I wanted to write this positive review for the CEO Tim and the Senior Manager David Ernay both of them helped my eldery grandmother out with her reservation after she had issues. Tim helped her with the cost and David was very prompt on calling and emailing back on getting her refunded and rebooked. I really appreciate both of you on what you have done. Never Again

Booked a room at the Hampton Inn through Hotel Planner. Arrived with email confirmation and was advised that the confirmation number was Not one of theirs. Called Hotel Planner, they apologized for their mistake, cancelled the room and advised we would be refunded. Two weeks later we received an email advising we have a credit towards a future room at various hotels. NOT ACCEPTABLE! Continuing the fight to get the full refund

This company is an absolute nightmare. I had to cancel my reservation due to an event location change. I received the cancellation email and didn't think much after that. The next day I received a text message about an active reservation and realized my credit card was double charged. When I called the person gave me a complete run around. Over 30 minutes on the call and I received a "request" ticket for the issue. They literally charged my card with a different itinerary AFTER I had already cancelled and then claimed they could not immediately refund my account the ~$800 they straight up stole. I then spoke to the hotel and it turns out they didn't even have an extra charge - this was all from HotelPlanner! They flat out lied about talking to the hotel! I am 100% reporting them to the Better Business Bureau. Stay away from this company!

FRAUDULENT COMPANY *BEWARE*

This company continues to scam customers out of money. They will book you a room that is 'Non cancelable' while telling you can cancel by a certain date. They claim they cannot refund you money because the hotel has it, and because they have booked you a 'Non cancelable room' the hotel will not give the refund. You can tell its a common practice for this company with reading all the other reviews. Upon providing proof that they scammed me (recorded audio from my booking, receipt from the booking, emails with their customer service), my email has now been blocked by their server. I will be reaching out to their hotel business partners to discuss this scam they have going on.

This is so disgusting that I have been calling multiple times to resolve a issue. I was Lied to by a representative she told me ur policy backs words. I asked her so ur saying that as long as I cancel before 10 am on 4/8 Chicago time that I won't be charged to cancel she said Yes that is correct she Lied and ur company could careless that I was lied to when I called to cancel when I thought it was free cancellation since that is what she said and since I just did the reservation not even 30 mins ago yesterday when I was in the process with the automatic system I asked to speak with rep to confirm and make changes and I was told that I had canceled already in the system which I never authorized during that call and I was also told that I am being charged 118 for cancellation I'm beyond upset and when I called about a supervisor I was told one would call in 10 mins after they review the original call which never happend I told them I needed to get this fixed I'm out of a room that I need and I'm out of 160. I'm so upset this is crazy I'm traveling for business today and I have no room which ur company is aware of but don't care. I'm filing a bbb complaint asap on Monday. Please do not use this company Or reservation. I'm beyond irritated.*******

Called to book and they acted as though I was speaking to the hotel. Took my reservation, credit card number. Received a text message with the itinerary number and confirmation that I was booked. The text message also included a number to call for support. I tried many times to use this number to change my booking. All I got was a case number to use to change my booking. This was USELESS! Could not find a proper phone number until I looked on my CC statement. Once I called this number, I was able to talk to a person who proceeded to tell me that I cannot cancel (this is what I wanted after all this trouble) There was NO mention of not being able to cancel as the hotel allows it up to 24 hours before check in. So, then I said I would accept the "voucher" to book for the proper date. No voucher has arrived. Next step is to put in a dispute to my CC company to cancel the payment and block all other payments. This is the worst booking platform I have ever dealt with! Regret not just calling the hotel direct.

While using a trusted reservation program they transferred me to this program which I wouldn't have chosen on my own. When going to Hotel Planner to resolve an issue they never got back to me, despite several attempts, after I sent them what they asked for to resolve the problem. I would not use this service again and will not use the program that transferred me to them without my knowledge. And, when canceling a reservation that WAS refundable my only choice was a voucher for future use or a 25% fee. I would have taken the penalty if I had been aware of their practices.

Liars!

Dishonest! Liars! I wish I could give them a negative number of stars. First of all, I never use a 3rd party to book a hotel, I always call the actual hotel. When I called I was told that I was speaking with the actual hotel. I asked specifically for an ocean view room with a balcony. No problem. I drive 3 hours to find there is no ocean view or balconies. That's when I find out that I was booked by Hotelplanner. I have never even heard of this group, and I would have checked reviews before I ever used them. The reviews are so bad I would have never used them! I have filed a complaint, but I do not expect any response. This site should be shut down immediately! Beware of these liars! This trip was a celebration for my recent retirement. Thanks for ruining it!

We attempted to make a reservation with the hotel hyatt in the meadowlands in Washington pa. The person who got on the phone represented theirselves as the hotel and took our information she told us it.was ahold on card she also gave no information that let us know she was not the hotel we had called.no room or confirmation eitherand at no time did she tell us it was nonrefundable. An hour later at te store the card was declined due too the person who scammed us had taken the funds from our account causing our normal bills that would be Coming through to overdraft our account several times. Also causing issues with wedding plans we were making to the point to cancellation we called to cancel and we were told the funds would be refunded and she said it would be back on our card with 7 12 days.we recieved an email talking about a voucher for our amount.H******* we need our funds back in our account to pay our regular bills that have been reversed due to this scam.we already contacted our bank.to report this scam of a company we also will be filing a police report and contacting kdka to report this fraud. We contacted the hotel and they said the reservation had been put thru expediia for may20 and canceled but this scammer never mention expedia and also lied many times. Also contacting the Better business bureau and the federal trade commission
Refund our money to our account we can't use a voucher.

This is a scam rip off company. Warning DO MOT BOOK THROUGH THIS COMPANY. They take your money make empty promises and then when you call to complain NO ONE SPEAKS ENGLISH WELL! You do the math

CANNOT get customer service on the phone! No one will call you back. Call the number and it is an auto robot that says all customer service is busy then gives you a ticket number. Tried the chat, completely unhelpful. Emailed, no one has called back! I want to change the date of stay and can't manually do that.

Left me high and dry

Booked through them for spring break. When I contacted the actual hotel, they had no record of our reservation. I worked with hotelplanner.com for over eight days to try to rectify the situation. They were unable to assist me in any way. They would not cancel my reservation. They would not attempt to rebook me, despite knowing that the hotel did not have our reservation. All the hotels were completely booked. I ended up having to book an Airbnb further away from her desire location and a much higher cost due to the fact that I had no response from hotelplanner.com, despite calling and emailing daily. Helpful hints: 1. All phone calls are recorded, if they agree to something have them verbally repeat it 2. They can't hang up on you, so you can talk to them as long as you like. It won't get you anywhere though. 3. Keep calling until you get someone helpful. Seems like the new employees still have souls and may eventually help you out. 4. Just book directly through the hotel. The rates are cheaper any way!

My wife made reservations for Cobblestone Hotel in Hartford, Wisconsin. She thought she was talking to the hotel but no one on the other line said they were hotel planner. They never mention a cancellation fee to her when booking of one night stay. I found out when I canceled due to finding a better rate. My daughter called telling them you took advantage of my elderly parents and they told her they would make an exception and refund the balance of the refund and would call and email my wife. That was 11 days ago have not heard a word or seen any money dealing with Itinerary H*******. My daughter called twice got same response still nothing. DON'T BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY AT ALL THEY LIE TO HIGH HEAVEN. Plus my wife said you will not run card until I check in they said yes in minutes they ran it SO ANOTHER LIE. RUN FROM THIS SNAKE OIL COMPANY.

I was given a voucher to use because my first reservation was very messed up and everytime I attempted to use it,it said my cvc code was wrong, It could find it to add funds. IT WAS ALWAYS SOMETHING. Called multiple times (16+) and got no help, was transferred to lines that hung up and left several messages for a return call and nothing. I have been doing this for days and now my voucher runs out at 12am How was I to use it if I couldn't do it through my account or contact someone to help and couldn'tget anyonewho could put notes or extend the use till I got help? Feels very scammish

TOTAL SCAM

Booked me into a hotel that was full. Didn't get a refund back. Gave a voucher that is literally impossible to use. Nobody at ANY # I call can help. It's like they just took my 147.39 cuz the b.s i.ve had trying to redeem it is absolutely ridiculous. Never again will I book through this site. Total scam!

I booked a reservation and they acted like they were the actual hotel. I asked questions and the guy said if I called back I would get him. I booked and was told I had 72 hours prior to arrival to cancel no mention that they would keep a whole night over 200.00 if you cancel. I cancelled 2 weeks prior to arrival and they kept one nights stay. They promised customer service would call me back and they would listen to the conversation and if the guy didn't mention they keep one nights stay they would refund me. They never called back after numerous calls and my credit card company called and they said they were handling it but again lied. Do Not book with them. Make sure you know it's the hotel and not hotel planner. They will act like it's the hotel when you call. I thought I was calling the hotel but somehow got them instead. I thought I asked enough questions but was still lied to. BEWARE!

HotelPlanner is a bunch of fraud artists and internet scammers. You take advantage of people who assume that you are like Expedia and Hotels.com who don't charge a fee over the standard room rate. But you charge a fraudulent fee of around $50 to just to do the booking! Yes, I made a mistake booking with you but your whole business strategy is to pay to have Google put your name first so that people will get caught off guard by you slipping in this fraudulent fee. By the time I realized that this fraudulent fee was included it was too late to cancel my booking.You wouldn't even tell me what the fee is vs the tax amount. You say they are mandated by law. Yes, for the tax but NO for your fraudulent fee. You should be ashamed that you are such an unethical company.

Any fees have been kindly explained to you multiple times by our customer service agents. Regardless of your unkind words and profanity. The tax recovery and fees are charged by the hotel and the third party provider, they are not our charges. All charges were disclosed and agreed to, prior to you completing the booking.

I was able to get a partial refund approved for $30.00 as a gesture of good will. Please allow 2-10 business days to see that refund reflected on your account.

Total scam.

The room I booked said it could be canceled. I canceled my room two weeks prior to the stay. The "fees" they charged me was for the total cost of the hotel $1,200.00. No refund! I'm furious.

Ripped off! DON'T BOOK WITH THEM!

This company portrayed themselves as the hotel personnel. They told me I could cancel my booking anytime before 6 pm. I booked for 5 nights and when I tried to cancel the last 2 nights as I was being price gouged by over $75 a night they declined saying it had to be reviewed. They were quick to take my money but the review will take 10 days or more and no guarantee of a refund. The hotel is powerless to help as this is a third party booking agency.
