The app glitched out the other night while I was trying to book a flight and it wouldn't let me slide to confirm my booking no matter how many times I restarted. I wanted to buy the flight on the app because I had $10 in freeze credits and wanted to make use of them rather than buying the flight directly from the airline site. Sadly by the time I went to buy the flight through the app the next morning, the flight was gone and all my freeze credits were wasted.
I love being able to shop for best price on bookings. I do not use any other applications except hopper.
Really loving the app and the price freeze feature is 100% in point. I used the price freeze feature and 10 hours later the price had gone up. I got refunded the differences within days. Highly recommended!
Loved using the Hopper app. It was much easier than having to constantly check all of the sites for the best deals. The Hopper app sends you friendly reminders of price fluctuations and availability.
This app is horrible took $265 dollars from me and there is no contact number or way to get a hold of them to get my money back. The only way to contact is if you have a confirmation of a flight. But I did not get one because bank blocked the plane tickets, so they only pulled out insurance and donations. So now I have lost that money and can't get it back because hopper has no way of contacting them. Do not recommend to anyone.
Such a lovely and intuitive interface! And so so helpful to be able to search - predict - receive alerts - and then book when ready all in the same app. AWESOME!!!
Since I have downloaded the Hopper app, I always end up using Hopper and don't even look at all the other websites that I used to search. I love it

Price freeze does not guarantee availability,which they state in the F&Q. But how would you know and what is the point if the availability is not guaranteed? I cant use the $5 i deposited or buy the ticket now that the price has gone up so much. Great!
Hopper predicted my flights would lower by a good amount on October 30th. So what do I do? WAIT. Prices of course kept increasing and then once October 30th hit it changed to "prices will lower during the next 4 weeks". Now I'm stuck with having to pay over $100 more for the same tickets I could have bought two weeks ago. I'll stick with justfly from now on!
I booked an international flight through Hopper. I paid extra to upgrade from basic economy to economy, which meant I would get one free checked bag, one free carry on, and would get to select my seat. I went to check into my flight through the airline and saw I was in basic economy. United said I had to go through Hopper since I booked through them. I have talked to multiple people and they are willing to "refund" me one checked bag and to buy one seat of no more than $40. Well, because I'm now stuck in basic economy, I don't even have the option to purchase a seat. I will now most likely get stuck in a middle seat for 11 hour flights. I also wasted over $200 for this "upgrade". This has been such a frustrating and disappointing experience.
As far as finding flights goes, it's fine. However, it's impossible to get ahold of someone in a timely manner which isn't ideal when it comes to making travel arrangements. It took hours for someone in their 24 chat to respond to my message. When they did it was at four in the morning. They simply regurgitated the information provided by the bear AI and acted like that was somehow helpful.
I was able to solve my issue on my own with the help of the airline in question, but they fact that I'd booked through Hopper made the whole process harder, rather than easier.
I was looking to book a flight home. The flights listed were $1700, Hopper told me to wait I. Case it dropped to $1600. It continued to tell me to wait. Now I'm here, one month away from. My flight date and it's telling me to buy at $500 above what I could have purchased it for if I hadn't trusted this stupid app. That's $1000 out of my pocket this holiday season thanks to Hopper. Rubbish app. I tweeted them and they just ignore people. Do not trust this app, it will cost you.
No phone support is available and no one responds back to emails or chats for support. I used to use Hopper frequently, now I most definitely will not be using or referring this app.
The best way to use this app is for the pricing notifications. But it often triggers errors when opening notifications. Most recently, I attempted to purchase a flight, received an error, got funds drawn from my account and don't have an option an all to speak to someone from hopper to clarify the error. It's pints me towards an article that says it's "likely" due to the airline not having a seat available and *shrug* you should get your money back soon. It's an absolutely garbage customer experience and I will never use this again.
I have booked a couple of tickets using Hopper, and I have always been satisfied. However this time, I'm not happy with the lack of communication. I tried to book a ticket to Peru and it did not show me a confirmation, so I did it 5 times because I had no confirmation that the transaction went through. This is were I admit my mistake, I should have stopped after the first time. I got 5 pending transactions from AA. I tried contacting Hopper by a chat option they have on their app. I did not get a response (this happened on 11/1/19), I figured since it was the weekend they would probably reply later or the next day to try and fix the problem with me. Well, it is 11/4/19 and the problem hasn't been resolved. I had to call my CC company and ask to monitor those charges so they don't go through, and if they do to dispute them. The worst part of all, is that I couldn't even find a phone number on their website to contact someone!
Answer: File a claim with your bank. They charged me An additional 2 nights after hopper said they would refund my money. Instead they went without my consent n charged me an additional 2 nights. I was robbed for a total of 3 nights. Without being able to contact any support. A total Scam!
Answer: No they are about polar opposite of trustworthy. Run don't walk away from this company. My lesson cost $1435 dollars. If you require customer service look elsewhere they have none. Not even a phone number which is the first red flag.
Answer: There is no customer service, no phone number and no one will address your concerns on social media, or through their app.
Answer: DO NOT TRUST THIS APP WHAT SO EVER! They booked 3 nights after I was waiting for my refund. TOTAL SCAM!
