Horrible

They're happy to take your money but they won't actually book the flight. And even though this is a common problem, common enough to have multiple FAQ articles about it, they won't actually do anything. They'll hold onto the money while lying and saying they're releasing it immediately and then escalate you and blame you for being frustrated after catching them in their lies multiple times with screenshots. Look for prices here if you want, although Momondo is cheaper, but never let them handle your money.

I've been trying to change my flight for like 3 days now haven't heard back from ANYONE on the chat. 24/7 customer service chat my a#%! Like the other reviews state, this is a con! Steer clear of this awful app!!!

Worst Travel App Period

Honestly the worst mistake I have ever made. I booked flights in May for trip to San Diego for my sons graduation from Marine Boot Camp in December. I got a notice yesterday saying my flights were changed and we will not be getting in on time. I have been trying for over 24 hours to get ahold of someone on this app with zero luck and no one to call bc they no longer have phone help desk. I send a message and it tells me they have high volumes and be patient. I think over 12 hours is more than enough patience. This is a very important event that it looks like I'm going to lose $500 for and have no flights. I'm beyond irate.

One of the worse application and service provider, very bad experience with this application and service. I've been waiting for 24 hours to get customer service , but still no luck. There's no customer service over email or phone but only through chat , that chat also very worse in customer satisfaction.

TERRIBLE

I wish I could give this app -5 stars , I don't understand ... how hard it is to have a phone number listed / available to contact and speak with a live person versus this " live chat " that is garbage . I was charged 94.30 on my account to United on top of tickets I purchased on idk what . Why aren't you guys fixing the problem ??? Why was I charged ??? I'll never again use this trash app . I'll stick to quality apps like Expedia !

Lost over $100

I did like Hopper the first time I used them. But the second, I went to look at flights, one priced at $185. The suggestion tells you to either wait on booking because prices will drop, or it will suggest to book now because they will not drop. It suggested I book now so I did. A month later the price is down to $75 and still decreasing. Very upset I trusted them

I've used and loved Hopper since it started, but they really let me down this summer when I had to change a flight because one letter was off in the spelling of the name. Had to pay $110 penalty and rebook, then they didn't put the refund through for several weeks saying it was because it was paid with a debit card. That was done in July and guess what? Still haven't got my refund in November. Even paid the $5 "tip" for better service. Shame on you Hopper!

I am attempting to cancel a flight without refund, and Hopper refuses to let me. Evidently I need to go through a person to cancel but their customer service people will not contact me so that I can cancel the flight.

Crashy mccrash crash

This app is actually great for what it's supposed to do when it works. I used it to book a bunch of different flights globally and I feel like I got good deals. Unfortunately this app has not played well with my phone since I upgraded to the XR. I've kept current with updates but it still crashes immediately upon launching.

I find it extremely inconvenient that you request pictures of our credit card information to verify that we have it, this is after I already used the correct card information to book the flight, as well as sent a picture as required but your employees can't seem to be able to read and want me to take time away from my vacation to send a better picture for them

Price Freeze Function

Super sick about this. Found a flight used the Price Freeze option for my group of 4. Not only did it not work when I returned to pay the system has been down since Thursday afternoon.

I sent messages via chat no response. I cannot find a phone number. The system is still down today. You cannot search or view anything you have in the "hopper" (no pun intended)

If the system is out at least send notification or post something.,

Terrible

Won't let me watch nonstop flights only, forces me to watch any flight or tells me to change my date, yet there are several nonstop on JetBlue available. Obviously hopper has its own agenda. Tried dozens of times. What a waste of time. Bye delete.

Good ticket price, but if you want to change or cancel ticket, it will take more the 4 days to get back to you, maybe one week, be careful when booking, unless you are for sure no changing

I booked flights via hopper in June. I received an email from hopper stating that my flights had been changed. First, scheduling 24 hours of flying time with a family traveling with a 3 and 5 year old is asinine. Secondly, you cannot SPEAK to anyone with customer service. It's all messaging over the app. I contacted the airline but they cannot change our flights without the hopper staff doing it. We were advised by the airline that we needed to get the changes made asap. As of now, it has been more than 3 hours since I left a message with the customer person on the hopper. It shows that my message has still not been seen. This experience has ruined my experience with the hopper. I will book my flights from now on.

Hopper is good enough I suppose if you just want to check the price of a flight and get some advice about buying. But under no circumstances should you buy tickets through the app. I bought standard fare tickets because I know I might need to change them. Sure enough I needed to make a change. The airline told me despite having paid for a standard fare, I could only make a change through Hopper. And that's where the trouble begins and ends. It's been over 36 hours, and despite numerous requests, Hopper won't respond except by robo mail. Meanwhile the fares are going up and selling out. If you buy on Hopper, your completely on your own if you need to make a change. And since you can't make a change on your own, you're just out the cost of the ticket. So use this to check a price, but never buy through them. It's basically a scam.
