Stay away from this scam!
April 26, 2018

This is a scam web site led by a con artist Natasha Simic. I wish, I had a choice to give them 0 starts. I booked a hotel in Las Vegas for 3 days and received confirmation email with the booking number and a deadline for cancellation. One day before the due date I had a family emergency and had to cancel the reservation.
1. Called customer service... no luck... they only work certain hours
2. Web site was giving a message that the reservation is not found
3. The confirmation email wasn't giving any other options to proceed with cancellation.
4. I responded to the email confirmation by requesting to cancel the reservation.
5. I also found a link on the bottom of the email confirmation and sent another request to cancel the reservation.
All of this was done one day before the deadline to cancel. I called the customer service the following morning and was told to send an email to Natasha Simic. I sent her an e-mail with the above mentioned proofs of cancellation and after waiting for 5 days and making numerous call to the customer service and getting a run around, she responded that the reservation can not be cancelled. I lost $444.00.

Stay Away! Charged $99 within a week of booking
April 25, 2018

Recently used hotelpower.com and booked a reservation. Within a week, I received an email with an order # for their membership and a charge of $99 immediately to my credit card. There was no "trial period" of 90 days. I was worried that the reservation never did go through with the hotel. Thankfully it has but I was charged $50 more than the actual hotel rate by Hotelpower.com, not to mention the additional $49 embedded fee hotelpower charges. I just got off the phone again to cancel my membership. I am hoping that it truly WAS cancelled.

Ive wanted to write about it since I was scared that pricing and service (they call yo to check everything is okay with your reservation) was too good to be true. Well, it was just very good since the hotel rate theyve offered was by far the best weve found, and there were not hidden costs or charges, that I was afraid we would face once there. Therefore, great experience with our booking and stay in Argentina through Hotelpower.com.

Total Scam!
April 5, 2018

I tried to cancel my reservation, with plenty of time to spare for the free cancelation policy. When I tried to cancel online, I kept on getting an error message. I called customer support and waited quite a while. When I finally got connected to someone, it took them about 20 seconds to respond and the line was terrible, like they were on a boat in the middle of the ocean. The agent told me my reservation was successfully canceled, along with the $1 automatic yearly transaction fee which you have to call to cancel. However, I'm still waiting for the confirmation email, and I don't fully believe it was canceled. I don't trust a company that does everything in it's power to not let you cancel something. I guess I'll check my bank account in 10 days. Worst!

I recently used your company to reserve a hotel in San Antonio Texas. My confirmation # was #*******024 and it was for the Hyatt Place San Antonio/Riverwalk. On May 31st, while in Corpus Christi I called ahead to confirm my reservation in San Antonio. The Hyatt Hotel did not have any reservation for me from your company. I immediately called the number on the reservation and was told that it is probably the hotels fault as sometimes they take a while to process. I told the person I was speaking too to find out what happened and to call me back. I never got a call back.

I called again on the morning of April 1st and you told me there was no reservation with that number, please see attached, and you did nothing to help me out even though it was final four weekend in San Antonio. Regardless of who I spoke too, it was always the Hotels fault and not yours. I wonder who I booked the reservation with?

Fortunately, I spoke to the Hyatt directly, and they jumped thru hoops to find me a room. They offered several locations with varying price ranges. Hats off to the Hyatt staff for solving the problem.

I should note that Customer Service is not judged by a friendly voice on the phone, which you did not have, it is judged by how you handle problems. The worst thing is I had to pay you $99.00 to become a member. I would expect you to return that fee, however you dont seem to be that kind of company. You appear to only take money and not provide a service.

I will do all I can to tell those people I come in contact with about the horrible experience I had with Hotel Power. I have forwarded a copy of this email to a few hotels just to let them know of your companys inability to solve problems for your customers

Stay away from Hotelpower
March 29, 2018

I could have given Zero star if the site had not selected one for me. The prices on Hotelpower.com can not be trusted. After I completed credit card information and booked, received a notification that something went wrong and I should call their 1-866 number. They wasted my time fon the phone for another 20 minutes. They did not honor the price they had posted. My credit card was charged and then refunded. It was a mess. Stay away from this site.

WORST COMPANY EVER... PLEASE RUN AWAY!
March 17, 2018

WORST COMPANY EVER! So i made reservations with this company on 2/7/2018 for a hotel 3/17/2018. These people call me TODAY telling me my hotel was overbooked and they had to put me in another hotel. Ok no problem. That was at 12 noon. It is now 10:16pm and they close at 11pm. I have been calling for the last 8 hours and they have been giving me the run around. The day before my arrival. Can you believe this? My flight leaves in a few and I still do not have a hotel. I called and the hotel has no record of my reservation. I have been calling and emailing this company for the last 8 hours and all they keep telling me is they waiting. My flight leaves in a few and ALL of the hotels in New orleans are BOOKED! I asked the lady for a refund and she tells me. They don't do refunds. WTF. I am so frustrated right now. If anyone can reach out to me and tell me if I have a lawsuit or what I need to do? I have recordered conversations and emails,

I cannot recommend this service
March 5, 2018

Like other reviewers, I was enrolled in Hotel Power because I booked a hotel through Trivago. Unbeknownst to me, booking the hotel through Hotel Power automatically enrolls you in their trial membership. You have to pay a fee if you do not cancel within 90 days.

I cannot recommend the service because I feel it is very sneaky to automatically enroll someone in a trial that converts to a paid membership without their knowledge. I also cannot recommend the service because they make it difficult to cancel:

1) You cannot cancel online
2) You must call to cancel, but the business is not open 24/7
3) When you call to cancel, the menu you listen to (if they are open) is lengthy before you get to the cancellation option
4) They do not include their customer service phone number on emails so you can't easily find it, you have to visit their website.

2 stars because once I finally called during business hours, the gentleman who answered only asked me one question (whether I understood the benefits of the membership) before agreeing to cancel me. So at least he didn't try to do the hard sell at that point.

I will also be leaving a bad review for Trivago. I won't be using their service again to book hotels because of this nonsense. Kayak will have to do.

Love the rates -- Excellent customer service.
March 5, 2018

Hotelpower.com has awesome rates. I had to check rates for Las Vegas at the Aria and the Wynn / Encore for a conference and hotelpower.com was much less than Expedia, Priceline and Orbitz. HotelPower's site may not be as fast or flashy, but it's fairly easy to navigate and the prices are right. I had to call their 800 support and got right through. The rep answered my question quickly and professionally.

March 1, 2018

I was having an issue booking online for a hotel in Cancun, I called in and expressed my issue and the agent apologized and offered to assist. After 10 mins on the phone my booking was completed, for even a lower price. Awesome! I am going to book with them for every trip. I also signed up for the membership it is a great offer

Zero Stars
February 27, 2018

Booked thru Trivago and this company took my money and never made the reservation. Sat in the lobby of Fairfield Hotel for 2 hours trying to get it straightened out. Fairfield was wonderful and cut thru the horrible customer service from this company. This is the last thing tired customers needing a room need to face. Saving a few dollars was not worth it... beware.

I would also like to add to ALWAYS check the taxes and fees before you hit the complete transaction button on ANY website. Unfortunately I am dealing with hotelpower.com which is in part my fault that I did not check the taxes and fees which were almost HALF the amount of the room itself. When I noticed this I went ahead and looked up preferredmotels.com (a play on words of a competing website) while their room rate was slightly higher, the taxes and fees were 1/6 of that of hotelpower.com and so the total was around 20% less, so I knew it was more fees than taxes.
I contacted hotelpower and after several "expediting" emails, they stated that is the correct taxes and fees and would not try to help me at all and I kept having to contact them via email to get any result they never actively contacted me back-only in reply that they were escalating my complaint to the financial division. I am just warning people away from these "underhanded fee" practice companies.

NEVER use this website!
January 16, 2018

We used this website to make reservations in Las Vegas. When we arrived at the hotel, they had no reservation, even though my credit card had been charged. After THREE and a half hours at the front desk and being on the phone with HotelPower, the finally were able to push our reservation through, but under the wrong name, wrong costs, and they cancelled one of our three rooms. The fees charged almost doubled the cost of our stay. It was my first and last time using this site. DO NOT USE THIS SITE EVER.

Stay away from this site!
January 11, 2018

I recently used Hotelpower.com to make a booking for one of my stays and it has been a night mare dealing with them. I had contacted the customer care about a problem with my reservation multiple times but no one was able to help me with the issue. All the calls to customer care end with them asking me to send an email with the necessary details but no one replies to those emails. This site has one of the worst customer care support of any travel sites. I would advise people to stay away from this site and use other reputable travel sites to book your travel.

This website is a scam
November 6, 2017

I booked a hotel room through hotelpower.com then flew to Vegas and tried to check into my room but when I got to my hotel they informed me that hotelpower.com cancelled my reservation without notifying me however they did charge my credit card and have still not refunded the money yet and it has been almost 10 days. I ended up paying resort fees for nothing and had to scramble to find a place to stay and spend far more than I intended to spend on my trip. Do not use hotelpower.com to book a room if you want to have a good vacation that goes smoothly
