I I had to call and get my reservation canceled as they reserved the wrong location I then had to call and get my own reservation at the right location I don't think I'll use Expedia again

Booked a last minute overnight stop for my traveling daughter and Anthony 'Tony' was cheerful and very helpful! He not only helped me book the room, he assured this mamma that I could book and pay and all she had to do was arrive and there would be no issue with her not having my credit card knowing she had designated stop in her 15-16 hour journey. And that I could book and fund it while she was on the road, allowed me the chance to breathe a bit better.
I was charged twice the going rate, for a crap hotel, because I wasn't told I was booking through "hotel planner." Also wasn't told I could get discount for being a ND Farm Bureau member. I got ripped off bad. $214 for a sβ-hole with stains everywhere and shelves falling off the wall. Dirty hotel. Receipt when I checked in said the rate was $115. But since I unknowingly booked through a dishonest booking agency, I paid $214 for a filthy room. DO NOT USE HOTEL PLANNER. When I tried to tell her I wanted to call around she insisted on finding me a rate I could agree to. She told me the rate was 150+ tax. Somehow that ended up to be $214.

Traveling teams line doesn't open for another hour or so. I tried calling customer service at the hotel to see if we could request early check in. I spoke to Alex, gave him a quick rundown on our situation. He offers no information and hung up. Then sent me a customer satisfaction survey

He was very helpful and went beyond and Above to make sure I got a room since he couldn't accommodate me where I was trying to get. He found something comparable and was quick. And filled all my orders, and I am extremely happy to enjoy my mother's day with my son.
We needed to cancel our reservations because when we arrived at the motel, they told us we were not allowed to leave the dog unattended. So, we couldn't leave our dog in her kennel in the room and go to eat at a restaurant for example. They said you have to take your dog with you if you leave! Plus, the lady receptionist, named Julie, was very rude and degrading. Then they told us our dog had to go to the bathroom at the garbage dumpster! The motel advertised a "terrace" for pets, but there was none, just some trashy mulch around the garbage dumpster! Also, they advertised "Pet Friendly" but they were not. I feel they lied and misrepresented that they were pet friendly, when in fact they were not! As a result, if we had stayed there we would not have been able attend our activity functions on Saturday. As it stands, we did miss the banquet on Friday night because we had to take 2 hours to find a different motel on short notice, that accepted pets! Also, we couldn't have left our dog in the car because it was over 90 degrees. This is false advertisement and caused us to have to get another motel and therefore we missed our banquet event trying to find a different motel on short notice. Christina was very courteous and helpful with our concerns. She apologized for our problem several times when it was not her fault. She put my mind at ease while I was very upset about the situation and missing our banquet! She followed up and overall provided outstanding customer service. She even took time to call me back and let me know about the refund decision.

Answer: I attempted to email, submitted a support request, called numerous times, requested call backs (received 0), attempted to chat and was continuously ignored or "disconnected", never once reaching anyone that would or could help me. Customer Service at HotelPlanner is nonexistent.
Answer: HP's staff is full of deceitful and despicable liars. Do not use HP for planning any trips if you wish to have smooth, happy travels.
Answer: Just do not use! HP is awful and they will spoil your travel plans!
