I work for grubhub and assure you they are the absolute worst company anyone could ever be a customer or employee of. They provide zero support, zero communication, antiquated technology, insanely exorbitant customer fees and the lowest driver pay in the industry (I also deliver for DoorDash and Uber eats and earn TRIPLE with them what I earn with grubhub.) Grubhub charges their customers more than the other guys AND pays their drivers less- all while providing the hands-down worst driver and consumer experiences in the industry. They won't last much longer at this rate!
Listen GrubHub, you are losing loyal customers. I've been using you all for the past 3 years. I never had an issue until my last 4 orders. 3 of the drivers were combative with me over the phone as I was patiently giving them directions and then would inevitably like children hang up on me. To be fair, you all rectified the situation every time. But my order tonight was my last straw. I had an hour wait time on a fast food order with a restaurant 5 minutes away with a good size tip. No driver was picking it up until the ETA window and finally someone came on but they didn't go immediately to pick up my order. The were delivering other orders. 25 minutes later, they went to pick up my now 1.5 hr old order and still went in the opposite direction of my home, I assume to deliver some more?! My goodness, you all have THE worst drivers, ever. Tonight, like I said earlier, was my last straw. I can't handle the unprofessionalism, tardiness, and just complete lack of understanding that you all are providing a service: to pick up food from point A and deliver to point B. That's it. There shouldn't be any more things in between. I cannot deal with this company any more. It's truly NOT worth the headache ontop of the wallet rape that goes on. Bye, bye grub hub. We are breaking up for good.
Because of a pretty serious health thing, friends recently gave me two gift cards, one was for $565, the other $100 so that I wouldn't have to worry about meals. It was very thoughtful, but NEVER do this. For delivery, by the time about three different fees are tacked on, a meal will be twice as much as its original cost.
Then there's all the tech glitches. Today, after (mostly successfully) being able to use my GrubHub gift cards, my orders wouldn't go through. S customer support person said I would hear something in 48 hours. Two days. GrubHub took $665 of my friends' money for something I now can't even use and they can't even tell me why.
I can't emphasize enough: Don't ever use GrubHub or Seamless. Just send your buddies some $ via Zelle or something. These food delivery places are a ripoff.
I placed a pre order 2 days before the scheduled delivery time. I confirmed the order 24 hours prior to the delivery time. But the time to deliver just kept getting delayed from 10 mins to more than an hour. It was to be delivered at 7 PM and now am informed it might be delivered around 8:20 PM and it has not even been picked up as yet. So, not sure if I will even get the order tonight.
Received a message that food was on the way then another saying my food is here... here where? This is my second and last time using them. I guess they pick up the food and have lunch on you!
My account was randomly locked and they wouldn't be able to unlock it for at least two days... Because their error message was something generic like "you cannot place an order at this time" I spent like 45 minutes trying to place an order using different cards, trying different restaurants, etc... Absolutely horrible
You can count on either getting your correct order, or actually getting your order about 50% of the time! I'm not sure what the hiring process is for Grubhub, but my 13 year olds are smarter and pay more attention than most of the delivery drivers. Anyone could begin a delivery service and force current delivery services out of business just by hiring smart people. We're over it!
Cold, inedible food was delivered to me this evening, and when I asked to be refunded all they offered me was a $5 coupon. I work in the service industry and this line of customer support is wholly unacceptable.
I used doordash for years til I found gubhub they have excellent service always on time and everything is priced lower that doordash plus doordash fee suck you pay for dash pass to get no delivery fee but that is not always the case always seem to get orders wrong call customer service and all doordash says we're sorry but by then they have your money please wake up as I did doordash has more advising on TV but don't let v then fool you use grubhub you will never look back as I haven't.
I have tried to order food twice since moving into my house in the past year The first time I knew it was GrubHub needless to say I ended up cancelling my order because no one ever picked it up. This time we had been waiting for quite awhile and no one had ever picked it up we did not know that the restaurant used GrubHub if we had we would not have ordered it. Again no one picked it up we went back and forth with GrubHub who we did not contact and the restaurant we where about to call for a refund when someone picked up are order. That should have been here but still has not shown up. This is a joke if I ever need to order food and it is GrubHub I will not be ordering and will probably just go pick up whatever I want from here on out no matter who it is.
I have had my fair share of problems with apps such as DoorDash and such but GrubHub by far topped it as the worst delivery food service I've ever used. They are not reliable and if your driver makes you uncomfortable they will keep you with the same driver stating they cannot change anything on their end. Not to mention I ordered food and had it refunded because it was disgusting and cold and I used a Grubhub promo for it and they somehow took $17 off my card. The lady wanted me to state my card number on Grubhub support to escalate it and I just said screw it and let them rob me. So do not use Grubhub seriously don't. I also had placed a Panda Express order and waited almost 2 hours for it because my driver supposedly "got into a wreck" so I cancelled the order and replaced it and ended up with the same driver who never picked up my fresh food he gave me the food from the first order. His name was JAMES.
I place an advanced order 10/28/2022 for the following Monday, 10/31/2022. I received an email a couple of hours before my scheduled delivery. It stated my order was cancelled by the pizza place, too many orders from others, etc. Instead of GRUBHUB dropping the authorization, as the emails said they would do, the charged me instead. I spoke to some outsourced country for GRUBHUB, and they said the order was cancelled, I have to wait 3-5 days for the refund. Why charge me at all? NEVER USE THEM!
On October 23, I ordered food through Grubhub. I had instructions listed in the delivery notes section with my door code. I understand that things happen, but the driver did not bother to call and say he was having trouble. Instead, he tossed my food on top of mailboxes downstairs and marked it as delivered. I contacted Grubhub because I do not feel I should pay a tip for that kind of service. They promised a $5 credit that I never received. When I tried to contact them again, the agent was extremely rude. With the cost of delivery so high as it is, I will never use this service again. I cancelled my membership and although most companies at least give you until the expiration date of your membership, this company ends it straight away, keeping the money you spent if you had a year long membership. It doesn't matter because I refuse to buy anything else from them, but still, poor customer service, poor delivery experience and sketchy practices concerning membership.
I ordered food from china max. Didnt get 1 meal out of 4 that i ordered. So i called back and they would not redeliver my food after waiting an hour. All they could do was give me a refund. This is bad buisness and would defintely tell people to not use their service at all. Just plain Rude...
I placed a $225.00 order for WaWa food and without telling me they cancelled the order. In the meantime I had 22 people waiting on food. When I called to see why cancelled they said that I had never placed a large order before? Well they not only lost my business which our office orders for our employee's everyday for all the employees, but WaWa lost an order also. Thank god for Door Dash they didn't squint an eye, I placed a pizza order with Anthony's Cold Fire and both were excellent. I would not recommend grub hub to anyone. Also was told if I needed the reason why they refunded my card that it would take 24-48 hours.
I ordered a 40 dollar lunch for my family and left a 30% tip only for the driver to suddenly report that the food was delivered when it was not. I called the driver and it redirected to a different number and full mailbox. I contacted Grubhub online chat multiple times and they never once responded to my concerns and would leave the chat within a few minutes without a word.
No liability whatsoever. The employee stole from me and they couldn't even refund the tip I left! Terrible service.
I have never had a problem with GrubHub food or delivery.
The website, however, is painful: search & filter options are pathetic. I cannot filter or even sort by delivery cost. If I search for Asian food, Popeyes, Pasqually's Pizza & Wings & KFC are on page one. I am working in a strict company budget, but there is no way to filter menus by budget. Every week I scroll through pages of restaurants who are outside my budget or not what I am looking for.
I placed an order an asked for face to face with my food but the dum Gump put on order"food" on my ground an it was cold, so now my food is cold, I didn't even know it was out there. Sucked, they tried to give me a 7.00 dollar credit wtf! Due to they DUM driver my 27.00 order was cold! Mf's I want ALL my money back! I placed an order at 6:08 am for breakfast. Granted the place I ordered from is a bit further than I normally order and it was to take about an hour for delivery. I got an alert saying it would be later. The deli called me and asked if the order was still valid. I told them I got an alert saying that the order would be delivered around 8:15. At 7:40 I got a text telling me something went wrong, and they needed to cancel my order. What went wrong is that there was no driver willing to pick up and deliver my order. I am a good tipper as I know that gas prices are higher and well, I tend to be generous. This is not the first time this has happened. I even had an order cancelled with the excuse that the store was closed & it was not closed. They compensate by giving a $5 credit when they are late. What about when they cancel? Especially when you are waiting over 2hrs for the food that is supposed to be delivered immediately? I understand things happen but it is happening WAY too often
Answer: I travel for a living and have experienced the lousy service that is Grub Hub. From Philadelphia PA to Shreveport LA and multiple other cities THIS SERVICE SUCKS. There's nothing good to say about it.
Answer: Both. But he is not alone, unfortunately. He only got exposed. Millions others are working in politically intolerant places. We have to change that.
Answer: Yes, it is normal. Original delivery times are almost never met. No drivers, Lost Drivers, Poorly trained or untrained drivers.
Answer: LOL... no kidding right! How can places take 2 hours to get food to you and not necessarily at a peak time. Good luck! Hope you were able to cancel it, but wonder if it showed up in the mean time. For this reason I no longer use a card but pay cash when I get the food. Hope you've managed to eat something by now.

Answer: Answer: Grub Hub does suck big time. No real answer. If you like cold food, delivered late and an "oh well" customer service attitude, Grub Hub is the company you should use.
Answer: They just don't care. Company motto must be "customer comes last". They simply trying to salvage whatever market share they can before they get bought out by a superior service that actually cares about customers.
Answer: Nothing. By this inaction I would say to quit using this bad business. Go with UberEats or maybe try getting your own food.
