Beware

This agency has no customer service contacts. My flight was canceled and I cannot get any questions answered through Hopper. I thought they were a legitimate business. Now I'm looking at losing approximately 900$ for a flight they cancelled. The airline TAP stated it's illegal to do business with a 3rd line party like Hopper. I have booked several trips with then but losing money this time makes me sad. I will no longer book through hopper l learned an expensive lesson. Book direct through a the airlines in the future. Hopper is taking advantage during this pandemic. This is not my last rant Hopper!

Horrible customer service. If you have an issue with a flight, good luck getting any help from Hopper. It's been 5 weeks & numerous msgs through the app with still no response from Hopper. I haven't been able to find a contact # or email address so you are forced to do it through the app which no one will respond to or read. When you look on the app for help it gives you a link to the airline which says to contact who you booked with aka Hopper. I called the airline and was told this as well. Hard to do when the people you booked through won't respond. This is my second time using them. I was lucky that I didn't have any problems with my first flight. I won't be using them again. Paying a couple bucks less to get $#*!ty service isn't worth it; it wasn't like the savings were that great to make it tolerable to have to deal with using Hopper. Spend the money and book flights through a better app or site.

I been tirelessly trying to contact hopper, the only way to contact them is through there app on hopper on messanger. They have not respond to one of many messages. We had to cancel our honeymoon and flight due to the coronavirus. We purchased their extra protection plan that states that we will get refunded for the tickets. Our scheduled flight is less than a week away, ended up having to call the airlines directly and cancel but we do not want the credit we want the refund that the protection plan through hopper promises. Horrible customer service Hopper! Way to leave your customers out to fend for themselves through this trying time but you gladly took our money!

Never again

My flight is through frontier they want u to pay extra for everything, 1st time using hopper I'll use flighthub from here on out plus hopper charged me a whole extra 30$ just for booking this is just a scam all the way around I would have came out cheaper going straight through there website without hopper... Run don't book.!

Due to COVID-19, I had to cancel my trip and Hopper ONLY offers a way to contact ANYONE for help if you have a trip booked... because I had to cancel (and was supposed to get a refund, but didn't) there is no way for me to contact someone for customer support. This is the worst website/app to book your trip with due to the lacking of customer assistance. There should be atleast a chat button to ask an employee/real person a question if need be!

Refund

I had planned to travel to Germany but my trip was cancelled the end of March. I called SAS and they said I was entitled to full refund but had to go thru hopper. I have contacted them numerous times but all they respond is that I have already contacted them. It would be so much better if I could actually talk to them but all I get is a canned response. Next time I will book directly with airline. This is ridiculous!

Worst Decision Ever

Had flight booked to Maui April 1st. How can you run a business with no CUSTOMER Service, or PHONE number or EMAIL. Trying to get help on the app and it just goes in circles. Requested cancelation and keep getting we are working on it. Everyone I know have had their refunds or credits shortly after the cancellation request through other apps or the airlines. Where the heck is my $$$ Hoper?

Unhappy customer

I am so pissed that I booked through Hopper and did not know they have no way to contact them, I acontacted the airline directly for a refund and they approved it and sent it on the 9th of April but it was sent to Hopper, They will not respond to me about my refund and there is no way to talk to anyone... this is very bad customer service and I will not be booking through Hopper anymore, I should not have to wait on my refund when the airline already processed it and Hopper says to get a refund talk to airline directly... Which I did and now Hopper will not give me my money back I am beyond pissed and in satisfied

No phone number exists. I was granted a refund by the airline (Jetstar) due to Covid19, and Hopper held my money. Couldn't get my money back because Hopper makes it almost impossible to contact them. Had to speak to a robot for days. Still have not gotten my money back. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. First time I've ever cried while trying to deal with companies. $#*! is ridiculous- just let me speak to a human!

We booked tickets through Hopper to Hawaii back in early Feb 2020. Then COVID came along and Hawaiian Airlines canceled the flights but since I'd booked through Hopper, Hawaiian can't refund me - only Hopper can, because THEY buy the tickets from the airlines, and then sell them to US, meaning we have no recourse via the airlines. Trying to go thru the Hopper app to request a refund? There is no option for that. Only to cancel... but my flights were already canceled since they were booked for April 5-April 10. Once that happened, there was no way to re-book for later in the year. I am so unhappy. You can NOT get a person or a live chat. The so-called "form" I completed 72 hours before my outbound flight was to take place resulted in an automated response that they would contact me in 24 hours. Nope, they sure didn't. I would NEVER book flights through Hopper ever again and I'll make sure everyone I know is aware of their horrible customer service. At this point I have no idea if I will ever see a refund. I may have to go to our local news people, the "investigates" guy, to see if they can help.

Lost my money
June 12, 2020

Booked through hopper for mine and my daughters hotel room. Paid for it and everything got canceled because of the Covid19. I had contacted the hotel and they had no problem refunding my money but hopper won't reply and at one point said that their email was not available anymore. Will never use again and if you want to keep your money I'd advise you not to use them.

I have been a few different types of trips with hopper. The worst part is that you don't ever get to talk to real people, it's through and App on the phone and they handle customer service through an automated text feature that generates responses. I had a trip to San Francisco, the timing was horrible, Covid-19 hit the country and SF was one of the first places who put a stop to unnecessary travel. I contact Hopper for five weeks and they refuse to refund my trip even though the hotel was closed and the area was quarantined. I contacted the hotel directly and received a letter from the hotel admin, still was not enough. Hopper did not stand by their refund policy and refused to let me talk to a real person. If I owned a business in the travel industry I would think twice about allowing hopper to book for that business. It's customer service like this that will lose business.

The alerts about the plane ticket I bought, going down in price, helped me get 50$ back on my ticket! I only wish I knew the ticket would be going down even more because of this Corona virus. The airline (American) only allows 1 refund. Hopper also let's you know about lower prices on several of the other flights you were looking at , which is helpful because I believe the airlines are letting you cancel a flight without penalty, (American is) and then you can get a cheaper flight. Thx Hopper

So far seems to be a great tool for tracking flight prices. I get a text every time the price changes. I have not booked anything yet and after reading the other reviews I probably won't book thru the app.
