Let me assist you sheep in understanding a few things.
1. Calling the restaurant if your food is late or cold or wrong and them telling you they did everything right is foolish. What did you expect them to say? Drivers don't open containers and look at your food - that would be unsanitary and uncool.
2. You live on the 4th floor but don't add an apt number, or your house is not marked well, or you know GPS often messes up your address... etc, what do you expect when stuff is late and you failed to give good directions?
3. Most important, you don't tip or tip lousy. Here is the rub people; drivers are not Grubhub "employees", they're independent contractors who make it on tips and a flat delivery rate regardless of distance or challenges. If you don't tip or the delivery total is too low (because you didn't tip or tipped just a buck or two), very few will accept the offer to deliver and you may get your food very late, or not at all.
Let me explain this to you. Driver A is sitting 5 linear miles from restaurant when offer comes in, but it's 7 traffic miles across town to drive. From the restaurant to your home it's 3 linear miles - but 5 traffic miles to drive. You tipped nothing, and Grubhub pays the driver in linear miles at avg. 25 cents per mile from restaurant only with a flat rate of $3.50. So do the math:
3.50 delivery rate. 75 mileage rate
4.25 total for 30-45 minutes time, finding parking, getting food, finding you, delivering food, driving 12 miles total.
A driver is not going to accept that offer, and why would they?
You want delivery tip 4-5 bucks minimum. If you can't afford it - don't order delivery.
Unfortunately this was not a good experience. After forgetting half my order and re delivering that half and hour later my order still was not right and both deliveries were cold. When my food that was missing was re delivered the sides that i paid additional money for was missing. I will not be using your services

I placed an order at 2 and didn't have my order at 4. Called the restaurant and they stated my food was ready 20 minutes after I ordered it, and it was cold by now. Called Grub Hub to find out an update and found my order was pushed back 2 more hours but they count tell me why. They person on the phone didn't understand why I wanted to cancel my order. If you want cold food long after you order it, they go with Grub Hub, they will not disappoint.
I'm very satisfied with GRUBhub and i have order many times with GRubhub very amazing service and also on time every time. Delicious food option are amazing. IN addition their drivers are very professional and take the extra mile to make sure that your food arrives fast. In addition their drivers are treated well and you have a tipping option unlike other option such as UBER EATS that do no tip their drivers and exploit them.
They cancelled my order and told me I had to wait 2 to 3 business days for my refund! I don't even know why they cancelled it. That's very shady.
My order was wrong. I reached out to eat24 customer service and they said that there is nothing they can do about it. No refund and no corrected order. I will never use them again!

I used for a work function in Portland OR--food was over 1.5 hrs late. Tried tonite in AZ ordered at 7:26 with eta of 8:25-8:35. Got a nice little text at 8:47 that order had been delivered when in fact it had not. Never again my friend do not recommend!
I decided to try out ordering from GrubHub to see what it was like. I ordered 3 items from a nearby BBQ restaurant. The driver came about an hour later, handed me a small bag then turned around and quickly left. When i checked my bag I only had one of the 3 items that cost $8 when I paid $32. I immediately contacted their support who eventually sent me a coupon for $15 off my next order. So i paid $17 for $8 of food and that was somehow acceptable to them. This website is a SCAM do not use them.
I've used GrubHub only a handful of times and on two separate occasions, the food never arrived. They're easy with the refunds and apologies, but waiting an hour for food that does not arrive (then having to wait another hour for a new order) is not acceptable when there are other options that do a better job (Eat24 and Delivery.com).
Not doing this again. They make it seem like the delivery is free, then in small print next page you find out the delivery charge... customer service put me on hold for over min. Not happy with the service at all.
The food went to the wrong hotel. I never got my food. Instead of giving me a refund, they gave me a "credit" for $27.11 that I have 2 weeks to use. In other words, I am going to eat the cost of that meal. Thanks?
Food arrived an hour late and very cold. I paid $33 for the order, and they gave me a coupon for $7. Their CS agent logged out of the chat before checking if I was done talking. Super rude. They just lost a client.
This $#*! service brings us several ONE star reviews and yelp never want to stop this service even we called, emailed them numerous times! PLEASE DON'T SIGNED UP!
Grubhub should go out of business with UberEATS hitting the scene. I have had 3 orders now in which they use a crappy restaurant that is 3 hours late with my order. My order tonight was just not confirmed with the restaurant, and no notification. Customer service didn't even offer anything! They suck!
I ordered from a local restaurant, Pollos Mario, Hackensack, NJ. 4 miles away, but with a baby, easier to order delivery. The overcharged on separate items-above the order total on the website--they delivered a week old brownie in a one ounce pool of liquid. Ordered at brownie with ice cream. Had to toss this $4.75 item in the garbage. Attempted to reach restaurant and Eat 24--neither replied to online response service or email.
--ensure you never order at either. Hate to see a small business go down-but this is 0-2 with the restaurant. As for Eat24: THEY SIMPLY ARE THE WORST
We ordered, payed, received confirmation, then got a call from the restaurant saying they don't deliver to our area. Tried to get a refund and was told it will take 5 days. Then, GrubHub says if the restaurant doesn't deliver, they will... oh, only if they WANT TO. You would think they would be able to figure a way to know the companies they deal with delivery areas so you don't spend $50 to be denied. And, whoever they contract to be their drivers should be bound by the GrubHub contract to deliver. We were told, well it's up to them if they want to... we are only. 25 miles out of deliver area to begin with. Never again, do not recommend
Twice in one week! I was hopeful I would get good service. The driver took 45 minutes to drive 1 mile and called to ask me to meet them. Hmm - I paid for a delivery fee and tip! When I told them where to park they took an extra 15 minutes. So GrubHub gave me a $5.00 coupon. Tried again today. Driver actually came to my office but after a 45 minute drive the food was cold and she brought the wrong food. I let GrubHub know - they blamed the restaurant - and then said they would issue a refund for the missing food. They do issue a refund - less the $5.00 coupon I used for previous bad service. They can't seem to get their act together. BUH-BYE Grubby GrubHub!
Places an order a day ahead of time and scheduled to me delivered between meetings (11:30a.m.). Did not show up until 12:30pm. Food was cold. I called the restaurant to make sure it wasn't there fault, but they had the food ready and waiting. WILL NEVER USE THIS SERVICE AGAIN!
Unless you are in a wheelchair, do not use this service. I ordered for a dinner party. The order was made around 5pm. We didn't get the food until approximately 8pm. After the delivery guy left, we discovered that the order was incomplete. I called immediately and was told that delivery was closed and they could not do anything about it. (At this point, it was only 8:15 on a Saturday.) They were willing to refund the cost of the item they did not deliver and credited us for $6 for delivery. The thing is that WE PAID ALMOST $35 FOR DELIVERY. THE ONLY SERVICE THIS COMPANY PROVIDES IS DELIVERY. The attitude of the customer service person (Leola out of Sacramento) was appalling. Essentially, she said "tough luck". The worst!
Answer: I travel for a living and have experienced the lousy service that is Grub Hub. From Philadelphia PA to Shreveport LA and multiple other cities THIS SERVICE SUCKS. There's nothing good to say about it.

Answer: Yes, it is normal. Original delivery times are almost never met. No drivers, Lost Drivers, Poorly trained or untrained drivers.

Hope you were able to cancel it, but wonder if it showed up in the mean time. For this reason I no longer use a card but pay cash when I get the food. Hope you've managed to eat something by now.

Answer: Answer: Grub Hub does suck big time. No real answer. If you like cold food, delivered late and an "oh well" customer service attitude, Grub Hub is the company you should use.
Answer: They just don't care. Company motto must be "customer comes last". They simply trying to salvage whatever market share they can before they get bought out by a superior service that actually cares about customers.
Answer: Nothing. By this inaction I would say to quit using this bad business. Go with UberEats or maybe try getting your own food.
