Today couple of hours ago i booked flight to India, through their incredible app, they declined my card, but deduct the money, and i began to contact them, no phone number, no email options literally nothing... This hopper is a hopless app... Please don't ever try this...
I will never use thus app again. They cost me and extra $120 over what my hotel would have cost. It said it was going to be $ 168 with taxes and fees included. Well inwas charged $249 + an additional $20 when I checked in. The hotel was nasty. The blanket were stained badly just so much was wrong with this room. I stayed at a Red Roof Inn in Fort Pierce FL. If I had the money I would have went somewhere else. I had no way to fund another hotel room. The manager there said there was nothing they could do they were booked full. When I complained to hopper they contacted the manager and they said I never said anything. Which is completely wrong.
I'm glad I had brought my only bedding and towels with me. Will not be going back to that location ever again. Or using hopper. Complete rip off both of them.
They added charges to my bill. That I never seen or approved then refused to refund them. This whole experience was horrible and the worst i have ever been thru.

Customer support is a mess. I'm trying to rebook using flight credit booked through Hopper and there is no phone support option. The only communication is through email and it's terribly slow to get rebooked. I've now dealt with 3 different support people, dozens of emails, and no one can actually book a ticket. I suspect that Hopper's goal is to delay rebooking as long as possible, so as to make it impossible to actually use the flight credit. I've learned my lesson and never booking with Hopper again.

Description of Complaint:
I did my first booking with the app Hopper on 4/14/22 for a hotel reservation. I selected the "price freeze" option for 15 minutes before going ahead and deciding to purchase booking. The "Price Freeze" deposit amount of $76.76 was clearly stated that it would be applied to my reservation balance when checking out and was risk free. When I completed my booking it was not applied to my reservation balance. I have since emailed with company multiple times (there is no other form of communication for customer support) and was informed that there should have been a "pop-up" stating that the Price Freeze deposit would only be applied to my reservation balance IF it was a "pay-now" reservation and not a "pay-later" reservation. My phone and my computer block and do not allow any pop-ups. I never received this information. It was also not stated anywhere on their site that this was the policy or that numerous reservations are ONLY pay-later options, had I been informed by the company of either of these two critical matters I would never have used their services or selected the "risk-free" price freeze deposit. The Price Freeze for the booking and the booking price were exactly the same since it had only been 15 minutes before completing my reservation-I did not even use the price freeze benefits. The company refuses to apply my deposit of $76.76 to my reservation booking. I have now canceled my booking and the company is refusing to return my price freeze deposit that was stated to be applied to my booking. They are only offering my $76.76 back to me in "carrot bucks" to be applied to another booking that expire in 6 months. The customer service is non-existent in resolving this matter and are sending me generic emails that are not addressing the issue of refunding my deposit of $76.76 that was never applied to my booking, and now since canceling booking refunding since I literally received no service or an actual booking from this company.

We used the hopper app to book our honeymoon. Less than week before our flight out we had a medical emergency arise causing us to have to cancel our trip. We only got 1/2 of our airfare refunded even with a letterhead from the doctor explaining why we weren't able to go. Want real advice. Skip the middle man, avoid spirit airlines and book directly with southwest.

Customer Service is a nightmare. I actually had a CS agent cancel my car rental, then I had to pay $100+ more for a new one. They offered me "Carrot Cash" (which is funny money with all kinds of restrictions. You cannot use a portion of your "carrot cash" on one rental, then use the remaining portion on something else. You literally forfeit any money that you don't "need" for the transaction. I tried to change a flight and they wanted to charge me $2,600 based on some penalty scheme they have where you pay for a first-class ticket even though you sit in economy. Their recommendation alerts told me to wait and I ended up paying twice as much as I needed to. And they expect "tips" for this service! Stay away!

I was on a road trip & close to 1am we decided to stop at a hotel for the night. I had seen ads about hopper finding last min hotel deals, which this was very last min. I downloaded the app & selected a hotel who's parking lot I was in (as the price on their website was a little more than hopper). I go inside to check in & they can't find me. I called & found out Hopper had it for check in later that day at 4pm due to it being after midnight when the reservations were made. I needed a room at that moment. I found out they charged me all this other stuff I didn't ask for & not to mention the price I originally saw for the hotel was not the price I got (they actually changed more than the hotel was charging). So much for a discount. I asked them to cancel everything since it was just done less than 10 mins ago. I was mad about all the confusion & extra charges. & fees. I ended up having to be on the phone w/ a rep for 30 mins, now close to 2am, exhausted as she is telling me she could only give me $20 of my $252 back! I had to pay the hotel to stay that night. The next day after a little rest, I called Hopper back & got a guy to refund me on the room portion of the bill... but I am still out $60! For some other fees & charges. That applied. So for less than 1 hour of interaction time w/ this company & getting nothing from them, I am out $60... for nothing! I will never use this app and will make sure everyone I know, knows what happened to me.

Do not use this chaotic, deceptive app. I was booking a hotel for Vegas. Every other App I've used (Expedia, Hotwire, Orbitz, etc) include the Resort fee so you get your total and breaks down what your paying. Hopper charges a $100 fee that makes it seem like you are paying resort fee. I ended up paying $75 more than if I booked directly with the hotel. Very shady practices.

Hopper is horrible when it comes to rental cars.
Don't fall for their price freeze scheme. I did so when I went to get the rental car and they wanted 3x the amount advertised. All attempts at contacting or resolving with Hopper have failed. I don't know why they have a toll-free number because you cannot get through to a live person. Although I contacted credit card company do do their terms and conditions I may not be able to dispute. But I can do is advertise all over social media to warn people against their practices

Hopper is so out of touch with customers' needs. They refused to refund my ticket until I got Federal Authority involved. Don't ever put your card on that website!

Got a hotel for one night and paid through Hopper. Got to hotel and gave my card for the $75 hold. Well hotel charged me too Bc Hopper never paid them according to the Georgian terrace hotel in Atlanta, Ga. Time to get BBB involved and make lots more review post I guess!

This price freeze is a scam! Don't do it. I decided to price freeze a flight that I wanted to take more time to decide. After 6 minutes of making up my mind to purchase the tickets. I followed the steps and selected the lowest rate for departures; I then selected the continue button to select my return ticket and of course there were no options. I then went back and selected the highest departure rate then hit continue to button to see all the returns being at that highest price. HOPPER SCAMED ME OUT OF MY $27 PLEASE EVERYONE DONT TRUST THIS APP INSTEAD USE GOOGLE FLIGHTS AND SELECT AND PAY THROUGH THEM!

Bought the trip insurance and it's worthless! Qualifying terms are nearly impossible to meet. Iost my flight due to work schedule conflict. Stick to purchasing direct from airline
I purchased the 100% no questions ask refund if you are not happy. Hopper has refuse to refund me after I did everything they asked for. Now they state I did not follow the correct process. I am out 653 and they ruined my family trips. I had 5 people in my party and was booked in a 2 person cabin. All I asked they honor my refund and I was deined. DO NOT USE THEM. Scam. FILED A COMPLAINT WITH THE BBB.

I fixed the price and did not work at all …plenty of better offers online! Your money can not be used for other flights, so they hook you and that it is!

The only way to communicate with customer service is via email. No actual phone or online chat is provided. This is a way to brush you off as easily as possible and not provide the best solutions for you. Once they brush you off, they will stop answering your inquiries. Therefore, leaving you no option but to lose money and flights. I will not continue using Hopper and just purchase tickets from the airlines itself.

We booked our trip user hopper. First of all it was a connection flight with a twelve hour lay over. When we got to the airport our 7 pm flight was cancelled.
We were rescheduled for a flight at 6 am the following morning. We slept at the airport. The problem is because we used a third party ((hopper). We had to pick up our baggage and recheck it in. No free baggage. Where you on the connecting flight the is a additional fee of $30for each bag you check in. In other words I paid $60 each way and returning another $60 because we had connecting on our return trip also.
There was also an extra free by hopper as the the middle man.
The fare they quote may seems cheaper,, but at the end I promise that will be paying more.

My friends and I purchased airline tickets, through Hopper, for a friends trip. However due to Covid our plans kept changing so we asked for either a refund, credit, or to be able to travel at a different time.
No one has gotten back to us. They told us we have to use our tickets within a month or we lose them. We can't get a hold of anyone to help us. I used to use hopper all the time but the fact they won't help me is upsetting. They've lost a loyal customer since I won't be using them again.
Be careful when you book on hopper. God forbid you get Covid and can't go on a plane and lose all that money.

I had trouable using the hopper app and I inadvertently did 2 freezes. When I only needed to do one freeze. They refused to refund me for it. Stay away from this company.

Answer: File a claim with your bank. They charged me An additional 2 nights after hopper said they would refund my money. Instead they went without my consent n charged me an additional 2 nights. I was robbed for a total of 3 nights. Without being able to contact any support. A total Scam!
Answer: No they are about polar opposite of trustworthy. Run don't walk away from this company. My lesson cost $1435 dollars. If you require customer service look elsewhere they have none. Not even a phone number which is the first red flag.

Answer: DO NOT TRUST THIS APP WHAT SO EVER! They booked 3 nights after I was waiting for my refund. TOTAL SCAM!
