asked me to send a screen shot of my bank info to a generic email account *******@hoteltonight. C. I said no, I will send it your email address, I'm not sending my personal info the a generic account. He said they don't have email address. How the does a large company not have email address?! He also refused to tell me his name. He said that they couldn't see two charges on their end, even though I was looking at both charges on my bank account online. I told him this sounds like a scam. It's the first time I ever used this company, I was charged twice, was told they don't see two charges, asked for my personal bank account screen shot, wouldn't tell me who I was speaking to so that I could hold them accountable and was told to send it to a generic email address. Everything about it made me uncomfortable. I will NEVER use them again! I'm actually sitting on hold as I type this because I asked to speak to a supervisor who is taking forever to come on the line. I'm googling reviews and finding out that this sort of thing happens often. It would have been cheaper to just book through the hotel for that night or through expedia. Instead, I was charged twice and I can't get decent customer service. I've been on hold forever and nothing has been resolved yet.
I booked a room and once I got there and checked in the room was disgusting. I asked for a refund and although they said they tried they said they could not get a hold of management. That should have been their first clue that I was right in my description.
The place was the Royal Grove Waikiki
Now i have to dispute this with my credit card company because they will not do the right thing
Horrible app, customer service not only helpful but also has an attitude. App glitches and freezes all the time. They charge your credit card then disable your account, then won't help you reactivate it. Basically a fraud company that lures you in with fake discounts, steals your money, then blocks you out.
The button to make your reservation automatically charges your credit card without informing you... NEVER LET THIS SITE STORE YOUR CREDIT CARD INFORMATION! After 56 minutes, the "supervisor" stated she could not cancel the reservation. There was no place on the website to remove my credit card information. She stated that the website was for "older customers" and the credit card information could only be removed from the App even though all of my interactions were on their website and not on the App... They are total scammers... Stay Away!
I tried to book a hotel, after payed, I was informed that there are no available rooms. But they had charged me already. Refund will take a week.!
I selected the city and the dates again, it shoed the city I want and the hotel. As I didn`t check again the exact address, it seems they had the wrong name of the city mentioned in the website. SO now they can not cancel it and I have been charged again...
Please avoid this app. We booked a hotel via them, and after going to the hotel they couldn't find us on the system. We waited an hour and still we weren't on the system. So we decided to request a cancellation and leave to go elsewhere. After 2 hours, the staff at HT decided to reserve us a room instead of cancelling like we asked. We even had confirmation from the manager saying this was true. Definitely con artists who will do anything to just secure your money. What's the point of booking through them if you can't even access the hotel room you've paid for? Never using this app again.
I decided to use hotel tonight for the first time for a business trip to New York City. Upon checking out it turned out the service had a bunch of undisclosed fees. Had I known I would have never used this service.
I called customer support to ask for a refund and the customer service agent was condescending, rude, & interrupted me!
Don't use this service!
Hotel tonight, I will post all over social media, BBB, & will be contacting your CEO!
I booked a hotel close to Lax the room booked as a private room w parking. I arrived it was something out of a crime movie dusty windows unmarked signage slinging dope and hookers in the entrance abandoned cars around the building and it was a HOSTAL. I thought I was going to get murdered getting out of my car
HotelTonight is not honest. They try to show you attractive pricing and then they make up with hidden fees. One hotel informed me that they have invented a convenience fee just for HotelTonight. You see 125$ then you book for 159$ and at the end you pay 25$ convenience fee / resort fee to the hotel.
This is, in my opinion a dishonest and useless app. If shows low prices but its simply that the legitimate hotels apps, like Expedia, disclose all the fees before you book. These clowns hide the hotel resort fees (which are a joke, they are just extra price, you dont get anything for them) in footnotes that are illegible on an iPhone. It is deceptive marketing at its worst. I would give zero stars if i could.
Answer: Hotel Tonight will find a way to rip you off, you can count on that.
Answer: Total scam. False advertising. Room and hotel nothing as it was posted.
