Damage

A grubhub driver damaged my car in a parking lot the damage was slight, just annoying. But not as annoying as the completely helpless response from grubhub. If they run their operations in the same fashion, I would run the other way

Never again

I really should have read the reviews first before I placed my order. Thank goodness I opted to pay with cash instead. Order did not arrive by estimated time and I had to request for an update on it. It then proceeded to take more than half an hour to arrive. I used to order from this restaurant on grubhub and it would take them around 40-50 mins max from time of placing my order to arrive. I'm suspecting that they only placed my order after I asked for a status update on it. At least I got my order in the end unlike so many others.

I ordered from a restaurant that was listed on available restaurants for my location. Only to be told after ordering and PAYING for the meal that the restaurant said my location was outside of the delivery area. I spoke with their customer service and she said that this does happen that they will allow you to pay for a meal and complete an order to only have it outright cancelled after the money has been taken. They dont even offer you a credit to order somewhere else right away. The only option is to order again somewhere else and PAY again or not order anything at all and wait for the money to be back in your account in 3-5 days. Just ridiculous.

Years ago we may have needed Seamless or GrubHub. But today most restaurants have their own web sites fro ordering. At least you know who your issue is with when things go wrong. When things go wrong at GrubHub they DO NOT stand behind their service unless you really put their feet to the fire. One employee told me the fact that I didn't get food isn't her issue because she didn't cook it.

To add insult to insult, I was unable to leave a review on the site because the non-delivering restaurant cancelled my order. That took away any ability to make a review based on service. This is despite the fact that I had ordered from the this restaurant 3 times before. There is no way to go to an old order and make a review.

So I say, why do you need them if you can use the Internet or your own to place orders? Why should they be getting a cut of the order profits if they are not going to stand behind their service?

Well first off you shouldn't order from GrubHub if you want your dinner within an hour... anyway I ordered something for $35 from the Cheesecake Factory. I waited about 30 minutes and got a call from GrubHub. They said that the Cheesecake Factory was too busy and that they wouldn't accept my order. Technically, I should be mad at Cheesecake Factory which I was and still am. But the fact is GrubHub had already taken the money out of my bank account and told me it wouldn't be returned for another 3-5 days. But they did offer me a $5 coupon... GrubHub needs to make sure the order is confirmed and accepted before they take out any money if restaurants and establishments can simply tell them "no".

After you submit you order, they give a range for a delivery time. Had they give the time before I submitted the order, I would not have used them. The delivery was for 1 hour to 1 hour and 10 minutes. After 1 hour, they text saying it'll be another 25 - 35 minutes. I would never use this service again.

Grub hub was late or never coming was 3 times in a row. Three times! They also have extremely bad customer service and very few food options. It was much better as LA Bite.

I'm a big fan of trying something multiple times before putting my judgment out there. First two times were ok. Took too long. As all reviewers say. But everything was right. Delivery fees. Woooo. Way too high in some cases. One time, I just didn't notice the fee til I cashed out. Blamed myself for not paying attention, but then thought. $7 to deliver locally? What the...?
So this time. Looked at all fees BEFORE I ordered. Picked Buffalo Wild Wings. I was craving wings. The fee was just $2.99. I order. As I'm cashing out it bumps up to $3.99. I go to their contact source. They say it's $2.99+. Ok. Sure. But I only live 1.7 miles away. I ask how something UNDER two miles could possibly legitimize a bump. He said. I'm sorry. I can't help you.
What is up with this company? This is robbery. I will never order from them again.

And oh yeah. Said they were out for delivery at 9:15. Showed up at 10:05. It took nearly an hour for someone to get my food 1.7 miles.
What a rip.
I will only order from people who deliver their own food from now on.
That or someone who does something like GrubHub, but doesn't find lots of ways to steal from you and make you wait a ridiculously long time for something I could walk to faster. Honestly. F this place, forever. Save your money.

I wish I could rate them in the negatives. I ordered food a week ago which never showed up and can not get EAT24.com to refund me my $30.08. They keep saying it may take 3-5 days which it already has. Poor customer service. I do not recommend ordering through the YELP website using EAT24.com, the worst customer service I have ever experienced

Delivery Fees

I am assuming they do not want the drivers tipped very well or us not to use the service at all. $6 for a delivery fee for PF Changs and it is 4 miles from work.

I always order from this one restaurant on grub hub, but I figured I'd give the yelp app a try. I heard people say they like it and first time gets a discount so why not.
I order from the same restaurant and pay for 10pc wings among my other orders, I don't get the right amount because they reported differently to the restaurant.

Customer support says oh well here is a 2$coupon please try our service again. As if! The discount means nothing if their app is not telling the restaurant the right order. Will never be ordering through this again. I don't recommend anyone else take the chance either.

Also they completely tried to put the blame on the restaurant. how shameful

I'm trying to recover my conversation with customer support because they appeared to have just disappeared.
Management will be hearing from me

TERRIBLE TERRIBLE

I placed an order an hour prior to me taking my lunch at work. It was 12:15 p.m. The expected arrival time was 1:00 -1:10 p.m. I check around 1:00 p.m. on my order to see if it was on its way, and the order showed delivered! I called GrubHub and the woman checked on the order for me, she could not locate the driver so I waited on the line and finally at 1:25 she said that she could not locate the driver, so she asked if I wanted to send another driver. I was about to hit my 6 hours at work and had to take my lunch asap so I told her I would pick the food up, and all she said was "ok" and hung up. I am not the type of person to ask for free meals or anything because I know what it is like to work in customer service, but I know when to offer a customer something when they have received very poor service!

Orders never came!

Arrived late night from airport. Decide to order from grubhub the first time since no restaurants around my apartment were open this late. The delivery time is 90 minutes but I waited for 3 hours with patient but the ORDER NEVER CAME!. No follow ups. Will never order Grubhub again!

Ordered 5 items, only 4 showed up. Was refunded the amount of the fifth, but still actually needed the food. Was told I would need to place the order again, pay the fee, tip the driver (when I already had tipped the previous driver based on the 5 items), and wait the 1hr + for food to be delivered so I could eat with my guests.

Not sure who was at fault for incomplete order, but felt that not enough was done to alleviate the mistake and they more or less shrugged their shoulders giving me an "oh well"

They Flat out LIED

Ordered through EAT24 with a $50 minimum. EAT24 called me back and said the restaurant actually has a $150 minimum. They went back and forth saying they'd call me back. Called me back twice. After an HOUR, they ended up crediting me $20 for the hassle and my family did not get food through them. They explained to me that the restaurant wouldn't budge on the minimum. They added that they just bumped them from person to person. Blamed the restaurant completely. That said, we called the restaurant to complain. They said they NEVER TALKED TO EAT24. So we decided to get EAT24 to talk to the restaurant and at the end of it all... EAT24 admitted that they lied. It was the 3rd party that was the problem, but EAT24 blamed the restaurant. NOT GOOD Yelp. NOT GOOD.

I ordered from Hoboken Pie. Hoboken makes a great slice! I tried to order before and the order was cancelled on us after more than an hour waiting for our pizza to be delivered. You know why? SXSW... well hello! A delivery site should know if a world renowned festival is going to affect their delivery capabilities or not right? After all that is their only function. OK so after having to find another dinner for my family at 9pm they gave me a whole $7 promo code for a future purchase... because that makes it better right? No. So I try again. The track my order function on their site is useless, not in real time at all. After half an hour of "my order is in the works" I start a chat with grubhub that tells me the order has reached the restaurant and should be here by the estimated delivery time. So i finally get my order about an hour after the initial order. Not bad for a delivery service, except the awesomeness that is Hoboken pizza is a complete disgrace. It's cold and soggy... ie TERRIBLE! GRUB HUB FAIL! Never Again..

Two hours after placing my order, my food didn't arrive, so I called the restaurant and was informed that the food had been sitting, waiting on a grubhub driver; it would be a kind thought if grubhub would let customers know that they do not have drivers, I mean after all grubhub does ask for an email and phone number.

Awful experience

Awful experience. Food was an hour late from the quoted time. Obviously, it was cold. They didn't bring the kids' drinks or all the dressings. When I went on the customer care chat line the rep. Was dismissive. It was an all around terrible one-time experience, as we will never use them again.
