My husband and I are traveling to Decatur, IL to see our daughter graduate from college. We needed a room for several days, and were hoping to find one, considering that so many other people are also traveling for the same reason. I spoke with Wesley, who happily took the time to make sure that we got a great deal. We were able to save a few hundred dollars, which was a huge blessing! Thank you so much, Wesley!

Our local Veterans have organized a PTSD benefit ride. Last count was 350 bikes and other vehicles. I called to book a room and the price for one night with 2 people and two queen bed's was $424 and some change. I then called the ride organizer and he gave me a direct number to one of the four Hotels/motels front desk. The charge was $105. The woman who tried to get me to reserve the $424 room supposedly checked other hotels/motels and told me they were either booked full or comparable in price. What a TOTAL LIE! To charge 3x more than what the actual Hotel is charging is absolutely disgusting! It's a benefit ride for Veterans. I would recommend you NOT use this site to book a room ever! She was not at all moved when I told her I was going to leave the hotel a honest, but negative review. I understand why now, the hotel had nothing to do with the reservation the company responsible for the gouging is HotelPlanner.
