Grub Hub Cancelled our order 15 minutes after we were to receive delivery. Ordered from Chick Fil-A at Short Pump to be delivered by Grub Hub.
So I got a Taco Bell order with 3 items missing. It was late and the driver didn't know which direction was West or South. I was refunded the money for the missing items. So 2 of my guests got no dinner, well later they traveled out to get their dinner. So Grub Hub felt fine with just refunding money from the missing items, so I hit them up on customer care chat. The first lady closed the chat on me with out even resolving any issues while ignoring my typed words. When I got hold of someone willing to help I told them I felt that since the driver didn't double check the order I should get some compensation. They refunded me the tip rather than give me a discount for my next order which is what I wanted. So they rob from their employees when they probably didn't give them proper training in the first place. Pretty sad here guys... I heard but am not sure, that there isn't any training at all.
Apparently Grub Hub doesn't understand that they should not get paid for delivering only half of your order. This was the second time that I had to call customer service about part of order being missing. They said no adjustment to charges because the restaurant later delivered what the driver left behind. Will not be using Grub Hub again.
I placed a scheduled order. When the restaurant opened, the order was confirmed. 8 minutes before it was due to arrive, Grubhub texted me and said the order was unexpectedly canceled by the restaurant because it was closed or not taking orders. I called the restaurant. They said the order was complete and ready to go when my order disappeared from their screen. I called Grubhub, they repeated what they texted me. I told them I called, the restaurant was open, my food was ready. They attempted to call the driver. The driver didn't answer. Grubhub said they'd resubmit the order. I was assured the order was resubmitted before I hung up the phone. I called the restaurant, the order wasn't resubmitted. In case these things aren't immediate, I called the restaurant 30 minutes later. My order still hadn't been resubmitted. I arranged to pick up my order. I had to order a Lyft to go get the food. I picked it up as soon as I could, approximately 2 hours after it was ordered and prepared. Not so fresh huh? Although my funds are being refunded, I'm quite disappointed with this service. This is the second consecutive time Grubhub has proven unreliable. In light of this pandemic, providing the service you offer and advertise would be extremely helpful! Just my thoughts.
My apt (of a 2 story building) is accessible from the outside. They didn't bring my food to my door - even though I gave instructions to use the staircase on the left hand side of the building. They left my order at the front of the building. This means that I, a person in quarantine because of a positive COVID-19 test, HAD TO LEAVE MY APT and go get my food! This defeats the purpose of using Grubhub in the first place! There was also no communication that it had arrived until several min after the actual delivery. Food was cold. And they don't check with you to ask how your experience was... I'm sure because they know they're doing a $#*!ty job and don't want to hear it. This was my first experience with GH. And it will be my last. Grubhub... Do you know what exponential means?
I've seen tons of cheap (unappreciative) people. To us grub hub offer good service. However their drivers get low pay most of the time. Come on people, I'd get up go pick up the food if I don't wanna pay for the services.
Ordered my food at almost 12pm and was told it would arrive between 1230-1245. Then I received a notification stating it would arrive between 1-110. Then received notice that it was actually on the way and would arrive between 1245-1255.
After waiting until 1255, I checked the status and it said delivered and a text notification was sent. LIES! I NEVER received my food nor a text!
My delivery driver was Mary according to the rep on the phone. She called Mary to find out the details and told it was left on my porch. LIES! I asked the rep to call her again and have her describe the house and car but nope, she refused to call her again.
She sent me to the manager and he just offered a refund and a $25 discount to reorder. I took the refund but laughed at the discount bc I'd NEVER use them again, you couldn't pay me to! Livid is an understatement! Save yourself trouble, don't use them!
I have been using delivery apps for about three months now but so far only used Door Dash and goPuff, no issues. Today i used Grub Hub and instead of reading the reviews for the overall service i just looked at the restaurant reviews (KFC). I ordered my food at 836pm, total was 33.00 and then money was immediately taken from account, waited and waited and waited, then at 912pm, order was shown picked up and the driver picture was on my app. Restaurant is about 5 minutes from my house and app said it was about 20 minutes ETA. NO food as of 945 so i call GrubHub, the rep said he was one minute from my house and to start heading towards door. Then at 1005 my order showed delivered and unfortunately it wasnt to me. I contacted GrubHub again and the lady asked me to confirm all my info again and said let me put you on hold while i call the driver. Then about 5 minutes later she came back and said i called him three times and he wont answer the phone. She immediately said sorry i got an email instantly about a refund of the cost and then she said give it about 5 business days. That was it... makes absolutely no sense. Dont use if you look online its mainly negative reviews and refunds. That just shows you how bad it must be, the drivers wont even answer the phones when their boss is calling. So i will just wait the 5 business days and see what happens lol...
So after a long day at the pool and shopping, me and my kids were starving. We got home and decided to order McDonald's from GrubHub. I placed our order for two happy meals and a crispy chicken sandwich. GrubHub said our order would be at my location in less then 15 minutes. So instead of waiting 15 minutes, we actually waited for 3 hours and 45 minutes. I called GrubHub to see what was going on with my order and they said the driver was outside. So I looked outside and the driver was actually outside but then I looked into the car window and I saw him eating my food. So order from GrubHub if you don't mind losing money, eaten food, and the driver being many hours late.
This is not the first time Grubhub $#*!ed up. A few weeks ago they never showed up. Today they delivered to the wrong address. Seems like a great short sale. Never again!
I have used GrubHub twice now and 2 out of 2 times I never got my food delivery. This time I contacted customer service and was lied to and told that the restaurant was holding my order for the driver to arrive, eventhough the restaurant was closed, and it would be to me soon. Well, two minutes later GrubHub cancelled my order... Wasted 2 hours waiting for food that never came
We ordered our food hours ago. The website first changed the delivery address, then cancelled or deleted the order. We received no notification, no error message, nothing to tell us it was cancelled. The order was never even sent to the restaurant. Our Grubhub account shows no order was placed at all, but we can't find out whether they charged us for the order. There's no order #, no contact #... nothing.
The order had large extra fees added for a supposed driver tip, larger than what we agreed to pay. That adds up to a fair bit when the food is $68.
I waited 3 hours to have my order cancelled NEVER USING GRUBHUB AGAIN! Door dash delivery it in 30 minutes. So pissed!
Yesterday May 7th 2020 was my first time planning an order with Grubhub. I waited 2 hours for my food only to get a call saying the driver delivered my food to some other customer. Then I get asked if I wanted to reorder. HELL TO THE NO!
At the tail end of things they wouldn't offer me anything to keep me as a customer.
Tried for first and ladt time. Didn't deliver my food. Went to go pick it up still no food. On hold twice for over 20 mins no apologies no nothing. I'm done... do not order Grubhub...
NO any order from Grubhub any more, online order, no email me receipt, over charge one more order, no response, NO ONE PICK UP customer service phone, no email response
Really bad experience
I ordered $140 BBQ takeout for first time through Grub today, not impressed. App said 45 minutes for food delivery. I received an email 45 minutes later saying I should have my food in 15 minutes. A half hour later I tracked my delivery and it showed food was delivered 15 minutes ago. I contacted customer service and was placed on hold for 10 minutes while they tried to contact my delivery person. CS told me their mailbox was full so they could issue a refund. I said I don't want a refund, my family wants to eat. They cut me off and cancelled my order (refunded)
Don't order from here. They took about 40 dollars off my card when I ordered and they was dead wrong for that. I wouldnt recommend ordering from them ever again. These people are sick, filthy, and ratchet, stealing liars then want to lie and say no this never happened. My food costed $23 then to check on my card it costed 60 dollars. I tried refunding it and they said they was going to refund me $13. That right there just ruined my day. Grubhub sucks.
Me n my fiance done ordered twice off of you all for food& both orders were messed up both Times, Me& my fiance will be taking your app off of our phones & ordering with uber eats; you guys are unprofessional in a Time like this where money is scarce & you all are already over charging for delivery services, I deliver for uber n they tell you to check the order; But also when you come to pick up order they ask you who are you picking up for? So how did I get the wrong order? I ordered 2 cheeseburgers meal n my daughter ordered ha food n all they sent us was a 10pc nugget & fry n drink that we didn't order at all smh... I am sick of these businesses trying to take advantage!
If i can give 0 stars i would the way my food looked when arrived it looked like they literally stepped on it or even chewed on, my sandwich, so disappointed and disgusted by the way my food looked this being my first time ordering I will never ever order with Grubhub again Stay Away
Answer: I travel for a living and have experienced the lousy service that is Grub Hub. From Philadelphia PA to Shreveport LA and multiple other cities THIS SERVICE SUCKS. There's nothing good to say about it.
Answer: Both. But he is not alone, unfortunately. He only got exposed. Millions others are working in politically intolerant places. We have to change that.
Answer: Yes, it is normal. Original delivery times are almost never met. No drivers, Lost Drivers, Poorly trained or untrained drivers.
Answer: LOL... no kidding right! How can places take 2 hours to get food to you and not necessarily at a peak time. Good luck! Hope you were able to cancel it, but wonder if it showed up in the mean time. For this reason I no longer use a card but pay cash when I get the food. Hope you've managed to eat something by now.

Answer: Answer: Grub Hub does suck big time. No real answer. If you like cold food, delivered late and an "oh well" customer service attitude, Grub Hub is the company you should use.
Answer: They just don't care. Company motto must be "customer comes last". They simply trying to salvage whatever market share they can before they get bought out by a superior service that actually cares about customers.
