Their support team does not respond to anything that you might need help with. I booked a 3 night stay at a hotel and the hotel says they do not have my paid for stay. This is the second time I have had a major issue with their support team not doing what they should. I tried giving them a second chance and now I am out $700+ and they are not responding to the only support avenue they have allowed me.
I had a flight scheduled for tomorrow and changed it earlier in the week due to a change in plans and paid an additional $120 to have the flight changed. I had purchased insurance in addition to the flight in case of delays and was NOT made aware that if you change the flight that the insurance doesn't apply anymore which doesn't even make sense in the first place. My flight ended up being rebooked to the original date the night before the flight due to airport complications (so I lost my $120 right there). I messaged them to help issue a refund because I had bought insurance. I needed to get back home for an unexpected funeral. Once I messaged them, they said that my insurance does not qualify anymore and I will not be receiving a refund for $295. This app is an absolute scam. I used to recommend this app to everyone but will ensure that everyone I know will not even think about using this app for travel plans because they will scam you if something changes.
While I used to really enjoy the Hopper app because of how user friendly it is and easy to find cheap flights, the frustration I've experienced through cancellations/changes has ruined it for me. It is nearly impossible to get a hold of customer service, and when I do it is consistently a game of "you need to go to the airline for this" even though I had just spoken with the airline about the same issue. It's so difficult to rebook flights with credits and get refunds. I essentially lost $1200 because they would not refund a European trip even though I could no longer travel with the second passenger because they are elderly.
This app is great if nothing happens with your flight, but with the current conditions of traveling, proceed with caution.

The Hopper travel app is terrible. Do not use this to book anything! They eagerly take your money, but once booked you cannot even see your trip on their app and you cannot access customer service or get help of any kind. I will never ever use this app again and will tell everyone I know not to use it.

My experience with hopper was completely outrages. Travel already being so stressful, hopper made it 100 times worst. Multiple times they messed up my flight ticket to where the days were messed up and it took a week of emailing back and fourth, being handed off to different asscoiates, having to tell my situation over and over. Until I finally got someone on the phone, it was resolved so I thought. They ended up messing it up again and went through the same process.
A recent situation occurred for another flight and I had to call my bank to do a dispute. Hopper is a complete scam when dealing with certain associates. If you have a problem with your flight expect to go through hell trying to get it resolved.

Can't get s refund only carrot cash that has no monetary value. This company is a scam. They close at 5pm forbid anything happens if you do get your ticket or reservations and need to speak to someone through messaging (only way of contacting them) They closed at 5pm. I was going over my bank statement when I saw 2 charges for Hopper in the amount of $268.03 and $9.00. I went to the website to obtain a phone number to contact them to get my money back due to fraud and was unable to speak with anybody! Every number they give or have online refers you to the app and I can't do a dispute with them because I have no bookings! My bank says to reach out to them because my card number was used with my address! However I don't have an account with hopper nor have I ever used hopper the app! I will be filing a lawsuit for Fraud against hopper because I can not contact anyone to obtain my funds back

STAY AWAY FROM HOPPER! My wife and I booked flights 8 months in advance, thru Hopper. Subsequently we both contracted Covid in Dec of 2020. The tickets did say non refundable, but then nobody expected Covid to be so dangerous and omnipresent. CT scans have since shown scarring developed in both my wife's and my lungs. Dr. Told us we are risking another viral infection and serious consequences by flying and advised against this trip I called him telephone to request the $204.68 refund I was told I had to send an email I sent the email to Hopper and when I heard nothing I called and was told I needed a doctors note. Got the note and forwarded to Hopper who would only claim my tickets are non refundable. This agency is not very consumer friendly, and shows little desire to work with customers who have put their trust into booking w them, even in the midst of a worldwide pandemic. SHAME ON YOU HOPPER! You will never get me again!

I was notified a month ago that there was an update to my account, the change was for departing I had to leave earlier than what I selected. I was locked out of my email a few days after getting the notice. Of course when you call the *******760 number you do not get to speak with a live person. I listen to the recording and it stated "Make sure you have the most updated version of the app." I installed that app twice because when I selected the bear, the bunny would just be on the screen running. Even when I could select the links that is suppose to get you to an email, I couldn't. I read the instructions three times and then I noticed that my booking was gone. So, I have no booking to get to the email however, the other options I tried did not get me anywhere as well. There was no credit or follow up email that I have received on the manner. The wait time for American Airlines is two hours and trying to do a call back could be in the middle of the night or during work hours. This company is a fraud and a thief. I will get to the bottom of this if I have to call the secret service. Money is to fragile for company to be mishandling it.

There is no customer service number. There is no way to get ahold of customer service whatsoever unless maybe you actually have a booking through them. Tries setting up a booking put in my card info clicked submit and got a notification that the booking didn't go through for some reason. My card got charged the full price and since I dont actually have a booking I can't contact anyone...

I booked a hotel during one of the heaviest rain days of the year and with a 4yr child and we are not from Charlotte we traveled a 1000miles just for Hopper to steal from us! They charged me for a booking I never got! And with no contact number or someone to get this straighten out I am very angry and disappointed! Now I have no hotel and in the rain with my child and family I will definitely sue this company! I will NEVER BOOK with them and will tell everyone go somewhere else! I will make sure I post on Facebook and IG about this company on my pages with oved 30k followers I HATE THIS APP

I made so many bookings and accumulated points. And when I wanted to book my new flight it said my carrot cash is applicable towards this flight BUT hopper removed my bonus cash and gave me such a long run around that I lost the discounted price for my flight. I used to love hopper for the user friendly interface BUT I'm so upset about this I will never use them again. By the way most times Expedia is cheaper. I only used hopper cause I really used to like it. Oh well

Hopper ended up costing thousands of dollars more for an international flight.
When my 20 year old son tested positive for Covid and had to rebook his flight, Hopper charged an addition $1,000.
Then when he tested positive again and had to rebook his flight, Hopper won't give him credit for the original flight cost or the extra $1,000 he paid to rebook the first flight.
Other travel agents and booking companies give credits for those things. With Hopper, you don't get any credit towards a new flight and basically have to rebook a new flight on your own and pay full price.
It's just unethical for Hopper to do this to anyone let alone a 20 year old kid stranded alone in England, dealing with having Covid and trying to make it back to the US by Christmas.
Choose a legit company with some compassion, prides themselves on customer service and goes out of their way for customers. That's NOT Hopper.
Never received a refund for downgrading my wife's seat from an exit row seat. Customer support non-existent!

I'm so angry my husband reserved to flights that would be on hold for 7 days. The funds come out automatically on the last day. 5 days before our flight on he received an alert that his card has been charged for the flights we where happy, until minutes later he received an email from hopper that our flights have been canceled. We try for hours to speak with a representative of course that was not an option. They don't have a customer service number if you speak to a live person it's probably a Scammer. After reading several terrible reviews from people who have fell victim we try to message them via hopper app with no luck no one has reached out to us. We want someone to contact us immediately. We want our money back and we want answers to why our flights where cancel without reason. His bank won't give us our money back without contact from Hopper. I'm so angry we can't get another flight until our money is released.

I had already booked a 9 day stay thru my chase credit card but went on Hopper to see their price. It looked like it was 200.00 cheaper for the 9 days. I was going to see if I could get a price match and it offered a price freeze for 34.00. It turns out it was 34 a nite and over 300.00. Within 5 mins I was looking to find out how to cancel especially since I used my debit card. You cannot speak to a person. There is no booking info available to try to cancel and the fine print says you can only get a return in Carrot Money! What the freak! Also, their price does not include tax or fees.

I just started using this app as about a month ago and I am extremely disappointed. When I first was looking at flight tickets from NYC to SF they were $300. Hopper told me to wait until dec 5th because they would drop. They didn't. They kept increasing. Now hopper is saying to wait until dec 15th because they will drop. They aren't. I've now wasted hundreds of dollars and need to spend $500 on a ticket. What kind of scam business is this?

They do not honor price matches because they tell you computers are down to lie and they never contact you again to refund money. BEWARE!
They will tell you they will refund you, but it's a lie they don't.
Why are they permitted to exist and scam many people.

I received an email from Hopper saying my upcoming flight had changed. Went immediately on Air Canada's website only to find that they had deleted the first flight on my itinerary - no flight from Ottawa to Toronto. Hoppers' response was airline cancelled my entire flight. I went back on Air Canada's website to see that proposed flight by Hopper was available to be purchased - I did notice that the departing flight was now $608 more than the entire round trip flight! So now I lose my lower flight cost only to have to pay $800 for flights leaving and returning on same day. I will never use Hopper again!

Answer: File a claim with your bank. They charged me An additional 2 nights after hopper said they would refund my money. Instead they went without my consent n charged me an additional 2 nights. I was robbed for a total of 3 nights. Without being able to contact any support. A total Scam!
Answer: No they are about polar opposite of trustworthy. Run don't walk away from this company. My lesson cost $1435 dollars. If you require customer service look elsewhere they have none. Not even a phone number which is the first red flag.
