TERRIBLE SERVICE

First experience with Grubhub was terrible. Order took two hours to get to us even though restaurant was less than 5 miles away and arrived cold. To the restaurant's credit what we ordered was still tasty event when cold. I tried to provide the company feedback and they were not interested. And yes, they do charge you up front so you meal money is in their hands while you watch your delivery times go cuckoo.

Estimated 1hr delivery, took a 2.5 hours. Driver calls us at 2 hour mark saying he's here but is on opposite side of town, blames us for incorrect address even though order said correct one. Says he'll be there in 15 minutes. 20 minutes later he calls and is at an apartment that isn't ours, starts yelling on the phone because he won't/can't type it into his GPS and wants us to explain directions. We have to give step-by-step instructions without totally understanding where he is to guide us to the apartment, the whole time he's rude and yelling. Contact customer support via email within 24 hours, don't hear back, send another email 48 hours after original order, never hear back. Get on customer support chat with them a week later and are told that nothing can be done because it's been more than a week and they didn't receive our email.

Grubhub has shown us a trend of blaming us for issues instead of practicing customer courtesy and vowing to make things right. We were begrudgingly offered a coupon and told that they consider the case resolved and there's nothing else they're willing to do.

Luckily, we're in a big city and have plenty of delivery options so we will not have to use GH again! Definitely recommend Favor, UberEats, DoorDash, Doorstep, Seamless over GrubHub 10 times over. All have great customer service and accept responsibility rather than place blame on customer. If you have other options, use them! Service and support will both be better with any other company. All 3 support people we spoke to were somewhat rude and unhelpful and placed blame repeatedly on us.

Our $15 credit will sit in our deleted account/app forever. No thanks :)

Horrible customer service

I've used this service many times without incident... until Saturday. 2.5 hours and a "technical glitch" resulted in no food... AFTER they supposedly called the restaurant. Ordered pizza for my kids at 5:15; was supposed to be there between 6 and 6:15. At 6:45 used their app to check on status. First chat person hung up on me. Second apologized for the delay and said the restaurant stated arrival in 10-15 minutes (total lie). Woudn't give a discount except for the service fee and tip (i. E, what goes to the restaurant). At 7:45 still no pizza. 2.5 hours in (mind you, by now I was out). Restaurant had no record of the order. 3rd rep was rude and couldn't give me an ETA if I were to reorder. After all that I had to contact them a 4th time to get a refund, Life is way to short to use this service again.

Terrible

I like to order using this app whenever I can't decide what to eat. Every time the drivers call to let me know my food is here, they are very rude!

The first time I ever used this app, I wasn't aware that you had to add the tip to your total order or tip with cash. Well I don't always have cash on me so I was waiting to sign the receipt so that I could add tip. No receipt to sign... I kindly told the gentleman the situation and that I was unaware of the way the tipping system went with yelp eat24. He rolled his eyes and proceeds to walk away. Then about 5-10 minutes later, the driver calls to pretty much harass me about the tip. He called about 7 times and banged on my door insisting that I needed to tip him or he wouldn't leave! Thankfully my fiancé came home and tipped him with cash and gave him a little talk on how to be a little more polite about the situation.

After that, I decided to give them another shot, a few more chances actually. Each time, the driver is rude, in a rush, and not very personable. They just don't have any customer service. I probably will NEVER order from this app again

Worse service ever

Ordered from them many times. Rarely did I get my order at all and if I did it usually was someone else's.
Customer service was rude, yelled at me and hung up.
If you do not get your order or get the wrong one, they'll only offer to refund you (after waiting for an hour for your food). They will not attempt to redeliver, no apology, basically nothing.

For the record, this is my first 1 star review EVER! I was in Raleigh NC and viewed a local restaurant, and this Yelp Delivery popped up. I used it to order food, because I trust YELP!, upon submitting the order for delivery within the hour I received an email that stated delivery would not happen until 11am the next day! The next day! My original order was for a pizza and wings to be delivered one hour later. I immediately looked for a customer service number on the site to no avail *RED FLAG*, and used the online option to attempt to cancel the order. After emailing, I did receive a phone call and the woman said the restaurant is closed, which was a total lie. I am three blocks away, and this restaurant is open and has a line out on the sidewalk! The customer service rep was very rude, nasty to be frank, she literally told me if I knew the restaurant was open why was I too lazy to go it?!?! I told her to cancel my order and she hung up on me. I then went online to find my account charged (not a pre-authorization, a full charge including the tip) and I had to call Visa to cancel the order. Now that I have had such an awful experience, I went online to check up on this business and am able to see other reviews, almost 100% are terrible reviews similar to mine. It is obvious this business is a fraud and I intend to communicate this to the NC Attorney General so that hopefully this fraudulent business will not scam others. I sincerely hope no one else has to experience this.

Submitted our order and could not reach a human via phone for a full half hour after our order was due to be delivered; finally reached the restaurant we ordered from who stated they would give us a 50% discount bc they've had so many problems with this site

Worst WAIT TIME ever!

By FAR longest wait ever. Really two plus hours for a place to get food from that's 5 miles away? Use use services like this so we don't have to get out of the house... not wait that long like I'm at an amusement park? Oh and when we ordered it said an hour and fifteen minutes and then closer to that time it added another 30 minutes to it to make the wait over 2 hours. WORST app to use. Y'all need to figure it out fast or you will go out of business.

I always order from grubhub app and I've never had a problem, until now

Today I ordered the same thing I do every time and this time around I got no email confirmation, no order number, no text, nothing. Its been 2 hours since I have ordered the food. I got a message on the app asking how my food was but I never got any. I can't ask for a refund because I never recieved an order number so I'm basically out $15

GrubHub gets its cash/cut up front at the order, grabs 'tip' to pay the driver at the same time, then leaves the transaction to sort of settle.

I placed an order for the two of us for in-house dinner last evening with a reliable local restaurant through GrubHub, paid up front with all taxes fees and tips.

The restaurant called me upon notification of the order from GrubHub as one of the main course plates was not available. I ordered a different course.

Upon delivery, I was charged for the non-available plate, replacement plate (both not delivered), as well as our non-available delivered shared dessert plate. I called twice to try and rectify with the restaurant, they could not care less - already got the GrubHub cash.

The well-tipped driver (GrubHub extorts the tip in advance) could not have cared less to check the order at the restaurant.

Do not use GrubHhb
Do not order takeout from A La Folie restaurant on Espanola Way in Miami Beach
Both will cheat you and take your money

A complete sham. They don't have links with their restaurants and don't send drivers to deliver the food that you pay for. Essentially a modern day scam. Restaurant we ordered from ended up just sending their own driver.

Used Eat24 for the first time and last time. Ordered food from a sushi restaurant and Eat24 provided a range of food deliver of 10-35 minutes so I called the restaurant and found out the order did not go through. So I had to re-order and pay at the restaurant. I used the Eat24 support message service to note my issue and received a call. The individual (Andy?) said to see if the restaurant would charge again and that he would call back that evening, which never happened. So the next morning I had to send copies of credit card statements to get my refund. LOT of WORK. Wouldn't use the service again, to painful. Many other on-line ordering options that work flawlessly!

I have been a loyal grubhub customer for about five years in that time I have had at least 8 orders straight up cancelled because drivers just didn't show up to pick up my orders from the resturants. Instead of calling me to tell me so I could possibly pick it up they usually wait about two ours after my order was put in (around resturant closing time) to tell me sorry nothing they can do have some free grubhup cash or whatever. Only I never once received a free grub coupon in my email. I am done, other delivery services may be pricier, but at least you won't be starving in the middle of the night.

The site didn't work as smoothly as I'd hoped it would. I created an account, set up a group order and sent the link out to a few people that wanted to join me. After getting the orders placed, I was ready to finalize the cart, pay my share and submit the order for delivery. And that's when it all began. I spent about an hour on the chat with someone because I kept getting an error (after I paid, of course). We transferred the cart ownership to another person on another computer and it still didn't work. I decided to ditch the cart and just go there in person. She told me that we'd get our money back in a few days after the cart "dropped" off my account. This never actually happened - I had to get back on the chat with them to fix it! Another 45 minutes for them to get to the point and tell me what needed to be done.

Also, I checked my credit card, they had not only requested the pre-authorization - they actually took money from my account. When I asked about the refund, they said within 5 business days. So... they will take your money before you even submit your order AND take 5 days to give it back?

No cool Yelp Eat24. Not cool.

I created a profile on that web. It frustrates me months ago that it doesn't accept or change password. I got an email of $10 off order $15. I wish I wasn't tempted to use this awful service. Now issue accepting my debt card that lasted one hour. I chatted with them, they offer stupid solutions. Not reliable. Waste of time trying to solve their technical issues if they themselves don't do anything about it

They said they would fix the issue, they didnt, then they proceeded to give me a coupon I already had. That's laughable at best. Now nothing is open without high delivery cost, what would cost me under $13 bucks is now $20+. On top of that I waited 3 hours for an order that never came. I have to pay almost double for food that I don't even want but have to buy because I haven't eaten. All because they failed to do their job. And in response to my frustration they send me a $2.00 code when knowing full well I already had that code because that's how I got the order in the first place, you know the one I so obviously never got. Tell me what in that reads off awesome customer satisfaction? Nothing! Like a double slap in the face! Worst customer service ever. I'm going to use another service for now on.
