I canceled a flight way back in 2020 and it's almost a year later and I still haven't received a refund. Hopper was even in touch with updates, notifying me that my refund was still processing and that I'd receive it soon — that was more than six months ago. It's impossible to contact their customer service and I can't help but think I may never see the $1400 that Hopper stole from me. Crooks!
United Airlines gave a full refund to Hopper's card ending in 8649 in the amount of 753.68 on March 6th. They never gave us our refund. They also never reply to emails unless we leave bad reviews and bombard them with emails over and over again. They are a greedy middle man that keeps your money even when the airline refunds you. Hopper confirmation BTMTDM.

I had to cancel a flight because of covid and had paid for flight insurance to get reimbursed just in case anything happened. I never got my money back and since you can't directly talk to anyone, I was never able to resolve my issue. Yall are better of using the app to know when to buy then just buying from the actual airline directly.

Company did not handle cancellations for Covid appropriately I cancelled my trip three weeks before due to overlapping plans. I had insurance to cover cancellation. Company refused my refund. And would not recognize my cancellation until weeks after I tried to cancel. Website gives no contact where you can verbally speak to. I emailed several times and never once received an email that was not mass produced. Do not use this app. Scam Scam Scam

Absolutely never using this app again. My friend send me the link to this app. Bought three tickets. Froze the price (since that is an option) Only reason to freeze a price for up 14 days is to see if price can drop. Paid $132 to freeze it. Only to find out that the $132 is non refundable. Ended up paying $617, as oppose to the $471, which is what it was at the time of freezing. SCAMMERS! Use google flight instead. Also, there is no one you can speak to. Everything is just articles with Q&A, or a message with a rep (Only after you spend money) and even then, takes FOREVER to get a reply. Awful service.

I canceled my flight in less than 24 hours after booking and it has been a month and still no refund and no resolution. I am very upset and $480.84 is alot of money to me. Stealing my money during these times is not right and to not have anyone resolve this is ridiculous. WHERE IS MY REFUND HOPPER? THIS IS WHY YOUR REVIEWS ARE SO BAD. HONEST PEOPLE YOU ARE STEALING FROM. Will get lawyers involved.

Don't use them! Our trip was canceled because of Covid and we have been trying to get our money back for over a year. No customer service, and won't even respond to BBB! What's the point of cancellation insurance that claims you can cancel for ANY reason and then doesn't refund your monies when a world wide pandemic hits. TERRIBLE COMPANY!

Booked@ Travelodge 3/17. They couldn't find booking, took forever to find a room. Found one, get to the room, TV doesn't work, called, couldn't move to another room, couldn't fix it, the shower was nasty, long black hairs all over. Next morning the toilet stop working, nothing could be done about that either. Tried to get my money back to go somewhere else, I have to go through the party, still thing to get in touch with support till this day. My booking inset showing in my app at all.

Please don't use Hoppers price freeze if flight is less than $200. They make it seem like you are freezing the price and your money will go toward the flight, but they have a $200 cap. Once you freeze the price and if your flight goes up over $200 your flight is the amount froze and your price freeze money. What sense does that make? Why book a price freeze knowing it's a chance your flight can go up. It would make more sense to pay the price of the flight if it's lower than $200. I will only use Hopper to notify me when flights go down and then book from the Flight's website. Example I froze my flight for $137 for $56 per person and booked before my 7 days was up. I ended up paying the full $137 plus my $56 price freeze because they said they had a $200 cap. My trip had went up to $288 so the $56 was non refundable and they paid the difference. Now what sense does that make. If I had known that I might as well paid the $137 instead of $195.

I was searching through hopper and found a flight I was interested in. It allowed me to freeze the price for 2 adults and charged me $68. Later that day I was going through my transactions and saw they had made several withdrawals from my account in addition to the $ 68. They included $ 114, $14 and $1. Three separate transactions I had no idea about. I sent them an email and they replied telling me to use the help center in the app. They have no phone numbers to call and impossible to get a live chat on the app. Please be careful trying to book a flight with hopper! Never again!

This app isn't great, you will not get your freeze price money back and the freeze money you pay will not go towards your flight, also you can't communicate with them over the phone, you can only chat with them once you pay for the flight! A friend thought this was a good idea but nope, it's a headache... totally a scam... not worth it! Just pay for your flight because they are getting over, charging you to hold a flight for 14 days and it's so not worth it... Hardly any flight is that low or worth holding for $45 for $45 or more and you don't get it back... like come on

Hopper changed my flight without notification or my permission. After contacting American Airlines over a half-dozen times, I discovered that a change request had come from Hopper on March 11th, 2021. You can imagine my surprise after discovering the change the morning of my flight. It was a rather horrible experience that my flight was scheduled 5 hours earlier than my original booking.
Since then, contacting Hopper has proven nigh on impossible. As a result of the pandemic, Hopper has more or less dismantled their customer service arm. There is no phone number. There is not live-chat. The only option I have is an email service that is completely under water due to similar situations to mine. This is what happens when a "unicorn" tech start up prioritizes profits over customer experience. Not only did Hopper rob me of $225, but also they ruined my Sunday flight experience. As if flying isn't axiety inducing enough, the app managed to turn a regular return voyage into a catastrophic experience. Under no circumstances should you ever book with Hopper. I repeat this app is a hostage situation. Stay away.

I bought 2 tickets through Hopper and also purchased insurance. I had purchased previously through them as well. This time due to COVID, the airlines canceled my flight. I called the airlines and they said Hopper has the money. No phone number to contact Hopper. I filled with the insurance bought through Hopper and they denied my claim. This is terrible because the ticket prices are very much the same no matter where you buy the ticket. Hopper is the worst OTA. I will never buy anything through them.

The only reason they got 1 star was because I can't give them 0 stars! Very bad experience. I really advise you not to buy here unless you like trouble.
This app is the absolute worst if you need SOME help. I have been struggling to get a refund for a hotel cancellation for over a month. We even canceled the reservation in person at the hotel, because when we tried to do it in the app, hopper told us that the hotel had to authorize it in order to get the money back. The hotel confirmed that there was no problem and that the money would be in the account in a maximum of 5 days. It has been several days and we do not have a refund. According to Hopper, I can't get a refund until the hotel approves the refund, but I called the hotel myself and they said the refund was approved. Hopper simply sends emails asking "patience, they're working on it." but they haven't even contacted the hotel.
Hopper wants to prove that the problem is with the hotel, but it it's bad service. They don't provide the service they promise. The ABSOLUTE WORST customer service. Don't use this app

Last year my daughter booked us flights to Hawaii for March through Hopper. We also purchased the insurance. Due to Covid, our flight was cancelled. The insurance said that we were not covered for reimbursement as it was a Pandemic that caused our cancellation!?!?!? Hawaiian Air gave us until 12/31/2020 to rebook our trip. In December, we tried to rebook, but the island we were travelling to was not accepting outside visitors. The airline said that we were now able to be refunded in full but had to go through Hopper in order to get our money back. Well, we have gone through the steps as listed on the app, called corporate phone numbers that never get answered, and even tried a number that was given to us from a prior trip (which is now no longer in service). No one ever responds. We just want our money back, especially now that we have been out of work for a year.

I will NEVER book a flight with hopper again. I booked a flight and used the freeze price option. I booked the flight. We should get refunded the freeze option deposit.

They kept saying they refunded me but both my credit card and bank certified that they didn't receive any! They claim they refunded me on 4/9/2020. No record of it on my credit card. Don't trust Hopper. You can only chat and they will only answer if they want to. They don't have a legitimate phone you can call. I'll never use this site ever again. Beware!

Answer: File a claim with your bank. They charged me An additional 2 nights after hopper said they would refund my money. Instead they went without my consent n charged me an additional 2 nights. I was robbed for a total of 3 nights. Without being able to contact any support. A total Scam!
Answer: No they are about polar opposite of trustworthy. Run don't walk away from this company. My lesson cost $1435 dollars. If you require customer service look elsewhere they have none. Not even a phone number which is the first red flag.
