This "third party relay setup" type ordering method is for the birds. Ordered from a local restaurant only a few blocks away from me, used a first-time discount code, and paid through Eat24 app; restaurant sends driver out with a slip showing I owed full price on my order, and had paid nothing. 5+minute comedy of errors ensues with us arguing at each other in the hallway... thankfully driver eventually took my word for it but come on. The driver and I shouldn't be resigned to dually fumbling with my smartphone in my hallway, to say how I paid for my food The restaurant should send the drivers out with the proper payment slip showing that payment actually has been made, via what payment method, and any discount code that applied to the order... this is basic. If a restaurant can't provide this functionality then they shouldn't be contracting with this service.
I WANT TO START OFF SAYING THAT I DONT EVEN WANNA GET THESE PPL 1 STAR! THE FACT THAT I OREDERED MY FOOD AND DID NOT RECIEVE IT DUE TO THE DRIVE (TONI B -LOUISVILLE, KY) WAS TO LAZY TO FIND MY HOUSE AND LIED AND SAID SHE CALLED AND TEXTED ME (WHICH OF COURSE THAT DID NOT TAKE PLACE). THEN TOLD THEM THAT SHE SENT ME AN EMAIL (WHICH DID NOT HAPPEN AGAIN, AND WHO IS LOOKIN AT THEIR EMAILS FOR A CONTACT FROM THE DRIVER). I WENT TO CALL GRUBHUB TO LET THEM KNOW THE SITUATION AND I WAS TOLD THAT I COULD NOT GET A REFUND CAUSE SHE ATTEMPED TO DELIVER IT, BUT SHE REALLY DELIVERED IT TO THE WRONG HOUSE. SO I WAS OUT OF $45 AND NO FOOD AND IM 7MOS PREGNANT... SO I ASKED THE LADY TO GET MY ORDER BACK OUT TO ME SINCE I CANT GET MY REFUND AND I WAS TOLD SHE COULD NOT DO SO AND I WOULD HAVE TO GO ONLINE WO GO IT MYSELF WITH THE $45 FREE FOOD THEY SENT TO MY EMAIL. I REALLY DID NOT WANT THAT EITHER. I THINK THAT WAS JUST TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND IF I HAD THE RIGHT TO SHUT THIS PLACE DOWN, TRUST AND BELIEVE I WOULD. NEVER ORDER FROM THIS PLACE!
Ordered from GH in January and it took them over 2 hours to deliver and food was barely warm (Put a meat thermometer in it and it was 104 degrees). I ordered again tonight (Big mistake) and was told it would be here between 11:35 and 11:45. They called at 11:34 saying they can't find my apartment. So I go out to the street and wait for 25 minutes. Nobody drives by and nobody went to my apartment. I still haven't received my food and it's over an hour after the restaurant closed. So, it's going to be cold and I won't be happy with it. Should've learned my lesson the last time.
Absolutely will ruin the food from your favorite restaurant! Never again! This was the 3rd time we had used GrubHub. The first time they were 30 minutes past their quoted time but the food was still hot and good. 2nd time they were 1 hour past their time, same restaurant, same food ordered, but it was not as good. This time new resturant, but we have eaten there dozens of times, but the food they delivered was more than an hour late and cold. I called their customer service line, was placed on hold for more than 10 minutes with no help! Do not ruin your evening with this service!
I will never use this app ever again. I ordered my food at 10:05pm, the restaurant does not close until 11:00pm. I was sent an email claiming that the restaurant received and was preparing my order. I received a second email saying that my order was completed and being delivered... Then yet a third email saying that my order was being cancelled and that the restaurant was now closed. The real killer was that they could not refund my money back to me for 3 to 5 business days, which is totally unacceptable for me as a customer. I will never deal with them ever again and I am going to tell everyone that I come in contact with in Austin not to use this crappy service.
Its friday, I have an important business meeting scheduled at 5. I placed an order at 2:57pm to feed my employees prior to the meeting. The delivery was scheduled to be here between 3:40 and 3:51. At 4:01 I get a message that the order was cancelled. Not explanation as to why. Now all the money I had prepaid on my credit card is being held until next week when the bank releases the funds. I have less than and hour to feed 8 people and get them to a meeting. What a crock!
I've only used this service a couple of times and they have gotten 2 orders incorrect without correcting the orders. Once I received breads sticks instead of chicken strips and didn't get refunded or the food replaced. And another similar order I didn't receive the sauce for my sauce dependant food. That may sound funny but imagine if you ordered spaghetti and never received the spaghetti sauce. You would expect to get the sauce or a full refund. But grubhub expects you to eat the noodles without sauce and they'll give a $5 discount on the next order not taking into consideration that you don't want to eat dry $15 noodles without any sauce. I will never order through grub hub and will never recommend this service to anyone, ever. DO NOT ORDER FROM GRUBHUB! They don't care about getting your order correct and will take your money without a refund. DO NOT ORDER FROM GRUBHUB!
I place an order. They say 90-130 min for my food. Iwas 3-4 mile away from the restaurant. 2hour later i call custom serivce they call the delivery company. Then they say my order was cancel my order becuase i was to far away to delivery. The delvery guy go by the head office radius. They refund my money. The part is hard to understand is the delivery comp has a contact with eat 24. Eat24 let the delivery comp treat there custom any type of way. This is crazy
We are so sick and sad that a great company like LA Bite, whom we have relied on for several years for easy, pain-free, on-time food delivery, has merged with Grubhub. We gave it a shot for the first time this evening and were SORELY disappointed. The default method of delivery on their web site is "Delivery", but when our food hadn't arrived over an hour later, we called. Grubhub said we told them we would pick the food up at the restaurant. WHAT? First off, if we intended to pick up our meal, WHY THE HECK DO WE NEED GRUBHUB? We would have simply called the restaurant! Why did we add a 10% driver tip? We have never seen such incompetence and will never use Grubhub again. My favorite news headline would be Grubhub Bankruptcy.
Every single time we call in 4 hours early before noon and they are late at least an hour from noon. This company is not reliable. Last time using it. Over it.
OMG THE WORST FOOD SERVICE IN THE ENTIRE UNIVERSE! SO I ORDERED FOOD FROM OMAHA NEBRASKA. APPARANTLY MY BUILDING NUMBER IS IDENTICAL TO SOME ZIPCODE IN NEW YORK SO THEIR SYSTEM SHOWED MY OMAHA ADDRESS WHEN I SUBMITTED THE ORDER, BUT WHEN THEY RECEIVED IT IT SHOWED NY ADDRESS. AFTER WAITING CLOSE TO 2HOURS, THE DELIVERY GUY CALLED AND SAID HE COULD NOT FIND MY PLACE. TALKED TO A PERSON WHO CALLED HIMSELF A MANAGER AND HE SAID HE WILL REFUND MY MONEY IN 5 TO 10 BUSINESS DAYS AND I WAS NOT GETTING FOOD AT ALL. LIKE WHAT THE HELL? I REQUESTED FOR REAL MANAGEMENT TO CALL ME AND HE GAVE ME THE BOSS'S EMAIL AND IT WAS UNDELIVERABLE. GO F'N FIGURE! THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!
$#*!ey's Barbecue Pit in Anaheim messed up my order and my lunch. They gave me the wrong stuff and then told me to call back Grub Hub. Grub Hub said they did not want to send a driver out so they asked for a refund. They said if I wanted my food then I would have to place a new order and buy more stuff.
Never using Grub Hub again and I will do all possible to destroy their name. I am a web engineer and am determined to be one of their worst problems.
Today me and my friend placed a reorder for some food we had ordered before. Upon delivery our order was completely wrong. We called the restaurant and they told us call eat 24. We call eat24 and they advise that it may have been a glitch however they will not be taking fault for it and only offered a $2 or $5 discount. I feel since this is something that was at fault of their system not properly working they should have taken care of the order and ordered me my proper order to replace. Why should I only get a $5 discount when I paid full price and your system ordered it wrong. I will no longer order from eat24 and I will make this very clear to many organizations, clubs and social media outlets!

Have ordered thru LA Bite for years and always with great results! Recently Grub Hub for Work bought the service. Customers were led to believe that all would remain the same. Last night I ordered as I so often do. A mistake was made in my order. I very politely called to let them know, and offered to make an additional order in order to receive what was missing, if they would throw in the missing item and not charge me a delivery fee. I told them that I would also tip the driver as usual since the error was not his fault. I always tip 20%, btw. I was rudely told via Holly on live chat that they would do it for me this once, since they aren't supposed to be delivering to me any way, since I am not a business. I, again, politely asked if I could call and speak with a manager on the phone to help me understand. I called and spoke with Donald? Or Daniel? No matter. He told me that he was documenting that he was telling me that they could not deliver to me. Did not apologize, nothing. I attempted some humor but he was quite simply, humorless. I mentioned that they had not communicated that clearly with existing customers. I also mentioned that while I do work a "regular" job, that I also do work out of my home, so why could't that be said to be a business location? He said that he thought someone at corporate actually went around to check out the existence of bona fide store fronts! Of course, I had to laugh at that thought. Further, the minimum for most deliveries is $15. Some are $40. If the order meets the minimum, why can't they deliver? I am within their geographic boundaries, of course. I was told to use grubhub.com which is extremely limited and virtually useless. What AWFUL customer service! So missing LA Bite. If I could have given a "zero star" I would have. I guess the fact that they answered their phone earns them "one star".
DONT ORDER FOOD using GRUB HUB. I ordered food in a restaurant where the restaurant is like 2 miles away from me. I ordered at 2:30 PM. At first, I got an email saying food will be delivered to me at 3:30 PM. I called GrubHub at 3:45 PM to know about the status because the food wasn't delivered at 3:30 PM. The girl on the phone said the driver is like five mins away. I called again at 4:05 PM because food didn't come. A guy in customer care picked up and said you would receive food at 5 PM. The customer care $#*!ING LIED to me. Worst customer care and worst delivery system. Stay way from GrubHub. If you are hungry use Ubereats, it is better, and at least they will make food free if they don't deliver it on estimated time. These people gave me zero compensation for taking 2:30 hours to deliver my food and lied about it.
So I was schedule one day from 11am to 2pm. But unfortunately I was not able to toggle in on the driver app at 11am due to Grubhubs app issues. The representative changed my schedule from 11:20am (when I called in) to 2pm. I explained to them why am getting docked 20minutes for YOUR app not working properly? They didn't give my 20 minutes and unfortunately I was not given the minimum of 11/hour for 2 whole hours.
I was also transferred to a supervisor, and didn't catch his name because he was so RUDE and he HUNG UP on me!
I ordered at 10:35 and given an estimated time of 1141 1151 and then when i checked back they had added another hour to my delivery. They told me they tried to contact driver and could contact driver. Two hours to wait is really ridiculous and the only offer was a ten dollars. Never again. Ubereats for now on
I had put a order for P. F. Chang's through grub hub the delivery time was at 5:45-5:55. Then changed to getting it at 7pm, the sauce we had gotten with it was not the sauce we'd hope for. The Grubhub driver sat in her car for about 30minutes in front of our house. It was definitely scary looking out my window and seeing her still there. I thought that this must be the reason why she was coming late. Then I called grubhub and she magically disappeared like she knew what I was doing. Probably the last time I am ordering from them. I almost called the cops if she was there after calling grubhub.
Great idea. Horrible implementation. Gave 2 hour notice of an order. ETA comes and gets moved out 45 minutes. Ask what the problem is and they say they dont have a driver. Ok. Hmm. Seems like a huge flaw in your business model if you cannot find a driver with a 2 hour notice. So food sits there for an hour as they try to find someone to do the only thing their company exists to do... Business model doesnt work. Short the stock to $0
Answer: I travel for a living and have experienced the lousy service that is Grub Hub. From Philadelphia PA to Shreveport LA and multiple other cities THIS SERVICE SUCKS. There's nothing good to say about it.
Answer: Both. But he is not alone, unfortunately. He only got exposed. Millions others are working in politically intolerant places. We have to change that.
Answer: Yes, it is normal. Original delivery times are almost never met. No drivers, Lost Drivers, Poorly trained or untrained drivers.
Answer: LOL... no kidding right! How can places take 2 hours to get food to you and not necessarily at a peak time. Good luck! Hope you were able to cancel it, but wonder if it showed up in the mean time. For this reason I no longer use a card but pay cash when I get the food. Hope you've managed to eat something by now.

Answer: Answer: Grub Hub does suck big time. No real answer. If you like cold food, delivered late and an "oh well" customer service attitude, Grub Hub is the company you should use.
Answer: They just don't care. Company motto must be "customer comes last". They simply trying to salvage whatever market share they can before they get bought out by a superior service that actually cares about customers.
Answer: Nothing. By this inaction I would say to quit using this bad business. Go with UberEats or maybe try getting your own food.
