If I could give the 0 stars I would. They allowed me to place an order for a restaurant that was CLOSED. Not only did they say they say that I have to wait to get my money back, they also made it seem as though it was my fault that they were closed. Please save your time, energy, and money. They are also always late.
I placed an order at 6 pm, got the confirmation on screen that the order was received and should deliver by 7:20. By 8 pm, I called the number provided, which is another company - Food For Delivery or something like that. They had no record of my order and told me to call the restaurant or a number they had for GrubHub. Called both, GrubHub put me on hold for ages, meantime spoke to the restaurant who also had no record of my order. Finally the GrubHub line picked up, and told me the restaurant uses another delivery service, basically blaming them, and that they would call and check - basically calling the same number I did to begin with, and they were told the same thing - order not received. Massive run around, meantime my credit card is already charged. GrubHub canceled the order and promises a refund, which I have to wait 3 - 5 days to receive on my card - if I ever do. This is the second time I've used them, first time food was pretty late but at least it got here. Wish I'd seen the reviews here before I used them. I won't use them again until I see at least 4 starts on this site. Recommend staying away from this company.
Promised one hour delivery. Took 2.5. Called customer service, took one hour to get through. Told me an hour was just an estimate, saw no issue with it taking 2.5. Disconnected when I asked for a manager
They have a very poor performance in taking off restaurants that are closed. Numerous times we have put an order in, and found out 30 minutes after ordering that the restaurant is closed.
I would give them a zero if I could. My friends ordered a couple of large meals through Grub Hub (more than 24 hours in advance) for my family who experienced a death in our family. They wanted to do something nice for us and provide us a few meals during a difficult week. 42 minutes before the first day they ordered meals service, my friend who ordered got an email that said "Hey there, We have some less-than-ideal news about your order. Long story short, we weren't able to place it with the restaurant. If you have any questions, please call our customer service..." No apology. No nothing. They had contact details for both my friend who ordered, and us who was receiving the meal. They should have immediately picked up the phone to inform us so that we were not left waiting for a food delivery that never came. A phone call directly to them provided no apology to my friend either. Needless to say my friends canceled the remaining orders. It an unacceptable way to run your business and you should be ashamed!
I called them to tell them that my order wasn't complete and instead of sending the food I so patiently waited for the threw money at the situation.
Ordered lunch for work group because we were too busy to go out. 1 hour and 20 minutes later get call that the order is cancelled because 3rd party delivery company doesn't have any drivers until 4pm. They couldn't let me know earlier? You know early enough so my team could still order pizza and have time to eat lunch. Instead they lied and said they'd tried to contact me earlier- not true- no missed calls. I'll never use eat24 again.
Driver decided to use our newly seeded front lawn to park instead of our nice driveway. He proceeds to get stuck. No clue why he did this! After an hour trying to get him out, we had to call a tow. No choice. Driver states he can't afford a tow. We are stuck with the bill. Grub Hub refunded the dinner bill which is nice, but doesn't come close to making up for the tow. Oh! But they did give me a 10$ coupon for a future order! Yay! That totally makes up for a $130 tow bill and the yard damage. Thanks Grub Hub!
GrubHub is horrible. Way too expensive and took 2 hours to receive my food from a restaurant that was a 7 minute drive. I was quoted an hour to get the food- which still seemed like a long time, but since it was around lunch time, I tried to be understanding. 2 Hours later I received my food. No utensils and my soup was completely cold.
I will never use grubhub. Driver took 20 mins to deliver meals and restaurant is only 5 mules away. It was short one kids meal. Restaurant said manager and bar manager confirmed all my food was in the bag for delivery but meal was missing upon delivery. Driver would not go back aND deliver us missing kids meal. I had to go get it myself. Very upset and won't ever use service again
I am visiting SF with my 6 year old son. The hotel does not have room service so they pushed this. I use similar successful services at home so I tried it. First, the app is a mess. I checked on the order after about 70 minutes, and Eat24 said it had left the restaurant. About 30 minutes later (pushing 2+ hours on order and almost 10 pm), I get email saying order is cancelled because the third party delivery service the restaurant used had stopped delivering early. So, Eat24 had lied earlier. They also texted me with a number that did not take calls or texts, making it close to impossible to contact them directly. (I want one of those numbers!) When I called the restaurant, they had nothing nice to say about Eat24. After about 30 minutes, a very junior customer service person from Eat24 called and said my credit card had been refunded, and she would process another order for me. Not a free order. I assume that order might have arrived at 3 AM if everything went "right".
I have run start-ups and customer service for other organizations, and I can say with close certainty that this organization will fail. Lying to customers, poor partner relationships, reliance on third party delivery service, convoluted communication ststems, and poor customer service are all guarantees of failure. She said her manager did not authorize her to do anything else. They are doomed. I would avoid them unless your goal is not to feed your family and to get a migraine headache.
Ordered food from Grubhub for the first time today... Says (Order will be ready from 9:20-9:30pm)...
So i start driving over there...
I get to my location, AND there's no store front location.
Every single thing on that block is closed...
So i call up GrubHub, and I ask.
Me- "Why did you send me to a location, and take my money... without knowing that the store does not exist?"
Guy- "Oh, well there is a location off of Franklin in Oakland."
Me- "Yeah, but you didn't send me to that location, you sent me to the one off of MacArthur in Oakland. Also I called them and they closed at 7 pm... I ordered my food at 8:45, why would it even go through if the business is closed? Please just refund my money, I will never use this service again."
Moral of the story: Don't use GrubHub if it completely and utterly sucks the first time you use it.
I placed my order. Showered. Left home and get the the restaurant 35 minutes later. I arrive and the restaurant advised that they didn't have the item I ordered and that they had advised Eat24.Com 30 minutes ago about it. As I was standing there talking to the employee, I got a text message about it. I wouldn't recommend anyone using this garbage site.
I used eat24 to order food. The same day, my account was drained of funds by someone taking from a ATM machine without having my card holding a chip. Too much of a coincidence as I never had a problem.
I recently tried using grubhub on vacation in Myrtle Beach, SC. The first time I used it, I accidentally touched an item on the menu and it added it to my order. I was not able to remove it. When the order came it was missing an appetizer. I called the restaurant, they said the appetizer was not submitted to them and they have this trouble all the time with grubhub. It was still on my bill. I am out almost $20! The next time I used it, it worked fine. The third (and last time) I used it, it would not accept the credit card I had on file, which I had used the previous 2 times. I engaged the "Contact us" and had the option of chatting with someone or calling. Since I was getting steamed, I chose chat. All that Billie the chatter did was to suggest a multitude of things that I should trouble shoot. After trying some of these, I asked Billie if he could access my account and see what the problem was. He said he was not able to do that, that he was not really customer service?! That ended our chat. So here is what I did and recommend, especially if you are out of town and are not familiar with the restaurants: use grubhub to find restaurants that deliver, then look up the restaurant phone number and order directly with them. That uses grubhub as what it really is best at, showing you restaurants for deliver/take out and avoids any need for customer service. Grubhub as search engine! Happy Eating!
Waited hr and a half... no food just a bunch of b. S from restaurant and grubhub. Never again will I be ordering from them.
The website is easy enough to use, however, I placed my order@ 21:30 and at 23:15 I received an email stating my order was canceled. I called the restaurant and they said my food was ready, but that they had been told I canceled the order. I had done no such thing. I contacted GrubHub via chat and was told they did not have a driver available to deliver my order. What? She said they had drivers, but not any that could take my order. WTH kind of set up is that? So, for the inconvenience, GrubHub sent me a $5 coupon. One that I will NOT be using.
Ordered food from Chili's after looking up available delivery at mhy address. I ordered at 6:30 and was told would be to me by 7:55-*8:05. It never came so when I contacted Grubhub they said Chili's never got the order and if I do it now would take 2 hours! Don't order from here!
Tried to use this app, it locked up my iphone 6, and had to reboot it. Its obvious this app is poorly written software. Not recommended

Answer: I travel for a living and have experienced the lousy service that is Grub Hub. From Philadelphia PA to Shreveport LA and multiple other cities THIS SERVICE SUCKS. There's nothing good to say about it.
Answer: Both. But he is not alone, unfortunately. He only got exposed. Millions others are working in politically intolerant places. We have to change that.
Answer: Yes, it is normal. Original delivery times are almost never met. No drivers, Lost Drivers, Poorly trained or untrained drivers.
Answer: LOL... no kidding right! How can places take 2 hours to get food to you and not necessarily at a peak time. Good luck! Hope you were able to cancel it, but wonder if it showed up in the mean time. For this reason I no longer use a card but pay cash when I get the food. Hope you've managed to eat something by now.

Answer: Answer: Grub Hub does suck big time. No real answer. If you like cold food, delivered late and an "oh well" customer service attitude, Grub Hub is the company you should use.
Answer: They just don't care. Company motto must be "customer comes last". They simply trying to salvage whatever market share they can before they get bought out by a superior service that actually cares about customers.
Answer: Nothing. By this inaction I would say to quit using this bad business. Go with UberEats or maybe try getting your own food.
